3 Allgemeines
Diese Leuchte ist zum Zeitpunkt seiner Entwicklung und Fertigung nach geltenden, anerkannten
Regeln der Technik gebaut und gilt als betriebssicher.
Es können jedoch von dieser Leuchte Gefahren ausgehen, wenn sie von nicht fachgerecht
ausgebildetem Personal, unsachgemäß oder nicht bestimmungsgemäß verwendet wird.
Beachten Sie die Normen und Vorschriften des VDE, der DIN sowie die nachfolgenden Si-
cherheitshinweise!
3.1 Sicherheitshinweise
Betreiben Sie die Leuchte bestimmungsgemäß in unbeschädigtem und einwandfreiem
Zustand!
Als Ersatz dürfen nur Originalteile von CEAG verwendet werden!
Bei Arbeiten an der Leuchte ist erst die Anlage zu blockieren, der Batteriekreis zu unter-
brechen und dann das Netz abzuschalten.
Anbei das Hinweisschild auf der Leuchte:
Kennzeichnen Sie die Leuchten: Stromkreis und Leuchtennummer zuordnen und
eintragen!
Die Protokollführung gemäß der nationalen Vorschriften ist durchzuführen
(entfällt bei automatischer Protokollierung)!
3.2 Normenkonformität
Die Leuchte ist konform mit: EN 60 598-1, EN 60 598-2-22 und DIN EN 1838.
Gemäß DIN EN ISO 9001 entwickelt, gefertigt und geprüft.

3.3 Inhalt der Montage- und Installationsanleitung
Jede Person, die damit beauftragt ist, Arbeiten an oder mit der Leuchte auszuführen, muss
die Betriebsanleitung vor Beginn der Arbeiten gelesen und verstanden haben.
3.4 Veränderungen und Umbauten
Zur Vermeidung von Gefährdungen und zur Sicherung der optimalen Leistung dürfen an dem
Gerät weder Veränderungen noch An- oder Umbauten vorgenommen werden, die durch den
Hersteller nicht ausdrücklich genehmigt worden sind.
3.5 Anforderungen an das Personal
An und mit dem Gerät darf nur autorisiertes und ausgebildetes Fachpersonal arbeiten. Als
Fachpersonal gilt, wer aufgrund seiner fachlichen Ausbildung, Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen
sowie Kenntnis der einschlägigen Bestimmungen die ihm übertragenden Arbeiten beurteilen
und mögliche Gefahren erkennen kann.
3.6 Arbeitssicherheit
Durch Befolgen der angegebenen Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen in dieser Betrieb-
sanleitung können Personen- und Sachschäden während der Arbeit mit und an dem Gerät
vermieden werden.

5 Aufbau und Funktion
Die Rettungszeichenleuchten 1903 LED CG-S ist für den Betrieb an CEAG Sicherheitsbe-
leuchtungsanlagen nach EN 50 172, DIN VDE 0100-718 und V DIN VDE 0108-100 geeignet.
Die besondere Schalt- und Überwachungsfunktion wird nur mit CEAG CG-S-Technologie
ermöglicht.

6 Transport, Verpackung und Lagerung
6.1 Sicherheitshinweise
Achtung! Sachschaden!
Die Leuchten können durch unsachgemäßen Transport beschädigt oder zerstört werden!
6.2 Transportinspektion
Lieferung bei Erhalt auf Vollständigkeit und Transportschäden prüfen. Bei äußerlich erkennbarem
Transportschaden Lieferung nicht oder nur unter Vorbehalt entgegen nehmen.
6.3 Verpackung
Wenn keine Rücknahmevereinbarung für die Verpackung getroffen wurde, Materialien nach Art
und Größe trennen und der weiteren Nutzung oder Wiederverwertung zuführen.
Achtung!
Entsorgung der Verpackungsmaterialien stets umweltgerecht und nach den geltenden
örtlichen Entsorgungsvorschriften vornehmen. Gegebenenfalls Recyclingunternehmen
beauftragen.
6.4 Lagerung
Packstücke bis zur Montage verschlossen und unter Beachtung der außen angebrach-
ten Aufstell- und Lagermarkierungen aufbewahren.
Packstücke nur unter folgenden Bedingungen lagern:
- Nicht im Freien aufbewahren
- Trocken und staubfrei lagern
7 Montage
7.1 Sicherheitshinweise
Beachten Sie die für das Errichten und Betreiben von elektrischen Betriebsmitteln
geltenden Sicherheitsvorschriften, das Gerätesicherheitsgesetz sowie die allgemein
anerkannten Regeln der Technik.
7.2 Montage / Installation
Mit einem geeigneten Schraubendreher die Schnapphaken
eindrücken und das Leuchtengehäuse nach unten abziehen.
LED-Leiste aus der Fassung nehmen, indem die seitlichen Bügel
mit den Fingern leicht auseinander gezogen werden. Die
Montageplatte an den 2 Befestigungslöchern mit geeigneten
Schrauben an der Wand / Decke montieren.

Leitungen einführen und das Netzkabel an den Klemmen L und
N am Modul anschließen.
Adresse am LED-Versorgungsmodul einstellen.
LED-Leiste an Klemme anschliessen (Bipolarer Anschluss der
LED‘s - auf eine Polung muss nicht geachtet werden - !).
Leuchtengehäuse von unten über die Leuchte schieben und an
den Schnapphaken einrasten lassen.
7.3 Überwachung
Zur Überwachung muss jede Leuchte individuell adressiert werden (s. Tabelle). Soll die
Leuchte nicht überwacht werden, ist an beiden Adressschaltern die Adresse „0“ einzustel-
len.
8 Wartung
Halten Sie die für Instandhaltung, Wartung und Prüfung von elektrischen Betriebsmitteln
geltenden Bestimmungen ein! Bei sachgerechtem Betrieb und unter Beachtung der
Montagehinweise und Umgebungsbedingungen ist keine ständige Wartung erforderlich.
Beachten Sie zum Leuchtmittelwechsel und zur Adressierung die entsprechenden
Angaben des Kapitels „Montage“.

3 General Information
The luminaire is designed and built in conformity with the latest technical rules at the time of
its development and production, so it is safe to operate.
Danger maybe presented by the luminaire, if it will be used for other than the intended purpose
and by unskilled personnel.
Please observe the standards and regulations of the VDE, the DIN as well as the following
safety notes!
3.1 Safety Notes
 The luminaire shall only be used for its intended purpose and in undamaged and
perfect condition!
Only genuine CEAG spare parts may be used for replacement and repair!
When working on the emergency luminaire first the system must be interrupted and
mains must be cut off!
Enclosed the label of the luminaire:
Carry out the marking of the emergency luminaire: Assign the circuit and the
luminaire no. and enter them!
Log book records shall be kept in compliance with the national regulations!
3.2 Conformity with standards
Conforming to: EN 60 598-1, EN 60 598-2-22 as well as DIN EN 1838. Designed, manufactured
and tested acc. to DIN EN ISO 9001.
3.3 Contens of operating instructions
Every person, ordered to work with the luminaire, has to read the instructions carefully to
understand them before work begins.
3.4 Changes and modifications
To avoid danger and to assure optimum performance, changes and modifications to the lumi-
naire are not allowed, except when the manufacturer has approved them.
3.5 Personnel requirements
Only authorised and skilled personnel are allowed to work on and with the luminaire. Skilled
personnel refers to those with expert training, with knowledge and experience as well as
knowledge of the relevant regulations. He should be able to evaluate his work and recognise
the presence of danger.

3.6 Operational Safety
Observing the stated safety instructions and regulations can avoid damage to property and
people when working with the luminaire.

5 Installation and function
The exit luminaires 1903 LED CG-S are suitable for operation on CEAG emergency lighting
systems acc. to EN 50 172, DIN VDE 0100-718 and V DIN VDE 0108-100 . The advanced
switching and monitoring mode is only available in combination with CEAG CG-S-technolo
gy.

6 Transport, Packaging and Storage
6.1 Safety Notes
Attention! Damage to property!
The luminaires will be destroyed or damaged by improper transport!
6.2 Transport inspection
Check delivery on receipt for completeness and for transport damages, immediately. If external
damage is detected do not accept the delivery, except under protest.
6.3 Packaging
If no return - agreement exists for packing material separate it according to type and size for
further use.
Attention!
Packing material has to be recycled in an environmentally friendly way and according to the
local provisions governing disposal. If necessary, commission special recycling company.
6.4 Storage
Keep packages closed up to mounting and observe the external arrangement and
storage notes. Store packages under the following conditions:
- not to be stored outside
- keep dry and dust-free
7 Mounting
7.1 Safety Notes
For the mounting and operation of electrical apparatus, the respective national safety
regulations as well as the general rules of engineering will have to be observed.
7.2 Installation
Press the snap hooks together by help of a suitable screw
driver and pull the cover of the luminaire down.
Remove LED-strip out of the corresponding holder by
uncompressing the holders with the fingers. Now fix the
mounting plate to the wall / ceiling at the two fixing holes with
suitable screws.

Introduce cables and connect the mains cable to the terminals
L and N of the module.
Set the addressing at the LED-supply-module.
Connect the LED-strip to terminals.
(Biipolar connection to LEDs - a polarity must not be observed -!)
Now pull the enclosure over the luminaire from below until the
snap hooks snap in.
7.3 Monitoring
For monitoring each luminaire must be addressed individually (s. table). If the luminaire shall
not be monitored address „0“ must be set at both adress switches.
8 Servicing
Observe the relevant national regulations which apply to the maintenance, servicing and
check of electrical apparatus. On condition of an appropriate operation and of observing
the mounting instructions and environmental conditions, no permanent servicing will be
required. For replacement of the lamp see chapter „Installation“.
9 Recycling
When a defective apparatus is disposed of, the respective national regulations on waste
disposal and recycling will have to be observed. Plastic parts have been provided with
respective symbols.
