power inlet of the power supply module being
replaced.
2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, loosen the two
thumb screws.
3. Remove the power supply module from the slot
by gently pulling the handle.
4. Insert the replacement power supply module into
the slot until it is fully seated.
5. Tighten the two thumb screws.
6. Connect the power cord to the power inlet of the
power supply module.
Description
Three DM-PSUA-PWS power supply modules occupy
the DM-PSU-3X8-RPS. This document provides
instructions for replacing a failed power supply module.
Power Supply Module Replacement
CAUTION: Before removing a power supply module
from a power supply slot, it is recommended that
ac power be removed from the power supply module
to prevent damage to the DM-PSU-3X8-RPS.
CAUTION: The power supply modules are static
sensitive. Standard electrostatic discharge
precautions should be followed when handling the
modules.
NOTE: Although the DM-PSU-3X8-RPS continues to
operate if a single power supply module fails, it is
recommended that the failed power supply module be
replaced as soon as possible to restore power supply
module redundancy.
NOTE: The power supply modules are hot
swappable; therefore, a failed power supply module
can be replaced without removing power from the
other power supply modules in the
DM-PSU-3X8-RPS.
