General
The Uniprise Solutions®high-density foiled twisted pair (HFTP) modular panel is a highly flexible 24- or 48-port,
front or rear accessible patch panel assembly. The panel is available in a straight or angled version. When
properly grounded and installed with HFTP outlets, modular patch cords, and cables, it is an integral part of an
FTP connectivity system. The panel mounts in a standard 19-inch (483mm) equipment rack with universal hole
spacing and incorporates lugs for panel grounding.

Step 1 –Mount Panel to Rack

1. Mount panel to rack using the four 12-24 mounting screws provided. Flat panel is shown but angled
panel is similar.

Step 2 –Install Rear Cable Manager
1. Attach cable bar to panel as shown. For 48-port panels, two cable bars are provided.
Step 3 –Populate Panel with Outlets and Connect Ground
1. Connect cables to outlets per instructions provided with the individual outlets.
2. Populate panel with outlets and route cabling as shown above.
Note: Secure cables using the hook-and-loop straps provided.
3. For 24-port panels, use one of two grounding lug connections provided on rear of panel and hex nut
with lock washer to ground the panel per approved local practices. Tighten hex nut from 10 to 13 in-lbs
(1.1 to 1.5 Nm).

4. For 48-port panels, use two of the four grounding
lug connections provided on rear of panel and hex
nut with lock washer, as shown, to ground the panel
per approved local practices.
Tighten hex nut from 10 to 13 in-lbs (1.1 to 1.5 Nm).
Step 4 –Install Panel Labels
Label Label retainer area
1. Peel backing paper from a label and place in the label retainer area as shown.
2. Carefully apply one end of the label and work it onto the retainer surface.
3. Labels can be written on prior to being removed from the backing or after they have been applied to the
panel.

Step 5 –To Remove an Outlet from Panel
Locking tabs
Flat-blade
screwdriver
1. Insert a small, flat-blade screwdriver or other small, blunt-end tool in between locking tab and side of outlet
as shown to release it. Disengaging one tab will release outlet.
Note: Insertion of tool should release the tab, but if not, pivot tool slightly until tab releases. Locking tabs for
two outlets are adjacent to each other. Inserting a tool in space between tabs will not release either tab.
2. Remove outlet from rear of panel.
