12. This straightening iron is hot when in
use. Do not let eyes or bare skin touch
heated surfaces.
13. Do not place the heated straightener
directly on any surface or on the appliance
power cord while it is hot or plugged in.
14. Do not attempt to touch the housing of your
appliance near the straightening plates as it is
hot when in use.
15. Do not touch hot surfaces of the appliance.
Use the handles or knobs.
16. Do not use with a voltage converter.
17. Before plugging in, please read the
information about dual voltage in the OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS section of this booklet.
SAVE THESE
INSTRUCTIONS
2. Start with a hair section that is 2" wide
and no more than 1/2" thick. Open the iron
and place a hair section between the two hot
plates, close to the scalp. Trap hair between
the plates by firmly squeezing the handles
together. While maintaining the tension,
slowly pull the unit down along the hair sec-
tion toward the end of hair. For best results,
use a light styling product before blow-dry-
ing hair. At the end of hair section, release
the pressure on the handle and allow the hair
section to slide out. Repeat process on ad-
ditional sections of hair until you achieve the
hair style you desire. It may be necessary
to repeat process on certain areas, depend-
ing on the texture of your hair.
Some experience is necessary when learning
to use this straightening iron. After using iron
several times, you will learn the ideal way to
straighten and style your hair easily.
STYLING WITH THE NEW EASY-GLIDE
CERAMIC-COATED PLATES
The plates of your new straightening iron
have an easy-glide ceramic-coated sur-
face.
Hair glides easily over the surface of the plates
as you’re straightening. The ceramic-coated
surface also helps smooth down flyaways
and frizzies. As you smooth each strand, heat
is evenly distributed so that the style you
create has a salon-perfect, silky smooth,
shining finish. Hair slips right off the plates
after it’s straightened, and the ceramic
surface is easy to clean.
The ceramic technology is a pleasure to work
with because it makes styling your hair
easier and the results more professional.
OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This straightening iron appliance is intended
for household use. This unit is designed to
operate at 120/240 volts AC. Use on Alternat-
ing Current (50/60 hertz) only.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the out-
let, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.
DUAL VOLTAGE
This straightening iron will automatically
adjust to the proper voltage. Use an adapter
plug with correct configuration, prior to use
in outlet.
STRAIGHTENING BASICS
1. Plug the straightening iron cord into any
household outlet (120/240V). Slide the tem-
perature setting to ON position. The iron will
heat up very quickly. The power indicator
light will remain on when in operation. To
turn off, slide switch to OFF position (light
will go off). Never leave your straightening
iron on and unattended.
WARNING: The straightening iron’s
ceramic-coated plates will get very hot
within a few seconds and should not be
placed in contact with the skin after the
straightening iron has been turned on.
Hair should be clean and completely dried
before using any straightening iron.

17. Lea las instrucciones de uso para los aparatos

de conectar el aparato.
2. Divida el cabello limpio y seco en secciones
de 2 pulgadas de ancho por ½ pulgada de
espesura o menos. Nota: Para lograr resultados
óptimos, le aconsejamos que utilice un fijador
ligero antes de secar el cabello.
3. Coloque la plancha cerca del cuero cabelludo,
abra las placas y ponga una sección de cabello
entre ellas.
4. Cierre las placas y baje la plancha lentamente
hacia las puntas, manteniendo las placas bien
cerradas.
5. Abra las placas y afloje el pelo después de
llegar a las puntas. Repita estos pasos hasta
alcanzar el estilo deseado. Según la textura
de su cabello, puede ser necesario alisar cada
sección de cabello varias veces.
Será necesario experimentar un poco al
principio. Con práctica, encontrará la manera
perfecta para alisar su cabello fácil y
rápidamente.
TECNOLOGÍA CERÁMICA EASY GLIDE™
Las placas de su nueva plancha alaciadora
están revestidas de una capa de cerámica
llamada Easy-Glide™, lo último en tecnología
cerámica. La cerámica hace que el cabello
se deslice fácilmente entre las placas y ayuda
a eliminar los pelos sueltos y encrespados.
Las placas reparten el calor en forma pareja
a medida que alisa cada sección, lo cual logra
resultados profesionales y deja el cabello
suave, sedoso y brillante. Además, los residuos
de productos fijadores que a veces adhieren

DE USO
Este aparato fue diseñado para uso doméstico.
Úselo solamente con Corriente Alterna de
120/240V (50/60 hertz).
El cable de este aparato está dotado de una
clavija polarizada (un polo es más ancho que
otro). Como medida de seguridad, se podrá
enchufar de una sola manera en la toma de
corriente polarizada. Si no entra por completo,
inviértela. Si aún no entra completamente,
comuníquese con un electricista. No intente
vencer esta función de seguridad.
DOBLE VOLTAJE
Esta plancha alaciadora es bitensión. Se
adaptará automáticamente al voltaje adecuado.
Sin embargo, usted deberá conectar el cable
a un adaptador (no se incluye) antes de
enchufarlo en el tomacorriente.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL ALISADO
1. Conecte el aparato al tomacorriente y ponga
el botón de encendido/apagado en la posición
“ON”. El indicador luminoso se iluminará y
permanecerá encendido mientras el aparato
esté encendido. Para apagar el aparato, ponga
el botón de encendido/apagado en la posición
“OFF”. Nunca deje el aparato desatendido
mientras esté conectado.
ADVERTENCIA: Las placas calentarán en
segundos. No permite que hagan con-
tacto con la piel después de encender el
aparato.

INSTRUCCIONES DE
MANTENIMIENTO
Su aparato casi no necesita mantenimiento.
No necesita lubricación. Mantenga todas las
aberturas libres de polvo y pelusas. Cuando
sea necesario limpiarlo, desenchúfelo, permita
que enfríe y limpie la superficie exterior con
un paño limpio. Si ocurriera algo anormal,
desconecte el aparato, permita que enfríe y
mándelo a un Centro de Servicio autorizado
para que lo revisen y lo reparen. No intente
reparar el aparato.
PRECAUCIÓN
NUNCA jale, tuerza ni retuerza el cable
eléctrico. Nunca lo enrolle con fuerza alrededor
del aparato. Esto podría dañar la junta flexible
que lo conecta, produciendo su ruptura o
un cortocircuito. Inspeccione el cable con
frecuencia para asegurarse que no esté
dañado. Deje de usar el aparato inmediatamente
si el cable parece dañado, si el aparato deja
de funcionar o funciona de manera
intermitente.
ALMACENAJE
Cuando no lo utiliza, su aparato es fácil de
almacenar. Permita que enfríe y guárdelo en
un lugar seco y seguro, fuera del alcance de
los niños. No tironee ni retuerza el cable al
nivel del enchufe y no enrolle el cable alrededor
del aparato. Deje que el cable cuelgue o que

y recta.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your straightening iron is virtually mainte-
nance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep
all vents and openings clear of dirt and dust.
If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect
the unit from the power source, allow to cool,
and wipe exterior with a cloth. If any abnor-
mal condition occurs, unplug the unit, allow
it to cool, and return it for repair to an au-
thorized service representative only. No
repairs should be attempted by the con-
sumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the appliance. Dam-
age will occur at the high flex point of entry
into the appliance, causing it to rupture and
short circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for
damage. Stop use immediately if damage is
visible or if unit stops or operates intermit-
tently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to
store. Allow appliance to cool, then simply
store out of reach of children in a safe, dry
location. Do not jerk or strain cord at plug
connections. Do not wrap the line cord around
the appliance. Allow the cord to hang or lie
loose and straight at the point of entry into
the appliance.
