2. Hardware installation
1. Power the computer off, remove the power cable.
2. Remove the computer casing.
3. Remove the cover of a free 5.25 front of your computer.
Bundle all the cables including the bracket and slide them from to front
of the computer into the computer.
There are two ways to connect the USB cable from the CMULTIFP2 to
the computer.
1. Standard cables (connected to the front panel)
2. Onboard connection cable attached to the CMULTIFP2 and
mainboard
Option 1 (Default):
Using the standard cables, which are fastened to the front panel by
default. The other end of the USB cables should be connected to three
free USB ports at the back of the computer.
Option 2:
When using the onboard USB cable, then you have to remove the cable
connected at connector JP2 (ref. Picture 1). Then connect the onboard
cable to connector JP2 and the other end to a free onboard connector
on the main board of your computer.
If you are using the onboard USB connector, then connect the USB cable
to an onboard USB connector on you main board (picture 2).
