Operating and Changing Instructions
OPENING THE LOCK
OPENING
1. Press # and type in your PIN code (the factory setting for user 1 is 1 6 8, for user 2 it is 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8
2. If your PIN code is less than eight digits press # to confirm your number after entering the digits. (e.g. #
1 6 8 #)
3. The LCD display will show “OPEN”. Turn the handle to the right (clockwise); the safe door is now
open.
N.B. If you do not want the LCD display to show your PIN code when entering it first press # followed by *
and the display will show only small squares when each digit is entered. If you input an incorrect number
when entering in your PIN code press * to delete the last digit entered. To delete all the digits press * and
hold it down for two seconds.
CLOSING
1. Close the door and turn the safe handle to the left (counter clockwise); the safe door is now locked.
CHANGING THE FIRST USER CODE
1. First, open the safe as described above
2. Press the red RESET button located on the back of the door
3. Enter your new PIN code using the lock key pad; this must consist of between 3 and 8 digits.
4. Press # to confirm your PIN code
5. The LCD display will show “IN”
Your new code has been accepted.
CHANGING THE SECOND CODE
1. First, open the safe as described above
2. Press #
3. Enter 0 0
4. Press the red RESET button located on the back of the door
5. Enter your new PIN code using the lock key pad; this must consist of between 3 and 8 digits.
6. Press # to confirm your PIN code
7. The LCD display will show “IN”

EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
When using the safe for the first time or when the batteries have run down an
external power source is used.
Insert four AA batteries into the battery holder supplied taking care to observe the
correct polarity.
Using the jack plug connect it to the keypad as shown.
MECHANICAL OVERRIDE KEY
Should the batteries run down completely or the lock malfunction the safe can
be opened in an emergency by using the mechanical override key.
Locate the small hole in the bottom side of the fascia plate on the safe door.
Using the jack plug from the external power pack or similar, push up into the
hole to uncover the override lock.
When the lock is revealed insert the override key and turn to the right
(clockwise) to unlock the door.
Turn the handle to open the safe.
After opening the safe and replacing the batteries, turn the override key to the
left (counter clockwise) and take out the key. Replace the plastic cover.
DO NOT KEEP THE EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY OR OVERRIDE KEY
INSIDE THE SAFE.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Wrong try lock out
If an incorrect PIN code is entered three times in a row a beep will sound for 10 seconds and the lock
will not operate for 3 minutes.
Please wait three minutes before attempting again to enter your PIN number.
Low battery warning
When the batteries are low the LCD display will show “LO-BAT” whenever the lock is used.
Please change the batteries immediately (4 x AA size 1.5V)
