General description
The Comelit digital call module Art. 3360 can be used in Simplebus and Simplebus Top systems, and is fitted with a name
directory to store a list of names and passwords as well as an alphanumerical keypad to call users by entering the code
which identifies them.
The main characteristics are as follows:
• Display resolution: 128X64 dots/pitch
• Directory memory: 3500 names of 20 alphanumerical characters and 6000 password codes
• 16 languages available for displaying messages on the name directory and, when the second language is set, the
user interface will switch alternately between the main language and the second language (see "3. Setting the second
language" page 12)
• 4 Simplebus or Simplebus Top call management modes (see "5. Setting call management" page 13):

Self-testing
On power-up the device carries out a diagnostic test of
the connections to check the correct communication and
configuration of the porter module Art. 1622, Art. 4680, Art.
4680C.
The message PLEASE WAIT indicates self-testing in
progress. On completion of self-testing, press the key
to put the module in standby.
The word OK should appear next to the menu items with
the name SIMPLEBUS or SIMPLEBUS TOP at the bottom
of the screen depending on the configuration of the porter
module and the directory module.
If the following message appears:
- FAILED check correct serial connection between directory
module and porter module Art. 1622, Art. 4680, Art. 4680C.
- ERROR check that the directory module and porter
module Art. 1622, Art. 4680, Art. 4680C are both configured
to the same system (SIMPLEBUS or SIMPLEBUS TOP)
(see "5. Setting call management" page 13).

This function, if activated, alternately switches the name
directory standby messages from the main language (see
“Setting the language”, page 4) to the second language.
CAUTION: The initial welcome message (see “8. Entering
the welcome message” page 16) if entered, will not be
switched to the second language.
The second language must be set after the main language
has been selected (see “Setting the language” page 4).

5. Setting call management
It is necessary to set the type of system (Simplebus
or Simplebus Top) and then the call mode (Standard,
Indirect code, Immotec standard or Immotec indirect).
Type of system:
CAUTION:for correct operation depending on the type
of system installed (Simplebus or Simplebus Top), it is
necessary to set the porter module Art. 1622, Art. 4680,
Art. 4680C to the same mode.
SIMPLEBUS (default) for systems without switching
devices Art. 1424 in Top 1, 2, 3 mode (see FT SB 21,
page 6) which define the system zones.
SIMPLEBUS TOP for systems with switching devices
Art. 1424 in Top 1, 2, 3 mode (see FT SB 21, page 6)
which define the system zones.
Module Art. 3360 in Simplebus Top mode must be used
in conjunction with compatible products (see table
“Simplebus Top products”, page 34).
Call mode:
STANDARD - SIMPLEBUS (default)
In this mode, the user is identified by a Name field and a
Code field no longer than 3 digits (between 1 and 240).
Example:
User name= Mario Rossi
Code= 2
STANDARD - SIMPLEBUS TOP
In this mode, the user is identified by the Name field
(optional) and a Code field consisting of two parts:
zone field with no more than 3 digits (between 1 and
500)
user field which must have 3 digits (between 1 and 240):
Example:
User name= Mario Rossi
Code= 25 015
The call can be made in the following ways:

INDIRECT CODE -

In this mode the user is identified by a Name field (optional)
and by a Code field which is different for Simplebus and
Simplebus Top, see page 13 and by an Indirect Code with
no more than 6 alphanumerical characters (0...9, A...F).
Example:

Code= 2 (for Simplebus) or 25 015 (for Simplebus top)

IMMOTEC STANDARD
Digital module Art. 3360 can be used in conjunction with the
Simplekey module Art. SK9001, Art. SK9020 by connecting
the two products via RS485 (see diagram on page 35).
In this configuration, the use of Simplekey access keys
(badges) automatically allows entry of the corresponding
code/name (new key) or updating of the name only (if the
code already exists) in the directory of digital module Art.
3360. Since a single user code (apartment) can have up
to 2 access keys associated with it under different names,
during a numerical code call from the digital module the first
name of the 2 in alphabetical order will be displayed.
N.B.: Names cannot be entered and modified manually.
Badge acquisition only takes place when digital mode is in
standby.
IMMOTEC INDIRECT
Digital module Art. 3360 can be used in conjunction with the
Simplekey module Art. SK9001, Art. SK9020 by connecting
the two products via RS485 (see diagram on page 35).
In this configuration the use of access keys allows automatic
updating of the Simplekey access key (badge) name only,
as it appears in the directory of digital module Art. 3360.The
Immotec indirect codes and corresponding names can only
be entered from a PC using software Art. 1249B. Since a
single user code (apartment) can have up to 2 access keys
associated with it under different names, during a numerical
code call from the digital module the first name of the 2 in
alphabetical order will be displayed.
N.B.: Names cannot be entered and modified manually.
Badge acquisition only takes place when digital mode is in
standby.

7. Enabling/disabling the welcome message
This function can be used to enter a welcome message
(MAX 40 characters long, covering 4 lines in block capitals).
The welcome message alternates with the normal
information screens every 4 seconds.
N.B.: the message cannot be switched to the second
language when the SECOND LANGUAGE function is on
(see “3. Setting the second language" page 12).
