Introduction
The user manual will guide you through the operations of the DVB-S MPEG2 SD Set Top Box Model CSR-
201SP.
This product is a high-performance & cost-effective DVB-S satellite receiver. It provides users access to
Free-to-air (FTA) television channels & radio services.
Main Features:

Safety Precautions
WARNING:
➢Do not use this STB where contact with or immersion in water is possible. Do not use near flower
vase, washbowls, kitchen sinks, laundry tubs, swimming pools, etc.
➢Do not put the candle or lamp stand on the cabinet; otherwise, there is a danger of fire.
➢The unit should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating
instructions or as marked on the unit. If you are not sure of the type of power supply (for example,
120 or 230 V) in your home, consult your local dealer or local power company.
➢This product contains sensitive electronic components, do not open cabinet and touch the insides.
Consult your local dealer for technical service if opening of the STB is somehow required.
➢Unit Cleaning: After the unit power is turned off, you can clean the cabinet, panel and remote
control with a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution.
➢Attachments: Never add any attachments and/or equipment without the manufacturer’s consent;
such additions may result in the risk of fire, electric shock, or other personal injury.
➢Location: Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation to protect the STB from
overheating. Do not block these openings or allow them to be blocked by placing the STB on a bed,
sofa, or other similar surface, nor should it be placed over a radiator or heat register.
➢Power-Cord Protection: Place the power-supply cord out of the way, where it will not be walked
upon. Please pay special attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where
they exit from the unit.
➢Object and Liquid Entry: Never put objects of any kind into this STB through openings, as it may
touch dangerous points or short-circuit parts that could result in electric shock. Never spill any
liquid in the STB.
➢Parts Replacement: When the STB needs to be repaired , the user should make sure that this STB is
serviced by the manufacturer or authorized service centre. Use only the manufacturer-specified
spares to avoid electric shock or any other hazards.
➢Safety Check: After all the maintenance and repairs are done, user should request the service
technician to conduct the overall safety check to ensure that the machine is in the proper
condition.

Installation Diagram:

Basic Operation
1. Turn on STB
Make the connection as given in connection diagram. Turn on the STB by switching on the adaptor
mains power supply.
2. Standby
Press [Standby] key for the STB to enter the Standby state.
In Standby state, press [Standby] key again to recall the last channel.
User can also disconnect the device’s main power to end the Standby state.
3. Channel Up/Channel Down
In full screen, press [CH+/CH-] to change channel.
4. Volume Up/Volume Down -
In full screen, press [VOL+/VOL-] to adjust volume.
5. Number
In full screen, use number key and press [OK] on the Remote Control Unit to change channel.
6. Mute
Press [MUTE] key to mute the sound and the screen will show up mute on the screen.
Press [MUTE] key again to restore sound.
7. Audio
In full screen, press [AUDIO] key to open the “Audio Setting” window on the screen.
8. TV/Radio
In TV mode, pressing [TV/RADIO] key can switch to Radio mode. In Radio mode, press
[TV/RADIO] key to switch to TV mode.
9. Channel List
Press the [OK] key while the program is playing in full screen to open channel list.
10. Recall
In full screen press [RECALL] key to switch to the last viewed channel. The program name and
channel information are displayed at the bottom of the screen.
11. FAV
This key can call up the Fav Channel Group List when there are no other menus in full screen.
12. Menu
Press [MENU] key to open the menu, exit the current menu to last menu or close the window.
13. OK
Press [OK] key to open the channel list. Press [Left/Right] keys to move the highlight and press
[OK] to play the highlighted channel.
14. EXIT
Press [EXIT] key to exit the current menu to last menu or close the window.
15. Info
Information key.

Installation
The user interface has various ways to navigate through the menus and functions. Some of the keys on the
remote control unit gives direct access to the functions. Important keys are identified as EPG, colored keys,
MENU and OK, Other keys are multifunctional changes dependent of the mode that you are in.
Unless otherwise specified; this note explains the way you can navigate through the pages of the user
menu.
➢Use the UP/DOWN keys to move the cursor up or down from one line to another line.
➢Use the Left / Right keys to move the cursor left or right from one line to another line.
➢Use the OK key to enter the sub-menu.
➢Use the EXIT key to leave the menu end return to the view mode.
➢Use the Left / Right keys to select one from the pre-programmed options in the sub-menu.
➢Use the OK key to confirm the selection
➢The yellow cursor indicates the active selection.
THE MENU OPERATION
Once you have installed and connected the cables of the Set Top Box, press menu key on the RCU to display
the Main Menu.
Under Main Menu –the screen will show:
A. TV channel
B. Radio channel
C. Program Setup
D. Edit Program
E. Information
F. Language
G. System Setup
H. Game
I. Cancel
➢Use the Up/Down keys to move the cursor up or down in the menu.
➢Use the OK key to confirm selection.
➢To escape the menu system at any time, press EXIT key on the RCU
➢If there are some programs already tuned in the Set Top Box, user can press OK to enter the TV
channel List.

A. TV Channel
You can manage the tuned TV channels by deleting and moving them as per your requirement.
B. RADIO CHANNEL:
You can manage the tuned Radio channels by deleting and moving them as per your requirement.
C. PROGRAM SETUP
Under Program Setup, the screen will show:
➢Add New Program
➢Edit LNB Freq
➢Parameter Setup
➢Auto Scan
➢Cancel

Add New Program:
➢In the Program Setup menu, select the option Add New Program and press OK.
The screen menu will show:
➢LNB Freq: Enter starting and ending freq.
➢TP Frequency: Input the value by using the numeric keys.
➢Symbol rate: Symbol rate of the current transponder.
➢Polarization: Vertical or Horizontal polarization.
➢Search: Select the desired mode for scanning.

Auto Scan:
Go to Auto Scan under Program Setup and select OK button on Remote control unit.
The Auto Scan menu menu will show:
➢LNB Freq: Enter the starting and ending LNB frequencies.
➢Scan Mode: Select a Scan mode among Free and All. Free for FTA channels and All for FTA and
Scramble channels.
➢22K: OFF
➢DiSEqC: OFF
After entering the above details in the OSD Menu, press OK to Auto Scan all satellite channels (TV Channels
and Radio Channels and press OK to store.

D. EDIT PROGRAM:
To Access Edit Program screen, through the main menu:
Press MENU to enter the main menu. Toggle down to Edit Program option.
The option will be highlighted. Press OK to enter the option.
To delete a channel
➢In the edit program section, toggle to the channel using up/down arrow keys.
➢Locate the channel you want to delete, and press OK. The channel will be marked with the symbol
“X".
➢Repeat step 2 with those channels you want to delete.
➢To confirm the deletion press EXIT to exit the edition channels menu. You will see a confirmation
message.
➢Pressing the arrow keys select option "OK" and press ok to confirm the deletion, or select Cancel
and press OK to cancel.
To delete all channels:
➢In the edit program screen toggle to Del all option.
➢A dialog will appear asking your permission to delete all channels , Press OK to do so and press
cancel to abort the process.

TO MOVE:
➢In the edit program screen, toggle to move.
➢Pressing the arrow keys, select the channel you want to move and press OK. You will see the
channels marked with the symbol.
➢Pressing the arrow keys, locate the point you want to put the selected channel and press OK.
➢Repeat steps 2 and 3 for those channels you want to move.
CANCEL:
Go to Cancel and press OK to go back to previous menu.
E. Information:
It will show information regarding the selected channel.

F. Language Setting:
Select the desired language for menu
G. System Setup:
TV System:
Go to TV System
Menu shows TV System: AUTO / PAL / NTSC
Set PAL or AUTO for India.
Audio Setup:
Go to Audio Setup
Menu shows Audio Track and Audio Mode
Audio Track: You can select Track as per the broadcasted audio language, if available
Audio Mode: You can select Stereo / Left / Right as per your requirement
Default Value:
This feature will delete all the stored channels, so do not use this function.
Satellite Guide:
This feature is not useful for your application.

RF Setup:
This feature is not useful for your application.
Auto Shut Down:
To set the time for shutting down STB automatically.
Software Upgrade:
This feature is not useful for your application.
OSD Setting:
Menu Color:
➢Allows you to select the desired color for menu.
➢Transparence: you can adjust the transparency level by using the arrow keys from 0% to 80%

H. Games:
You can Play the following three games under Game Section.
