manufactured according to the newest technology available.
The air urifier LR 150 is equi ed with a multilevel filter system, which has been develo ed
according to the newest technology available. The ionizer converts ositive air- article to
negatives (like air is cleaned while a thunderstorm).
Dust, ollen and smoke can be abolished.
Read the manual carefully, es ecially the safety instructions.

Before starting u
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the ower lug is removed from the socket outlet
before o ening the device. Electric shock can cause fatal injury. Have re airs
carried out only by an authorized worksho .
1. O en the filtercover on the side of the unit and take it out
carefully.
2. Take the 3in1 filter out of the lastic sheeting and insert it back
in the device. The main filter should normally be changed every 6-
9 months.
a) To make sure you do not forget, stick the su lied sticker on the
outside of the device. This serves as a color indicator for when to
change the filter. When the filter is the same color as the sticker, it
is time to change it.
b) The white side of the main filter must face towards the front,
then you will have inserted it correctly.
3. Put the filtercover into the closed osition again.
4. Plug in the device.

Starting u
Power
•
Press this button to switch the unit on or off.
• If you are not intending to use the device for an
extended eriod of time, we recommend that you ull the ower lug.
Timer
• Use this function to select the o erating time for the device. The interval you can select,
again by re eated ressing, is either 2, 4 or 8 hours, or continuous o eration.
• Continuous o eration is indicated when all three LEDs are dark.
• The remaining time is also shown by the LEDs.
Speed
• The s eed of the blower can be changed during o eration by re eatedly ressing this
button to switch between Low, Medium and High.

UV- and Anion-switch
• This Switch is for switching the UV light and the ionizer on and off.
1. Press: Ionizer and UV-light on.
2. Press: Ionizer off and UV-light on.
3. Press: Ionizer off and UV-light off.
The basic setting is ionizer on and UV-light off. The air urifier will be back in this
setting after the 4. ress of the switch.

UV-light
• The UV light rovides a natural degerminating effect in the device.
• The TIO filter after the HEPA & activated carbon filter is activated by the UV light. This
filter will not work without the UV light. The TIO filter uses the rinci le of
hotocatalytic effects to reduce numerous odor-building inorganic com ounds.
abgebaut.
ANION
• Only ress this switch if the air in the room has already been urified for a while (after
a rox. one hour when used for the first time or after heavy air contamination).
• The ions which are released form what are known as ion clusters in the air. As a result,
even the smallest of dust articles accumulate together and can be absorbed by the air
urifier.
• If the humidity level in the room is high, the walls will become dirty very quickly if the
ionizer is switched on, so it should not be switched on if this is the case.
Installation
Standing: Stand the device on the floor, a stable table or similar
object with a smooth surface.

Changing the filter
Changing the main filter:
The frequency with which the filter has to be changed de ends, of course, on the amount of
contamination and use. As a general rule it should normally be changed every 6-9 months.
Change the filter if the following roblems arise: The erformance of the fan dro s and the
noise level increases at the same time. The surface of the filter changes color until it becomes
similar to that of the indicator. If you notice that the filter has got to a oint where it no lon-
ger removes much dust and dirt from the air.
For information on how to change the filter, lease refer to the section “Before starting u ”
at the beginning of this manual.
Useful information:
The filter we use in our device is no different in terms of design to the ty es of filters which are
used extensively in laboratories throughout the world wherever the creation of absolutely clean
ambient air is a must. We a ly exactly the same rinci le of o eration for im roving the air in
your home and office.
The installed filter can filter out u to 99.97% of all micro articles (>0,03μ) from the ambient
air. By way of com arison, the human nose filters out articles bigger than 10μ from the
inhaled air. The back of the filter has a coating of activated carbon which also effectively eli-
minates odors in the air.
Cleaning the device
Pull out the power plug before starting cleaning
work!
Cleaning the housing:
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, just a dam cloth
or neutral cleaning agent.
Cleaning the air inlets:
Use a vacuum cleaner or dry cloth.
Cleaning the main filter:
The ventilation effect will dro off noticeably if a lot of dust accumulates
on the surface of the filter. You therefore need to clean the filter once
a month. Use a vacuum cleaner to do so, as shown in the illustration.
For information on how to remove the filter, lease refer to the section
“Before starting u ” at the very beginning of this manual.

Faults and troubleshooting
For our latest operating instructions please go to http://blog.comedes.com
Switch off the device immediately and contact your dealer if any of the following roblems
occur:
• Burned out fuse.
• Extraneous material gets into the device.
• The lug or the ower cable get hot.
Do not o en the device without authorized service ersonnel. However, you can check the
following faults yourself:
The de ice cannot be switched on:
• Is the lug ro erly connected?
• Has the fuse burned out or is there no voltage su ly at the socket outlet?
There is less air flow at the outlet:
• Is the filter too dirty or clogged?
The equipment is unusually loud:
• Has the device been wall-mounted in an unstable osition or are the wall ads missing at
the back?
• Has the device been set u on an uneven surface?

Tips on purifying the air in case of cigarette smoke
Cigarette smoke is com rised of a large range of com lex chemical com ounds. For the air
urifier these are essentially divided into the solid and gaseous com onents of the smoke. The
solid smoke articles are filtered out by the HEPA filter. The gaseous com onents are artly
absorbed by the activated carbon filter and artly eliminated by the TIO2 filter.
• To revent ossible damage to the TIO2 filter, it is im ortant that the main filter is
changed in good time.
• The device needs to be set u as close to the source of smoke as ossible.
• The device should not be set u on the floor. (For smokers we recommend wall-
mounting.)
• The device will have a shorter service life de ending on the number of cigarettes
smoked.
Tips on purifying the air in case of problems with pollen
The air urifier is ca able of filtering all standard ty es of ollen out of the air. These remain in
the HEPA filter. To enable the device to work as effectively as ossible and significantly reduce
the concentration of ollen, we recommend that you create a refuge in which the air urifier
can be stood. The device can only eliminate allergens which are resent in the air, but not
allergens which have settled on beds, walls, furniture, etc.
Therefore, lease follow the instructions below:
• Clean the room thoroughly before using the device.
• Do not use a dustcloth for cleaning, use a dam cloth instead.
• Clean u holstered furniture with a vacuum cleaner at least once a week. Use a vacuum
cleaner suitable for allergy sufferers.
• Mo the room at least once a week.
• Run the device at setting 1 during the day. Place the device on a table. Do not lace it
on the floor and do not sus end it below the ceiling.
• Switch the device off before going to slee .
• Set the fan setting to III while ventilating. Ventilate the rooms ideally between 6:00
a.m. and 8:00 a.m. in urban areas or after 7:00 .m. in rural areas.
Tips on purifying the air in case of problems with household dust
Household dust is generally roduced by mites that live in u holstered furniture, cushions,
covers and mattresses. This is where the household dust remains at first. The air urifier can
only remove household dust which is resent in the air. It is therefore advisable to seal off the
sources of household dust before you start to use the air urifier.
• Cover mattresses in allergen- roof encasings.
• Cover illows and blankets in allergen- roof encasings.
• Wash illows and blankets frequently.
• Re lace old mattresses.
• Use a vacuum cleaner with a fine filter.
• Vacuum clean mattresses once a month.
• Kee dust catchers out of the bedroom.
• Do not ut any indoor lants in the bedroom.
