The AquaCare water dispense tap is available under PN 22-0108-521.
It can easily be retrofitted on towers and units against current postmix valves.
The assembly requires approx. 15 minutes time.
The power supply of the hygiene valve uses the same 24 Volt connection
plug as standard POM valves.
Attention ! The valve is only to be operated with water. An operation with Premix product does not
allow a proper function of the UVC lamp.
The valve is equipped with a special quartz glass dispense tube, which is very sensitive to
glass breakage. Please handle the glass tube always with the required caution !
UVC light is dangerous to skin and eyes ! Do not work on operating lamps !
Function :
The UVC lamp in the nozzle avoids the risk that bacteria is able to contaminate the dispense system by
retrograde bacteria growth. For this, the UVC-lamp needs to be illuminated 24 hrs per day.
The electronics (positioned above the solenoids) controls the lamp function and its lifetime of 8.700
hrs..(~1 year). A defect lamp or the end of lifetime will be indicated by a red blinking LED near the push
buttons of the valve
- in case of lamp failure -> blinking + after 1 week automatic blockage of water dispense
- in case of end-of-life situation -> blinking + after 3 weeks blockage of water.
on top of the electronic board (behind the push button panel) you will find a reset
button, which can be used to reset the LED lamp indication after the lamp has
been exchanged.
The touch protection at the bottom of the valve (made of stainless steel) protects
against any direct contact by e.g. fingers, glasses or bottles. The protection is fixed
by a bayonet connection, thus allowing easy removal and cleaning
(proposed interval approx. once per week)
After 1 year the UVC lamp (PN 22-0108-560) must be replaced with a new one.
The lamp has lost after this time a major part of its power, and a proper
functionality cannot be guaranteed after this 1 year time.
Assembly procedure :
1. Remove the existing postmix valve incl. the valve block. Metal fittings on the end of the tubing can
also be removed, as the hygiene valve has a John-Guest connection for 8mm - 5/16“tubing build in.
2. Remove the cover of the hygiene valve and assemble the valve on the tower / dispenser, using the 4
screws which are delivered with the valve. (ensure that the valve block is disassembled first).
The hole pattern of the postmix valve can be used, as it is identical with the hygiene valve.
3. Insert the water feeding tube into the JG fitting of the valve and secure it with the red JG safety clip.
4. Connect the 24 volt power supply from the old postmix valve with the power plug of the hygiene
valve. Make sure that the UVC lamp ignites (can be seen as a blue light in the exit of the nozzle.
The hygiene valve is now ready for operation.
