Safety
• Read through theinstruction manual before use.
• Never use spare parts or accessories which are not recommended by thesupplier.
• The charger is only intended for charging rechargeable lead-acid batteries for
cars, boats, recreational vehicles and for maintenance-free lead acid and so-
called Gel-batteries. Charging other types of batteries than these can damage
thecharger, battery or other property.
• The charger is not suitable for batteries rated under 50 Ah.
• Battery acid is corrosive. If any acid comes into contact with your skin or eyes:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water and immediately contact adoctor.
• The charger is not intended for use as apower supply unit.
• Only charge rechargeable batteries.
• Only use thebattery charger indoors in awell-ventilated place.
• During charging thebattery can emit explosive gases. It is therefore important
to avoid making sparks close to thebattery. Avoid letting thecharger clamps
come into contact with each other at all costs. Do not smoke in thevicinity of
thebattery during charging.
• Wear safety glasses and turn your face away when you connect or disconnect
thecharger clamps.
• Do not cover thecharger.
• Do not leave thecharger unattended for long periods while in use.
• Never expose thecharger to moisture or humidity.
• Always disconnect thecharger from thepower supply before cleaning it or when
it is not in use.
• Do not pull themains lead when disconnecting from thewall socket.
• Never use thecharger if it is damaged. Do not charge damaged batteries.
• Do not open thecasing. Certain components inside thecasing are exposed and
carry dangerous electrical current. Contact with these could result in electric shock.
• The charger should only be repaired by qualified service personnel.
• Avoid charging small batteries with alower capacity than that recommended in
thespecification. This may lead to thebattery becoming overheated.
• Do not charge acold battery with frozen electrolyte. Let it thaw before starting
acharge.
• This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from
physical or mental impairment. This product should not be used by anyone
without sufficient experience or knowledge if they have not been instructed in its
use by someone who will take responsibility for their safety.

Product description
Three-stage automatic high frequency charger which significantly shortens
thecharging time. Can be set to quick-charge or recondition-charge mode.
Suitable for AGM and Gel batteries.
Digital diagnostics which monitor thebattery’s status and charge. Automatic cold-
charge mode. Clear, illuminated digital display. For large 12 V batteries (car batteries)
50–350 Ah.

Use
Before use:
• The charger must be connected to a12 V battery. Check therating plate.
• Place thecharger as far away as possible from thebattery.
• Never place thecharger over or under thebattery.
Connecting the charger
• For most vehicles thecharger can be connected to thebattery whilst connected
to themains. If this is allowed, follow theinstructions in theCharging abattery in
avehicle section.
• If thebattery must be disconnected from thevehicle before charging, follow
theinstructions in thesection Charging abattery out of avehicle.
• The charger clamp that ISN’T connected to thechassis must be connected
first. The other charger clamp should be connected to thechassis away from
thebattery and vehicle’s fuel supply. Only when these connections have been
made should thecharger be connected to themains.
Charging a battery in a vehicle
Connection
1. Connect thepositive (red) charger clamp to thepositive terminal of thebattery.
2. Connect thenegative (black) charger clamp to thenegative terminal of
thebattery, OR to thevehicle’s chassis or engine block.
Disconnection
1. Turn off thecharger and pull theplug from themains.
2. Remove theblack (negative) charge clamp from thenegative
terminal/chassis/engine block.
3. Remove thered (positive) charger clamp from thebattery.
4. Replace thebattery’s terminal covers if any.
Charging a battery out of a vehicle
Connection
1. Connect thered (positive) charger clamp to thebattery’s positive terminal (+) and
theblack (negative) to thebattery’s negative terminal (-).
Disconnection
1. Turn off thecharger and pull theplug from themains.
2. Remove theblack (negative) charger clamp from thebattery.
3. Remove thered (positive) charger clamp from thebattery.
4. Replace thebattery’s terminal covers, if any.

Display symbols
Note: will appear on thedisplay if theambient temperature
exceeds 40 °C. will appear if theambient temperature is
below 0 °C. This means that thedevice’s automatic temperature
compensation feature has been activated.
• If thecharger clamps are incorrectly connected in regards
to polarity thedisplay will show thefollowing symbol. The
plus and minus icon will flash and analarm will sound until
thecharger clamps are disconnected. Reconnect thecharger
clamps to thecorrect battery terminals.
• When thecharger clamps are correctly connected and
thecharger is connected to awall socket thedisplay will show
thefollowing symbol. Press [Charge ] (6) to begin charging.
• The display will show theoutput current charging thebattery.
The battery level icon will change constantly during charging
and thearrows pointing to theplus and minus icons will flash.
• If thecharger is overheated thedisplay will show the
following icons:
• The display will show “FLO” to indicate that thecharger is in
float charge mode. The battery icon will display full charge and
thearrows pointing to theplus and minus icons will flash.
• Checking thebattery’s voltage. Press [Battery Voltage] (7).
The display will show:
• Checking thebattery’s voltage during charging.
Press [Battery Voltage ] (7). The display will show:
• Reconditioning thebattery.
It is recommended that you periodically recondition your
battery for optimum use. This process takes about 24 hours.
To begin, press [Battery Recond] (8). You can interrupt
charging by pressing this button once again. Certain batteries
take more than 24 hours to recondition. If this is thecase
restart theentire process. Note: If after 5 tries your batteries
performance does not improve then it is time to change
thebattery. The display will show thefollowing during
reconditioning:

Quick start timer
When pressing [Quick Start Timer] (9) thedisplay will show thefollowing:
The display will start and an8 minute charge countdown. The battery level icon will
change during charging and thearrows pointing to theplus and minus icons will flash.
The display will stop flashing when thecountdown reaches 0. The “pump engine”
will flash for 2 minutes. The engine will then be ready to start.
Note: After the“pump engine” has flashed for two minutes thecharger will return to
charge mode. To stop charging, press [Charge ] (6).
If theprocess must be repeated for theengine to start, thecharger must be allowed
to rest for 5 minutes before restarting theprocess.
Care and maintenance
• Use asoft damp cloth to wipe theproduct.
• Never use abrasive cleaning agents.
• Before carrying out any maintenance disconnect thedevice from themains.
Troubleshooting guide
If thecharger doesn’t start:
• Make sure that thecharger is connected to a220–240 V AC electrical socket.
• If battery voltage is under 4 V thebattery cannot be charged using this
specific charger.

Follow local ordinances when disposing of this product. If you are unsure of how to
dispose of this product, please contact your municipality.

• Utsatt aldrig laddaren för fukt eller väta.
• Koppla alltid ifrån laddaren från vägguttaget före rengöring eller när du inte
använder den.
• Dra inte i sladden när laddaren ska kopplas ur vägguttaget.
• Använd aldrig laddaren om den har blivit skadad. Ladda inte skadade batterier.
• Öppna inte höljet. Farlig spänning finns oskyddat på vissa komponenter inuti
produktens hölje. Kontakt med dessa kan ge upphov till elektriska stötar.
• Batteriladdaren får endast repareras av kvalificerad servicepersonal.
• Undvik laddning av små batterier med lägre kapacitet än vad som rekommenderas
i specifikationen, det kan leda till att batteriet överhettas eller kokas ur.
• Ladda inte ett kallt batteri med frusen elektrolyt, låt det tina upp innan
laddningen påbörjas.

Användning
Innan användning:
• Laddaren måste vara anslutet till ett 12 V-batteri. Kontrollera typskylten.
• Placera laddaren så långt som möjligt ifrån batteriet.
• Placera aldrig laddaren ovanför eller ovanpå batteriet.
Anslut laddaren
• För de flesta fordon, etc. får laddaren anslutas till batteriet när den är ansluten
till vägguttaget. Om detta är tillåtet, följ instruktionerna i avsnittet Ladda ett batteri
ifordon.
• Om batteriet måste kopplas bort från fordonet innan laddning, följ instruktionerna
i avsnittet Ladda ett batteri frånkopplat från fordonet.
• Laddningsklämman som INTE är kopplad till chassit måste anslutas först.
Den andra laddningsklämman ska anslutas till chassit iväg från batteriet och
bränsletillförseln på fordonet. Endast när dessa anslutningar är gjorda får
laddaren anslutas till elnätet.
Ladda ett batteri i fordon
Anslutning
1. Anslut den positiva (röda) laddningsklämman till batteriets pluspol.
2. Anslut den negativa (svarta) laddningsklämman till batteriets minuspol,
ELLER till fordonets chassi eller motorblock.
Koppla från
1. Stäng av och dra ur laddaren från vägguttaget.
2. Ta bort den svarta (negativa) laddningsklämman från chassit.
3. Ta bort den röda (positiva) laddningsklämman från batteriet.
4. Sätt tillbaka de eventuella locken på batteriets poler.
Ladda ett batteri frånkopplat från fordonet
Anslutning
1. Anslut röda (positiva) batteriklämma till batteriets pluspol (+) och
svarta (negativa) batteriklämma till batteriets minuspol (-).
Koppla från
1. Stäng av och koppla ur laddaren från vägguttaget.
2. Ta bort den svarta (negativa) laddningsklämman från batteriet.
3. Ta bort den röda (positiva) laddningsklämman från batteriet.
4. Sätt tillbaka locken på batteriets poler.
