Forward/ReversehandleorswitchintheNEUTRALposition,turnthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition,

partsareinterchangeable,butoneortheothermustbeinstalledatalltimesduringvehicleoperationtoachieveproper

FORWARD/REVERSECONTROL

TheForward/Reversehandleislocatedontheseatsupportpanel(Figure10).Thehandlehasthreedistinctpositions:
F(FORWARD),N(NEUTRAL),andR(REVERSE).Rotatethehandletowardsthedriver(FORWARD)tooperatethe
vehicleintheforwarddirection,ortowardsthepassenger(REVERSE)tooperatethevehicleinreverse.ClubCar
vehiclesoperateatreducedspeedinREVERSE.Theenginecanbestartedonlywhenthehandleisinthestraight
upposition(NEUTRAL).TheenginemustbeatidlebeforeshiftingtheForward/Reversehandle.Seepreceding

BATTERYWARNINGLIGHT
ElectricVehiclesOnly
Electricvehiclesfeatureadash-mountedwarninglight(totherightofthekeyswitch)that,whenthevehicleisin
operation,indicateslowbatteryvoltageor,whenthevehicleisbeingcharged,indicatesachargingproblem.The
warninglightiscontrolledbytheonboardcomputer.
Whenthevehicleisinoperation,thewarninglightwillilluminateandremainilluminatedif:
•Batteries’voltagedropsbelow48voltswhenthereisnoloadonthebatteries(thevehicleisstoppedandthere
arenoaccessorieson).
•Batterieshavedischargedtolessthan25%ofratedcapacity.
Ifthewarninglightilluminateswhenthevehicleisoperating,therewillbeenoughpowerremainingtodrivethevehicle
forapproximately30minutes.However,thevehicleshouldbechargedattherstopportunity.Ifthewarninglight
illuminatesandthevehicleisunabletooperatefor30minutes,haveyourClubCardistributor/dealercheckthe
vehicleforapossiblebatteryorelectricalsystemproblem.
Whenthebatteriesreceiveanincompletechargebecause1)theDCpowercordisdisconnected,2)ACpower
tothechargerisinterrupted,3)automaticchargershut-offoccursafter16hoursofoperation,or4)thecharger
malfunctions,thewarninglightwillindicateasfollows:
•Thewarninglightwillnotilluminateifthechargeis90%ormorecomplete.Theonboardcomputerwillretainin
memorytheamountofchargeneededtofullyreplenishthebatteriesandwillcompletethechargeduringthe
nextchargecycle.
•Whenthechargerisunplugged,thewarninglightwillilluminateandremainilluminatedfor10secondsifthecharge
islessthan90%completebutthevehiclehasenoughpowerforapproximately30minutesofoperation.Thiswill
alerttheoperatorthatthevehiclemaybeused,butthatitmustbechargedtocompletionassoonaspossible.
