Description
The EL-5835D is a battery powered wireless DT detector that includes an integrated camera
(EL-5835DC model) for visual verification and has been designed to provide enhanced 24-hour
outdoor protection, with Active IR Anti-mask capabilities. Integrated Dual Technology (DT)
combines two K-band microwave channels with two PIR sensors for better catch performance and pet
immunity, minimizing false alarm.

Installation
Step 1: Preliminary Considerations
Select the mounting location for best coverage of the area that is to be protected (see Step 2: Coverage
Patterns). Pay attention to the following:

Step 4: Registering/Deleting the Detector
Registration of the Detector in the System
The EL-5835 detector must identify itself to the panel’s receiver, as follows:
1. Set the system to registration mode.
a. Go to the main menu and select [9]>[1]>[1]
(Programming > Devices > Zones).
b. Select a zone and press '√'.
2. Open the detector housing.
3. Remove the battery from the detector, remove the battery’s plastic wrapping and then put back
the battery. When the LEDs stop blinking, the detector will send a transmission (Red LED is on).
If the transmission is successfully received by the system, it will play a confirmation sound. If no
confirmation sound is heard send another transmission by pressing and releasing the tamper
switch of the device.
4. As soon as 'Save?' appears press '√'; the Red LED flashes to indicate RSSI registration completion.
Quick Registration in the System (If Quick Registration is enabled)
1. At the control panel, press and hold for about 3 seconds (disregard the ENTER USER CODE
message) until QUICK REGISTR is displayed.
2. Open the detector housing.
3. Remove the battery from the detector, remove the battery’s plastic wrapping and then put back
the battery. The detector will send a transmission. If the transmission is successfully received by
the system it will play a confirmation sound. If no confirmation sound is heard, send another
transmission by pressing and releasing the tamper switch of the device.
4. As soon as 'Save?' appears press '√'.

Deleting a DT Detector from the System
To delete a DT detector from the system:
1. Set the system to Delete mode.
a. Go to the main menu and select [9]>[1]>[1]
(Programming > Devices > Zones).
b. Select a zone and press '√'.
2. Press >12>√.
3. Open the detector and take out the battery.
4. Close and hold the tamper switch.
5. Insert the battery (while the tamper is being pressed).
6. Wait for the the LEDs to stop blinking. Within 5 seconds, open the tamper and close it again.
Step 5: Mount the Detector on the Wall Bracket

Unscrew and separate detector from mounting bracket.

Open the 5 knockout holes of the wall bracket, and use as a template for mounting.

Secure the wall bracket to the wall using the 5 screws.

CAUTION! Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of
used batteries according to local regulations.
CAUTION! The detector batteries are supplied inside of the unit, which are covered
with plastic wrapping. Remove the plastic wrapping from the batteries before
installation.
Observing battery polarity, insert 3 CR123 3V Lithium batteries (supplied) into the
batteries compartment.

Performing a Walk Test

The detector automatically enters walk test mode for 10 minutes following tamper
closure. Walk through the entire protected area and observe the LEDs to confirm full
coverage (see LED Status).

Anti-Mask Calibration
Following tamper closure, the anti-mask calibration procedure begins (up to 2 minutes). For
successful calibration, make sure that there are no objects near the detector for the duration of the
procedure.

Image Upon Request
Snapshot images can be taken using web/smartphone apps
(on panels supporting these applications) or keypad.
To test the EL-5835DC detector via the keypad:
1. Enter the Grand Master code and set the iConnect 2-Way
panel to Test mode (Quick key 7>03>5).
2. If more than one zone is defined, select a defined zone
and press '√'
3. In the displayed: ⌧SNAPSHOTS, choose the number (1-9)
of snapshots to be taken and press '√' to transmit the
snapshots.

Descripción
El sistema EL-5835D es un detector inalámbrico DT alimentado con pilas que incluye una cámara
integrada (modelo EL-5835DC) para verificación visual. Ha sido diseñado para ofrecer protección
mejorada en exteriores 24 horas y también tiene funciones de antienmascaramiento IR activo. La
tecnología dual integrada (DT) combina dos canales de microondas de banda K con dos sensores PIR
para un mejor rendimiento de detección e inmunidad ante mascotas, reduciendo así al mínimo las
alarmas falsas.

Instalación
Paso 1: Consideraciones previas
Seleccione la ubicación de montaje que cubra mejor la zona que se va a proteger (consulte Paso 2:
Patrones de cobertura). Respete lo siguiente:

Paso 4: Registrar/eliminar el detector
Registro del detector en el sistema
El detector EL-5835 debe identificarse con el receptor del panel del modo siguiente:
1. Ajuste el sistema en modo de registro.
a. Acceda al menú principal y seleccione [9]>[1]>[1]
(Programación > Dispositivos > Zonas).
b. Seleccione una zona y pulse '√'.
2. Abra la caja del detector.
3. Saque las pilas del detector, retire la envoltura de plástico de las pilas y vuelva a colocarlas.
Cuando los LED dejen de parpadear, el detector enviará una transmisión (LED rojo encendido).
Si el sistema recibe la transmisión correctamente, reproducirá un sonido de confirmación. Si no se
oye ningún sonido de confirmación, envie otra transmisión pulsando y soltando el interruptor del
tamper del dispositivo.
4. En cuando aparezca '¿Guardar?', pulse '√'; el LED rojo parpadea para indicar la finalización del
registro RSSI.
Registro rápido en el sistema (si está habilitado el registro rápido)
1. En el panel de control, pulse y no suelte durante unos 3 segundos (no tenga en cuenta el
mensaje INTRODUZCA CÓDIGO DE USUARIO) hasta que se visualice REGISTRO RÁPIDO.
2. Abra la caja del detector.
3. Saque las pilas del detector, retire la envoltura de plástico de las pilas y vuelva a colocarlas. El
detector enviará una transmisión. Si el sistema recibe la transmisión correctamente, reproducirá
un sonido de confirmación. Si no se oye ningún sonido de confirmación, envíe otra transmisión
pulsando y soltando el interruptor del tamper del dispositivo.
4. En cuanto aparezca '¿Guardar?', pulse '√'.

Eliminación de un detector DT del sistema
Para eliminar un detector DT del sistema:
1. Ajuste el sistema en modo Eliminar.
a. Acceda al menú principal y seleccione [9]>[1]>[1]
(Programación > Dispositivos > Zonas).
b. Seleccione una zona y pulse '√'.
2. Pulse >12>√.
3. Abra el detector y saque las pilas.
4. Cierre y presione el interruptor del tamper.
5. Inserte las pilas (mientras presiona el tamper).
6. Espere a que los LED dejen de parpadear. Antes de que transcurran 5 segundos, abra el tamper y
ciérrelo de nuevo.
Paso 5: Montar el detector en el soporte de pared
