Thank you for purchasing the Hands-Free expandable Video Intercom
Syst em HFX-700M.

This intercom system uses 2-wire installat ion and allows you toidentify
and communicate with callers at the door, from t he security and
convenience of any room inyour home or office. Visitors activatethe
system by pressing a call button on the out door cam era, which sounds
a doorbell chimeas well asturning on t he inside video monitor.
A two-way intercom then lets you speak with visit ors after first visually
identifying them.
It consist s of a monitor station and an outdoor doorbell/ camera unit.
This unit is capable of ex panding up to a total of 4 indoor monit orsand
2 door cameras. Expansion monitors available for this syst em com e in
two models, video (EX-700H) or Audio only (EX-700A).

2.2.1. Visit or Calls f rom Doo r Cam era
A. When the Call button on the camera is pressed, All monitors on the
system will ring with a chime sound and all monitors will be activated.
B. After the call, if nothing on the monitor is pressed, the system will t ime
out after 30 seconds. Ifthe monitor button is pressed, the system
will stay active f or 90 seconds.
C. You are able to terminate the act ivit y on the monitor atany time by
pressing the Cut-off button .
D. Press door release button frommonitor can release remote door
strikeat door cam era.
Operating the video intercom system consists of responding to visitor
calls from door camera, releasing a door strike from indoor monitor;
audio and video m onitoring from any indoor m onitor; voice broadcast
from one monitor to all others; engage intercom funct ionafter voice
broadcast.
2.2.2. Aud io and Vid eo m oni t or i ng
A. Pressing the monitor button will t urn on the audio and video f rom
door camera.
B. If there is a second door cam era on t his system, pressing the Monitor
button again will scroll the image to the second expansion door
camera.
At anytime if you wish to terminatethe monitoring, press the Cut -off
button to terminate the system.

B. During the conversation, press the Monitor Button for 2 seconds to
switch to push-to-talk mode. In this mode, pressing the Monitor Button
(Communication LED willturn on) willactivate the one-way voice
communication to the door camera; releasing the Monitor Button and
(Communication LED turns off )allow for one-way voice com munication
to com e in from the door cam era to the monit or.
C. This function can be usef ul when t he environment at door camera side
becomes too noisy.

A. When system consists of mainmonitor and ex pansion monitor and an
outdoor doorbell/ camera unit, the syst em can provide int ercom function.
B. Press the intercom button from any monitor, all other monit ors will
react by making bell sound. At the sametime, host can speak and
broadcast voice message to all other monitors.
C. The broadcast mode can last for 20 seconds. During the 20 seconds,
any other monitor can answer the call by having the intercom button
pressed in order to engage the intercom communication. Once the
intercom communication has been established, talk t ime is for a
maxim um of 90 seconds. This function provides audio intercom
communication only, monitors will not show any video.
D. At anytime if you wish toterminate the monit oring, press the Cut-off
button toterminat e the system.

A. Open the hidden latch, and unscrew to rem ove door camera unit f rom
bracket.

3.5.3. JP3, external doorbell trigger options

Each Door Camera on the system is able t o operate and release one
elect ric lock. On a f ull system with 2 door cameras, the user isable to
release up to two electric locks. The system can only release one electric
lock at atime, depending on which door camera the call originated from.
There are two door release wiring options that work wit h the Video
Intercom Syst em.
The syst em can either provide a normally open dry contact (figure 1), or
can be conf igured to give power (12V DC 300m A) straight toan electric
lock that is wit hin the power requirements (figure 2). If you are using
power from the system (figure 2), It is necessary to use an elect riclock
that requires less than 300mA of power to engage the strike.

A. Factory setting is lef t( ) which enables automatic LED illumination at
inlow lighting condit ions.
B. Select and plug JP2 t o its right ( )to disable LED illumination of the
doorbell camera at all t imes.
NOT E 1 : When jumper setting is on the left ( ) (fact ory setting), the
DOOR RELEA SE terminals provide as N.O. dry contact, with no polarity
allowing maximum by-pass current of AC24V or DC24V 1A.
NOT E 2 : This opt ion will keep the video on during the release of the st rike.
NOT E 1 : When jum per setting is on the right( ), the DOOR RELEASE
terminals provide current output of maxim um 12VDC/ 300m A.
NOT E 2 : This opt ion will cut CCD power during the operation and there
