General Information

Warranty
The warranty covers defects in material and/or workmanship only.
Product warranty period will expire at the earliest of:
• The battery pack has been charged* 300 times
• 12 months after the battery pack has been first taken into use
• 13 months after delivery of the battery pack
• ”Charged” shall mean any charge of the battery pack that increases the state of charge of the battery by more than
10%.
• Normal wear and tear, and loss of performance due to normal wear of the cells is not included within the warranty.
• Warranty does not apply if a battery pack has been abused, misused, opened, dismantled or modified.
• Warranty repairs are only performed in CHICAGO PNEUMATIC workshops or by Certified Service Partners.
Damage to the battery pack that occurs as a result of maintenance performed by parties other than Chicago Pneu-
matic or its Certified Service Partners during the warranty period is not covered by the warranty.
• CHICAGO PNEUMATIC offers extended warranty and state of the art preventive maintenance through its Tool
Care contracts. For further information contact your local Service representative.
THIS WARRANTY IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, IN-
CLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND MERCHANTABIL-
ITY.
IN NO EVENT IS CHICAGO PNEUMATIC LIABLE FOR DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF THE VALUE OF

Operating Instructions
How to use the battery pack
NOTICE Usage recommendations for battery packs
Ensure a longer service life of the battery pack.
►Unplug the battery pack when the tool is not used.
Do not leave the battery pack on the charger when the charger power supply is off.
WARNING Only use or store the battery pack in an ambient temperature interval stated in chapter
Technical data.
Initial start
On delivery, the battery pack is in Deep sleep mode.
Use the battery pack charger to charge the battery pack before using it.
How to charge the battery pack
Attach the battery pack to the charger, slide it into position.
To get more information on the battery pack charger, refer to the Product Instructions (printed matter:
8940176811) available at www.etools.cp.com.
To remove the battery pack from the charger, slide the battery pack out from the holder.
How to read the State Of Charge (SOC)
The State Of Charge (SOC) is the level of charge of the battery pack relative to its capacity.
Press button (1) briefly (less than 3 seconds).

How to check the State Of Health (SOH)
The State Of Health (SOH) measures the condition of the battery pack compared to its ideal conditions.
It enables to know if the battery pack should be replaced or not.
Press button (1) during more than 3 seconds.

Consumption mode
To avoid the unwanted discharge of the battery when not in use the battery will switch to deep sleep mode after 1 day
of no use.
The battery will automatically wake-up when inserted on a charger, on a tool or when the latch button is pressed.
If the battery was already on a tool , the one day counter will be triggered when the tool enters the shutdown mode.
In that case the battery need to be removed and inserted again or the latch button pressed for wake-up.

Maintenance instructions
WARNING Only use or store the battery pack in an ambient temperature interval stated in chapter
Technical data.
Do not modify or attempt to repair the battery pack.
For safety reasons, the battery pack should be serviced only by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.
How to store the battery pack
Respect the storage temperature given in chapter Technical Data [Page4].

Trouble-shooting
Description Solution
The battery pack is not operational:
- no LED display when pressing the gauge button
- no power when connected to a tool
Plug the battery pack to the battery pack charger.
The temperature protection has been activated.
LED 2 of the gauge level blinks 3 times.
Let the battery pack cool down.
Do not use the battery pack over the operating temperature
(see Technical data).
The battery pack provides power to the tool but LEDs are not
working when the gauge button is pressed.
Long press on the gauge button for more than 8 seconds.
Very deep discharge The battery pack must be disposed of according to local reg-
ulations and replaced.

Garantie
La garantie couvre uniquement les défauts des matériaux et/ou de fabrication.
La période de garantie du produit expirera au plus tôt:
• Le bloc-batterie a été chargé* 300 fois
• 12 mois après la première utilisation du bloc-batterie
• 13 mois après la livraison du bloc-batterie
• Par «chargé», on entend toute charge du bloc-batterie qui augmente l'état de charge de la batterie de plus de 10%.
• L'usure normale et la perte de performance due à l'usure normale des cellules ne sont pas incluses dans la garantie.
• La garantie ne s'applique pas si un bloc-batterie a été mal utilisé, ouvert, démonté ou modifié.
• Les réparations dans le cadre de la garantie ne sont effectuées que dans les ateliers de CHICAGO PNEUMATIC ou
par des partenaires d'entretien agréés. La détérioration du bloc-batterie consécutive à un entretien inadéquat ou réali-
sé par des parties autres que CHICAGO PNEUMATIC ou ses partenaires d'entretien agréés pendant la période de ga-
rantie ne sera pas prise en charge.
• CHICAGO PNEUMATIC propose une extension de garantie et un entretien préventif à la pointe de la technologie
par le biais de ses contrats Tool Care. Pour en savoir plus, s'adresser au représentant SAV local.

Comment utiliser le bloc-batterie
AVIS Recommandations d’utilisation pour les blocs-batterie
Assurez une plus longue durée de vie de la batterie.
►Débranchez le bloc-batterie lorsque l’outil n’est pas en service.
Ne laissez pas le bloc-batterie sur le chargeur lorsque ce dernier est hors tension.
AVERTISSEMENT Utilisez ou stockez le bloc-batterie uniquement dans un intervalle de température
ambiante indiqué au chapitre Caractéristiques techniques.
Démarrage initial
Lors de la livraison, le bloc-batterie est en mode veille profonde.
Utilisez le chargeur de bloc-batterie pour charger le bloc-batterie avant de l'utiliser.
Comment charger le bloc-batterie
Fixez le bloc-batterie sur le chargeur, faites-le coulisser en place.

Pour retirer le bloc-batterie du chargeur, faites coulisser le bloc-batterie hors du support.

Mode consommation
Pour éviter une décharge indésirable de la batterie lorsqu'elle n'est pas utilisée, la batterie passe en mode veille pro-
fonde après 1 jour d'inutilisation.
La batterie se réactive automatiquement lorsqu'elle est insérée sur un chargeur, sur un outil ou lorsqu'on appuie sur le
bouton de verrouillage.
Si la batterie se trouvait déjà sur un outil, le compteur d'un jour sera déclenché lorsque l'outil entrera en mode arrêt.
Dans ce cas, il faut retirer la batterie et la remettre en place ou appuyer sur le bouton de verrouillage pour la réacti-
ver.

AVERTISSEMENT Utilisez ou stockez le bloc-batterie uniquement dans un intervalle de température
ambiante indiqué au chapitre Caractéristiques techniques.
Ne pas modifier ou tenter de réparer le bloc-batterie.
Pour des raisons de sécurité, le bloc-batterie ne doit être entretenu que par le fabricant ou des prestataires agréés pour
l’entretien.
Comment stocker le bloc-batterie
Respectez la température de stockage donnée dans le chapitre Caractéristiques techniques [Page11].

Dépannage
Description Solution
Le bloc-batterie ne fonctionne pas:
- aucun affichage LED après une pression sur le bouton de
jauge
- pas de courant après raccordement à un outil
Branchez le bloc-batterie sur le chargeur de bloc-batterie.
La protection thermique a été activée.
La LED 2 du niveau de la jauge clignote 3 fois.
Laisser refroidir le bloc-batterie.
N'utilisez pas le bloc-batterie au-delà de la température de
fonctionnement (voir Caractéristiques techniques).
Le bloc-batterie alimente l'outil mais les LED ne fonc-
tionnent pas lorsque l'on appuie sur le bouton de jauge.
Appuyez longuement sur le bouton de jauge pendant plus de
8 secondes.
Décharge très profonde Le bloc-batterie doit être mis au rebut conformément aux ré-
glementations et remplacé.

Garantie
Die Garantie deckt ausschließlich Material- und/oder Herstellungsfehler ab.
Der Geltungszeitraum der Produktgarantie endet jeweils zum frühesten der folgenden Zeitpunkte:
• Der Akkusatz wurde 300-mal geladen*
• 12 Monate, nachdem der Akkusatz zum ersten Mal in Betrieb genommen wurde
• 13 Monate nach Lieferung des Akkusatzes
• „Geladen“ bezeichnet dabei jede Ladung des Akkusatzes, welche den Ladezustand des Akkus um mehr als 10%
erhöht.
• Üblicher Verschleiß und Abnutzung sowie Leistungsverlust aufgrund der normalen Abnutzung der Zellen sind
nicht in der Garantie eingeschlossen.
• Die Garantie gilt nicht, wenn ein Akkusatz missbräuchlich verwendet, entgegen der vorgesehenen Verwendung
eingesetzt, geöffnet, zerlegt oder modifiziert wurde.
• Garantiereparaturen dürfen ausschließlich in CHICAGO PNEUMATIC -Werkstätten oder durch zugelassene Ser-
vice-Partner durchgeführt werden. Schäden am Akkusatz, welche aufgrund von Wartungen auftreten, die während
des Garantiezeitraums durch eine andere Partei als CHICAGO PNEUMATIC oder dessen zugelassene Service-Part-
ner durchgeführt werden, sind nicht durch die Garantie abgedeckt.
• CHICAGO PNEUMATIC bietet im Rahmen seiner Tool-Care-Verträge eine erweiterte Garantie sowie moderne
präventive Wartung an. Kontaktieren Sie für weitere Informationen Ihren örtlichen Service-Vertreter.

Betriebsanleitung
Verwendung des Akkusatzes
HINWEIS Gebrauchsempfehlungen für Akkupacks
Sorgen Sie für eine längere Lebensdauer des Akkupacks.
►Entfernen Sie das Akkupack bei Nichtverwendung des Werkzeugs von diesem.
Lassen Sie das Akkupack nicht im Ladegerät, wenn die Stromversorgung zum Ladegerät abgeschaltet ist.
WARNUNG Verwenden und lagern Sie den Akkusatz nur innerhalb des im Kapitel Technische Daten
vorgegebenen Umgebungstemperaturbereich.
Erstmalige Inbetriebnahme
Der Akkusatz befindet sich bei Lieferung im Tiefschlaf-Modus.
Verwenden Sie das Akkusatz-Ladegerät, um den Akkusatz vor der Verwendung zu laden.
Laden des Akkusatzes
Legen Sie den Akkusatz in das Ladegerät ein und schieben Sie ihn in Position.

Um den Akkusatz aus dem Ladegerät zu nehmen, schieben Sie den Akkusatz aus der Halterung heraus.
