GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION:
Read all instructions before attempting to operate this unit. Keep
the assembly instructions for future reference. Keep the original
packaging for use when storing the heater during extended
periods of non-use.
INTENDED USE:
Electric utility heaters are designed to meet a variety of heating
requirements. This product is intended for indoor and outdoor
domestic use only; not for commercial use. Use only with
electrical wiring that is in good working order and that meets
applicable codes and ordinances. This heater must be plugged
in to a 120V AC, 15 Amp (or larger) circuit. Do not plug anything
additional into the same circuit. If you have any questions
whether your wiring is adequate, consult a qualied electrician.
Risk of re, overheating, malfunction, property damage, injury or
even death may result if not adhered to.
When indoors, use your heater only with a working smoke
detector located in the vicinity of your heater.
While using your heater, you should follow the IMPORTANT
INSTRUCTIONS listed below. As part of those instructions, we
have used the word “WARNING”to indicate the level of hazard:
WARNING indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, could result
in injury or death.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of electric shock, re, or injury to
persons, including the following precautions:
• This heater will get hot when in use. Do not touch hot surfaces.
• CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become very hot
and cause burns.
• Do not move the unit when in use. Wait until the heater is
completely cool before moving and check that it has been
unplugged from the power supply.
• Keep combustible material such as furniture, papers, clothes,
curtains, bedding cloths, papers, trees, leaves, dry grass and
bushes at least 3 ft (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and
away from the sides and rear.
• The heater must be a minimum of 6 ft (1.8 m) away from the
ground and a minimum of 1.5 ft (0.5 m) away from the ceiling
of a building or overhanging items.
• Never install your heater on a combustible surface. Do not
mount on plastic or vinyl.
• The heater must not face with the heating element pointing
upwards towards a ceiling. The heater element must be facing
the area it is to heat.
• In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater. Do not
put any blankets, articles of clothing, or other ammable
material covering the heater.
• Keep children and pets a minimum of 1.5 ft away from the
heater.
• Supervision is needed when this product is used anywhere
near children. The heater is not intended for use by children
or other persons without assistance or supervision if their
physical, sensory or mental capabilities prevent them from
using it safely.
• Do not operate the heater if there are any signs of damage or
malfunction of the heater.
• Do not attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical
functions on this heater. The unit does not contain any user
serviceable parts. Only a qualied electrician should perform
servicing or repairs.
• In case the power cord is damaged call Customer Service.
• Do not handle the heating element with bare hands. If it is
inadvertently touched, remove nger marks with a soft cloth
and methylated spirits or alcohol, otherwise the marks will burn
into the element causing premature heater failure.
• Do not replace or attempt to replace the infrared heating
element in this product.
• This product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. This heater
is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry rooms, or other
similar indoor areas. Never locate heater where it could fall into
a bathtub, swimming pool, or other water container.
• Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands or feet.
• Do not run the power cable under carpeting. Do not cover the
power cable with rugs, runner, or similar coverings. Arrange
the power cable away from foot trafc and where it will not be
tripped over.
• Do not wind the power cable around the heater.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or
opening on the heater, as this may result in electric shock, re,
or damage to the heater.
• To prevent a possible re, do not block the air vents.
• A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not
use in areas where gasoline, paint, explosive and/or ammable
liquids are used or stored. Keep unit away from heated
surfaces and open ames.
• Where possible, avoid the use of an extension cord as this may
overheat and cause a re.
• Always ensure the heater is plugged into a suitable socket, one
that is tested for outdoor use.
• To disconnect heater, tum controls to OFF, then remove plug
from socket. Do not unplug by pulling on the power cord.
• Always unplug the unit and ensure the unit is completely cold
before moving, cleaning or storing.
• This heater is intended for domestic use only. For commercial
use, please consult an electrician.
• The use of attachments on the heater is not recommended.
• Check exterior walls for areas of damage before installing the
heater.
• Always use on a dry, suitably strong, stable, at and level
surface.
• Check exterior walls for communication and electrical cables
and pipelines. Should any service lines be present in the
immediate vicinity do not install your heater, nd an alternative
location to install this product.
• This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room
temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when
occupied by people or pets not capable of leaving a room on
their own, unless constant supervision is provided.

WARNING:
This heater has a voltage rating of 120 volts. The cord
has a 3-prong grounding-type plug (A) which ts the 3-slot grounded
receptacle (A2). DO NOT remove the grounding prong (A1) if only a
2-slot receptacle (B) is available.
For connecting 3-prong grounding-type plug to 2-slot receptacle, use
an ADAPTER (C). The grounding lug (C1) extending from the adapter
must be connected to a permanent ground with the Metal Screw (D)
such as a properly grounded outlet box (E).
The adapter should not be used if a 3-slot grounded receptacle is
available.
DO NOT DEFEAT THE SAFETY PURPOSE OF EITHER
A GROUNDED PRONG OR A GROUNDED LUG.

WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Do not use with damaged cord or plug. Use with adequate
electrical system that is up to code.
CAUTION: PREVENT LECTRICAL SHOCK
This product has a three prong grounded plug that must be
inserted into a matching properly grounded outlet to reduce
the risk of electrical shock. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
DO NOT operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or
after heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any
manner. Do not operate heater with a broken heating element
or ceramic cone or any visual imperfections. Disconnect power
before servicing. For repairs covered under warranty, see
warranty statement. For all other repairs contact Comfort Zone®
Customer Service by telephone or mail for information and
assistance.
PET OWNERS NOTE
The health of birds and some small pets are extremely
sensitive to the fumes given off during the initial use of many
appliances. Although these fumes are not harmful to humans,
it is recommended that this heater not be used around birds and
small pets during its initial use until the manufacturing corrosion
coatings burn off.
HEATER INSTALLATION
ATTENTION!
• The heater must only be operated in a horizontal position with max. ± 15°
slope. For safety, do not mount your heater in a vertical or diagonal
position. Never install your heater on a combustible surface.
DO NOT mount on plastic or vinyl.
• The distance of your heater from the ground should be a minimum of
6 ft (1.8 m).
• The distance of your heater from the ceiling should be a minimum of
1.5 ft (0.5 m).
WARNING: For your safety, do not attempt to alter this heater in any way.
Do not attempt to perform repairs on your heater. Consult a professional
electrician.
WALL MOUNTING
1. Please make sure your heater is unplugged from the outlet before
installing.
2. Your heater includes 4 brackets, fasteners and screws to be used to
mount your heater to the wall. There are 4 square fasteners pre-mounted
into the slot on the back
of the heater. Fasten two
brackets to the fasteners
pre-mounted in the slot.
We recommend the
brackets be positioned at
least 6" from each other.
Line up the fasteners to
the holes in the bracket
and screw the bracket to
the fasteners.
5. Screw the wall brackets to
the brackets on the heater,
using a nut to tighten.
Be sure to adjust the heater
angle before tightening the
screws so that the heat is
directed to the area being
heated.

3. For safety, the unit should be
mounted at least 6 ft above the

LIMITED WARRANTY
This unit is guaranteed to the original retail purchaser against
defects in quality or workmanship for a period of one year
from the date of original purchase. If this unit fails because
of a manufacturing defect within 30 days of purchase, return
the unit, with your receipt, to the retailer. After 30 days, but
within the warranty period, if the unit was purchased within the
continental United States, return it, freight prepaid, to World
and Main for repair or replacement. If the unit was purchased
outside the continental United States, return the unit to the place
of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage caused
by misuse, abuse, overheating or alteration. Repairs made
by anyone other than World and Main are not covered in this
warranty. World and Main will not be held liable for any losses
due to neglectful operation. All implied warranties, including
the warranties of merchantability and of tness of purpose, if
applicable, are hereby limited in duration to the period of one
year from the date of original retail purchase. Some states do
not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts,
so the above limitations may not apply to you. Incidental or
consequential damages arising from a breach of either express
or implied warranties are hereby disclaimed and excluded. Some
states do not allow the exclusion of limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not
apply to you. Upon the expiration of this warranty all such liability
will terminate. No other warranties are expressed or implied.
This warranty gives you specic legal rights, and you may also
have other rights which vary from state to state. No informal
dispute settlement mechanisms are available. This limited
warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Regular and careful cleaning and maintenance will help your
heater operate longer and more efciently.
CAUTION – Before cleaning or servicing the heater, be sure
to disconnect power cord and allow the heater to cool
completely.
Remove the wire grille using a screwdriver. Check the reector and
Infrared lament for dirt and dust once a month. If dirt or dust is present,
clean according to instructions.
CLEANING:
1. Remove the wire grille using a screwdriver.
2. The reector and lament should be cleaned with a soft cloth, a
smooth brush, cool or dry air. The cloth may be damp but not too
wet. Do not use chemical cleaning agents on the reector or infrared
lament.
3. Replace the wire grille.
Clean the OUTSIDE SURFACE with a clean damp cloth. Do not
use harsh chemical or abrasive cleaners. DO NOT IMMERSE
THE HEATER IN WATER. Allow heater to dry completely before
use. Any other service should be performed by a authorized
service representative.
Do not use harsh chemical (gasoline, benzene, paint thinner,
harsh cleaners, etc.) or abrasive cleaners as they will damage
the heater. NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS.
REPAIR: DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITHOUT THE
GRILLE IN PLACE. DO NOT USE THE HEATER IF IT HAS
MALFUNCTIONED OR BECOME DAMAGED IN ANY WAY.
Unplug the power cord. Inspect the wire grille, heater body,
power cord and plug periodically. In case of damage or defect,
consult an electrician.
WARNING: DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or
mechanical functions on this heater. The unit does not contain
any user serviceable parts. ANY MAINTENANCE OR REPAIRS -
INCLUDING REPLACING THE HEATING ELEMENT - SHOULD
BE CARRIED OUT BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN ONLY.
STORAGE: Keep original carton for storage of the heater.
Coil and tie the power cord to avoid damage during storage.
Store heater in a cool, dry place.
