Carefullyunscrewtheadjustertoallowthespringtoreassert,until it is loose enough
for the tool to be removed.

Selectthe spring holderthatmostclosely
fits the spring to be compressed and
slide it on to the adjuster until it locks
into place, as in 1 below.
NOTE: The holder may be fitted to the adjuster
OR the threaded post, depending upon application...design
of cylinder head etc.
Selectthethreadedpostthatallows thetoolto befittedcorrectly withthe threaded
post bearing up against the valve head, and the spring collet positioned over the
spring as shown in 1.
Turn the adjustertocompress the spring, thenpriseout the collets securingthevalve
as in 2, ensuring the spring holder, spring and threaded post are directly in line.
