Introduction
Welcome to CircuitMess Buttons, the
Wacky Robot build guide!
By following this build guide, you'll learn how to assemble your Wacky Robot Buttons!
Buttons is a beginner-friendly 10-piece kit.
With Buttons, you'll learn about different electronic components and oscillators and
synthesizers.
After you finish building Buttons, you'll be able to play fun sounds on it.
Age group
This product is 7+.
Make sure to have an adult helping you with the assembly process. It's okay to ask for help.
Assembly time
It should take you approximately 1 hour to fully assemble your Artemis.
Skills
You don't need any specific skills before getting your hands dirty with this DIY project.
The main objective here is to have fun and learn something new.

Here's the list of components:
1. Stickers
2. 3x AA batteries
3. Battery holder
4. Acrylic casing
5. Pushbuttons
6. 8x standoffs
7. 4x black bolts
8. PCB
9. Speaker
10. 2x metal screws
Buttons, meet your maker!
Part one - Removing the protective foil
The first step is to peel off the protective foil from all of the acrylic casings.
Remember to remove the foil from the other side as well.
Once you remove the foil from both sides, the casing should be completely transparent.
Part two - Speaker
For the next step, take the speaker, PCB and the smallest acrylic casing:
Take the connector on your speaker, and connect it here:
This is how the casing should be put on the board:
But first, make sure you remove the speaker's sticky protection:
Stick the sticky side of the speaker to the casing, like this:
Attach everything on the board so that the holes in the casing and the PCB line up:
Put this aside for a moment.
Part three - Battery holder
Now, take the battery holder, two metal screws and two standoffs.
Put the metal screws into the battery holder like this:
The next step is to take the standoffs and fasten the screws with them.
This is what your battery holder should look like right now:
Take the PCB and the speaker you put aside and connect it with the battery holder like this:
Make sure to turn the battery holder this way (so that the wire is turned up) so you can
easily attach it to the battery connector.
Connect the battery holder to the PCB:
