3. Description
The ZX30 power LED are designed to replace pool projectors, traditionally fitted with 300W
PAR56 incandescent bulbs. They are installed in most pool niches (with PAR56 format).
They come with powerful LED to improve the quality and reli-
ability of the lighting of your pool while reducing your energy
consumption.
The colours are created by mixing 3 primary colours: Red (R),
Green (G for "Green") and Blue (B) and adjusted by the lighting
of white LED (W for "White").
By adjusting the intensity of these four colours, it is possible to create more than 4 billion shades!
The addition of white sources will retain the advantages of RGB, and adds on those provided by
white LEDs. Besides the fact that an unbelievable number of colours can be provided, the forte of
the white is that it provides additional tones by the "pastel colouring" of colours
Ofcourse,RGBWdoesnotsimplymakeitpossibletoexperimentwithaninfinitenumberofcolours,
it has new features which enable it to establish a new relevant and appealing lighting system. A
"purer" white can be created, as it gets closer to the white of the sun. And generally, there will be
purer colours! Furthermore, the total lighting power is greatly increased due to the power of these
white LEDs.

4. Compatibility - Control
The BRIO ZX30 LED can operate autonomously with simple power cuts applied to the on/off
switch, or be controlled remotely using an RC system (Brio RC, MOD Brio RC or MeteoR with
OPT Brio RC), or a RC+ system (Brio RC+, MeteoR2).
Beware, with a view to ensuring that your installation is compatible with the other projectors of the
BRIO range, please adhere to the following instructions. In the event of use:
• In autonomous or RC mode, only install the with RC compatible products.
• In RC+ mode, only install the RC+ compatible products.

modes: 11 set colours and 7 programmes;
Mode Type Description
1 Set colour Pure white
2 Set colour Blue
3 Set colour Blue lagoon

17 Sequence Random sequence 1
18 Sequence Random sequence 2
Change of mode
The mode can be changed by
cutting the power supply of the
for a very short space of time
(less than 1s).
By successive interruptions, it is
possible to display the 18 oper-
ating modes. After mode 18, the
ZX30 return to the first colour
(mode 1)
Reset
To reset the and take them to
mode 2 at the same time, the
power supply should be cut for
approximately 2s.
When the projector is started up
after a cut of several seconds
(more than 4s), the ZX30 loads
back up in the mode displayed
at the time it was last shut down.
6. Safety
If the temperature inside the ZX30 is abnormaly high, a safety device shuts off the lighting and
produces a red flashing light. As soon as the normal temperature returns, the return to normal work-
ing order.

7. Electrical Connections
Installing this product could expose you to an electric shock. We strongly rec-
ommend that you use a qualified professional. An installation error could put
you at risk and irreversibly damage the product and the equipment connected
to it.
In compliance with the standard NF C 15-100, underwater lighting installed
in volume 0 must always be supplied with SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage).
Turn off the power supply upstream before doing anything to the electrical
installation.
Risk of Electrical Shock. Connect only to a circuit protected by a ground-fault
circuit-interrupter (GFCI). If you cannot verify that the circuit is protected by
a GFCI, contact a qualified electrician.
On the projector side, the cable must be equipped with "eye" or "fork" terminal lugs for a proper
connection (Ø 4 mm). If the lugs have larger holes, it is possible to use the flat washers supplied. The
length of the dejacketing must be a maximum of 3cm to ensure correct installation (leak tightness).
1. Pass the cable through the cable gland, then insert the
Ø22x1.78mmo-ring o22x1, 78 mmand pass thewhole
thing through the threaded hole of the cap. Do not set
up the cable gland for the time being.
2. Connect the terminal lugs in the spaces provided
for this purpose, using the two screws provided
(M4x8mm). Take care with the orientation of the lugs
opposite the notch is on the outside of the projector.
Tighten the connections to avoid potential overheat-
ing.
3. Set up the cap, taking care that the o-ring remains in
place. The cable outlet should face the notch. Then,
secure the cap using the eight 3x8mm screws. Tight-
ening must be sufficient to crush the seal properly but
must not be too tight, due to the risk of damage to the
projector. The recommended torque is 1.2Nm.
4. To finish, put the cable gland in place, taking care that
the o-ring remains in place. Tightening must be suf-
ficient to crush the seal properly but must not be too
tight, due to the risk of the seal coming out of position.
The electrical supply connection the other side of the cable
must be performed dry, in a sealed connection box whose
cable glands must be tightened in order to avoid any water
infiltration.

Once startup and the operation tests are complete, it is recommended to drown
the connection with a reusable soft hydrophobic insulating gel. (ref. CCEI
PNSP0002)
8. Installation
The ZX30 are installed instead of 300W incandescent bulbs in most of swimming pool niches (in
PAR56 format). First, glue the patches into the niche and fix the tabs, then connect the cable and
close the cap.
8.1. Patches sealing
To ensure good fixing the engraved arrow under the patch (at the glue side)
should point inside the pool

8.2. Tabs mounting
Mount the 3 fixing tabs at the back of the light with the provided screws and nuts (screw has to go
through the holes on lens' edge. Nut has to be inside after placing the tab) :
8.3. Trim mounting
According to the trim selected it is clipped or mounted using the screws supplied:
Chroma Nova*, Bahia, Bahia XI
One of the two trim's screws is also used to fix
the tab.
*NOVA only : In the case of a swimming pool with liner glue the
edge of sheet metal seal supplied on the outside of the stainless
steel trim, to avoid damaging the coating.

8.4. Mounting in the niche
Pass the cable through niche's cable gland, then pull it through the electrical conduit. Be sure that
there are enough cable to remove the light from the niche !
Place the tabs in front of the patches then clip the light in the niche after rolling up the cable.
To remove the light it is necessary to turn it in order to release it.
9. Transformer power
The transformer to be used should have a sec-
ondary voltage of 12V (12.5V according to the
model). Its power should be in keeping with the
power of the to be connected.
At any rate, the sum of the powers of the should
remain below or equal to the power of the power
Transformer power Max. no. of X30
50VA 1
100VA 2
300VA 6
It is preferable to use transformers sold in power supplies from the same man-
ufacturer.
10. Projector Protection
Independent protection is necessary for each ZX30. Protection must be ensured in the secondary of
the transformer using fuses or breakers at 4A.
