WERECOMMEND the useofaVOLT/OHMMETERtotestand verifywiring circuits.Testlightsorilluminated

DONOTexceedmaximumoutputratings.
WERECOMMEND thattheMAINSYSTEMFUSE beREMOVEDbeforejumpstarting,using abattery
charger,orchanging the battery.Avoltage surge orhigh boostcondition coulddamage alarm circuits.
DONOTROUTEANYWIRINGTHATMAYBECOMEENTANGLEDwithbrake,and gaspedals,steering
column,oranyothermoving partsinthe vehicle.

CONTROLMODULE&COMPONENTMOUNTING
DONOTMountthecontrolmoduleintheenginecompartmentorwherethewiring harness can
becomeentangledwithmoving partssuchas brake/gas/clutchpedals,orthesteering column!The
alarm controlmoduleshouldbe mounted inaconcealed location.The Placementofthe modulewill affectthe
distancefromwhichthe remotetransmittercan controlthe unit. The antenna wireshouldbe routed awayfrom
anymetalifpossible.Donotalterthe lengthofthe antenna wireorrouteitwithotherwires.Donotground
the antenna wire.Fasten the moduletoabracketorwireharness using the cabletiesprovided.Underdash
Mounting:If you arelocating the controlunitunderdash,mountitashigh aspossible,noteasilylocated byan
intruder.Driver’sSide Underdashmounting providesan easy location forwiring mostofthe system’s
connections,howeverthisisacommon location foran intrudertocheck foran alarm afterbreaking intothe
vehicle.
SIREN:Mountthe siren underthe hood toan innerfender-well,wheel-well,orotherbodysurfacewiththe
open end facing downward.Run the red siren wirethrough the firewall using arubbergrommet. Ground the
sirensblack wiretometalnearthe siren oryou can useone ofthe siren’smounting screwsforaground.
LED:Mountthe blue LEDinavisiblelocation on the dashboardorconsole.
Shock Sensor:Mountthe included shock sensorwithwiretiestoan underdashwireharness orfasten with
screwstofirewall orside paneling.Usethe adjustmentknob tosetthe sensitivityofthe sensor.The
adjustmentknob adjustsbothPre-Warnand alarm trigger.
Valet/Programming Button:Mountthe Valet/Override/Programpush-button inahidden butaccessible
location.It isREQUIREDforemergency disarm,programming featuresand entering orexiting ValetMode.
WIRING
GREENWIRE:(-) NEGATIVE DOORTRIGGER
Identifythe wirethatreadsground when anydoorisopen and 12 voltswhen all doorsareclosed.Some
vehiclesmayhaveisolated doortriggers.Inthiscaseyou mayneed torun additionalwiresfromotherdoors
orgo directlytothe wirethattriggersthe vehicle’sinteriordomelight. Sometimesnewervehiclescontaina
separatebodycontrolmodule(BCM) wherethe doortriggercircuitcan be located.One vehiclewill not
requirethe useofBOTHNegativeand Positivedoortriggerwires.
VIOLETWIRE:(+)POSITIVE DOORTRIGGER
Sameasthe GREENwireaboveexceptthiswireisused forvehiclesthatshowapositivevoltage (12 volts)
when the doorisopen and aground when doorsareclosed asinmanyFord,Lincoln,and Mercuryvehicles.

BLACK WIRE:SYSTEMCHASSISGROUND
The Black wireMUSTbe connected tothe CHASSISMETALofthe vehicle.Scrape awayanypaintordebris
fromthe connection pointand useastarwashertoensureagood connection.Keep the ground wireshort.
YELLOWWIRE:IGNITIONSWITCHED“ON”AND “START”+12 VOLTS
Connecttoan IGNITIONwire(orfuseinthe fusebox)thatshows+12 Voltswhen the keyisinboth“On”and
“Start”(WHENCRANKING)positions.
GRAYWIRE:(-) NEGATIVE AUXREMOTEOUTPUT1(Optional, may requirearelay)
Connecttothe Negativetrunkreleasecircuitortothe activation circuitofan auxiliarymoduleordevice.If the
circuitrequires+12V,then arelayisrequired.RELAY WIRING: Connectthe Graywiretoterminal85,connect
relayterminals86 and 87 to+12Vconstantpower.Connectterminal30 ofthe relaytothe +12Vpositive
device/circuittobe activated.
BLUEWIRE:(-) NEGATIVE HOOD/TRUNK TRIGGER(Optional)
Inputtriggerforagrounding hood ortrunkpinswitch.Connecttoexisting hood and trunkpinswitchesthat
read ground when open.If no existing switchesareavailable,install newpinswitchesifdesired.Note:DO
NOTmountnewpinswitchesinwaterpathways.
BLACK/WHITEWIRE:(-) NEGATIVE DOMELIGHTILLUMINATIONOUTPUT(Optional, requires arelay)
Thiswireprovidesa(-) negativeground when the systemisdisarmed toactivateavehiclesdomelightcircuit.
Werecommend the useofarelayforthisconnection.ConnectBlack/Whitetoterminal#85 ofrelay.Connect
terminal#86 tofused constant+12V.Connectterminal#87 toa+12Vconstantorground sourcedepending
on the type ofdomelightcircuitinthe vehicle.ConnectTerminal#30 tothe domelightcircuitinthe vehicle.
BROWN/WHITEWIRE:(-) NEGATIVE HORN PULSE /CHIRPOUTPUT(Optional, may requirearelay)
Connecttothe NegativeHornTriggerwireusuallylocated nearthe steering column.If the vehiclehorncircuit
requires+12V,then arelayisrequired.
ORANGEWIRE:(-) NEGATIVE ARMEDOUTPUT(500mAGround,Optional)
ThiswirebecomesaconstantGround outputwhen systemisarmed.Thisoutputcan be used toactivate
optionaldevicessuchasextrasensors,LED’s,windowroll-up modules,voicemodulesetc.

1.HORN CHIRPS /PULSES
Thisoption controlsthe system’sFactoryVehicleHornoutput. Thereare3selections:Button 1(Lock)=Horn
Pulseonlywhen alarm istripped.Button 2(Unlock)=HornChirpsforArm /Disarm and Pulsewhen tripped.
Button 3(Trunk)=HornChirpsforArm,Disarm,and Pre-warning protection.All settingsprovide hornpulses
when triggered.
2.PASSIVE ARMING/CHIRPCOUNTDOWN
Thisoption controlsthe Passive(Automatic)Arming feature.If ON,arming will occur30 Secondsafterthe
ignition isturned off and the lastdoorhasbeen closed.The LEDwill beginflashing rapidlywhilecounting
down.If adoorisreopened,the systemwill wait(LEDOFF)forthe doororzone toclosebeforearming.The
unitwill chirponceand flashthe lightsonce.Doorswill lock ifpassivelocking isselected.Factorydefault
setting isOFF.If PassiveChirpcountdownisselected,the Systemwill produceasiren chirpevery2seconds
during countdownuntil the systemarms.
3.PASSIVE LOCKS/CUSTOMOVERRRIDE(ALSOSEE CUSTOMOVERRIDESECTION,PAGE13)
PASSIVE LOCKS:Thisoption controlswhetherthe doorswill lock when PassiveArming occurs.Note:May
increasethe risk oflocking keys inthe vehicle.When selected ONthe alarm will passivelylock the doorswhen
passivearming.
4.IGNITION-CONTROLLEDLOCKS
Thisoption controlswhetherthe locks arecontrolled byIgnition.Thereare3selections:Button 1(Lock)=
Lock/Unlock withvehicleIgnition.Button 2(Unlock)=Noignition locks.Button 3(Trunk)=Ignition lock only.
Doorswill notlock iftheyareopen topreventlocking the keys in.
5.DOOROPENWARNING(5or60 Seconds)
Thissetting changesthe delaytimeinwhichthe alarm systembeginstomonitorthe Doorcircuit. Thisoption
can preventthe alarm fromgiving warning chirpson vehicleswithadelayed domelight.

6.ACTIVE RE-ARMING
ActiveRe-arming allowsthe systemtore-arm itself30 secondsafterdisarmed withthe transmitterifadoor
hasnotbeen opened.Thisishandyifthe vehicleisaccidentallydisarmed (viathe Transmitterinyourpocket)
withoutyou knowing it. Note:Activere-arm isresetbydomelightillumination.If you areusing domelight
illumination,activere-arm will notfunction.
7.DOUBLEUNLOCK PULSE
Withthisfeatureenabled,the unitwill send 2unlock pulseswhen the #2 Unlock button ispressed.2pulses
arerequired forinterfacing intosomeexisting FactoryKeyless EntryorAlarm systemson vehiclessuchas
Nissan,VW,Toyota,and Lexusvehicles.
8.SILENTARMING/DISARMING(CHIRPDEFEAT)
Withthisfeature,the systemcan be Arm and Disarm withoutthe siren chirpusing button #1 &#2.Flashing
parking lightswill be the onlyArm/Disarm confirmation.
9.PARKINGLIGHTSONWITHDISARM
Keepsparking lightson instead of2flasheswhen systemisdisarmed toassistinlocating yourvehicleina
crowded parking lotorstructure.Lightwill stayon for30 Sec.oruntil Ignition isturned on.
10.DISARMWITHAUX.OUTPUT1(TRUNK POP)
Controlswhetherthe systemwill orwill notDISARMwhen the trunkpop orAUX.featureisused.When the
featureisturned on the unitwill DISARMwhen opening trunkorusing an auxiliarydevicecontrolled bythe
Grayoutputwire.

12.DOORLOCK/UNLOCK PULSE TIME
Controlsthe amountoftime(0.75 sec.or3sec.)forthe lock/unlock pulse.The 3sec.setting maybe required
for1980’/90’sEuropean Vehiclesthatrequirealong pulsetodo Vacuumdoorlock systems.
13.ACTIVE,PASSIVE,orFULL-TIMECARJACK PROTECTION
Thisfeaturecontrolsthe type ofCarjack protection the alarm will provide.Thereare3selections:Button 1
(Lock)=Activeprotection.Button 2(Unlock)=Passiveprotection.Button 3(Trunk)=Full-Timeprotection.
Option number14 mustbe enabled toallowCarjack functionstooperate.See Carjack Protection features.

Thisoption controlsthe unit’sCarJack features.EnableorDisableCarjack (TurnONorOFF)withthisoption.
15.Lock/Unlock orArm/Disarm withIgnition ON
Thisoption allowsyou Arm and Disarm the systemwiththe Ignition ON.Thisisused when thereisaremote
starteradded tothe system.The defaultislock/unlock withoutarm and disarm whilethe ignition on.
16.DataPortProtocol:
Thisoption controlsthe DataPortProtocolfor1-Way(OFAmodules)or2-Way(SLmodules).The defaultis
setfor2-WayProtocol.Thisoption hasno effecton conventionalwiring ofBypass modules.
CUSTOMPERSONALOVERRIDECODE
Customoverride allowsthe usertosetaspecificnumberofbutton presses(2-15)required toperform an
emergency override/disarm ofthe alarm system.Thisincreasesthe levelofsecurityofthe system,butyou
MUSTMEMORIZEhowmanybutton pressesyou havechanged yoursystemtouseorthe unitwill notdisarm
inan emergency.
1.Enterprogramming mode.(See step #1 on page 9)
2.Press programbutton three timestogo tooption #3 “PassiveLocks/CustomOverride”.
3.Press bothButtons(1+2)on the remotetransmitter(3chirps).
4.Press and releasethe programagainthe numberoftimesyou desireinordertoperform emergency disarm
on thisalarm system.Press the programbutton 2-15 timesonly.You need towaitforthe siren tochirpthe

ACTIVE ARMING
Toarm the alarm and lock the doors,press the #1 (Lock Symbol)button on the transmitter.You will heara
singlesiren chirpand the lightswill flashonce.The systemwill arm,the doorswill lock and the starterwill be
disabled iftheseoptionalfeaturesareinstalled.The red LEDinthe vehiclewill startflashing after5seconds.
Afterashortdelaytoallowvehicleand electronics tostabilizethe systemwill be completelyarmed.
ALARMTRIGGERING
If thereisan intrusion intothe vehicleorhardimpacttothe bodywill sound the alarm and flashthe lightsfor
45 seconds.After45 secondsthe systemwill automaticallyshutoff and re-arm tocontinue toprotectthe
vehicle.If adoorisleft open,the unitwill cycleasecond timeand still continue toprotectthe otherun-
tampered zones.
DISARMING
Press the #2 (Unlock)button on the transmittertodisarm the alarm.You will hear2siren chirpsand the lights

open the doorwiththe key,whichwill activatethe alarm.Turnthe ignition on and press the override/program
button forabout5seconds(until siren stops).The Alarm will disarm.If you continue toholdthe button for
additional7seconds,the systemwill enterthe Valetmode.
EMERGENCYDISARMWITHCUSTOMOVERRIDE
If you haveprogrammed yoursystemforCustomOverride,followthe samestepsabove(Emergency
Override)whilepressing the valetbutton 2-15 timesasyou haveprogrammed.You mustcontinue toholdthe
button downon the lastpress for5seconds.The Alarm will disarm and enterthe Valetmode,whichallows
you tousethe vehicleuntil you can repair/replacethe remotetransmitterorhavethe alarm systemchecked.
VALETMODE
Todisablethe Alarm systemforvehicleserviceorotherwise,turnthe ignition on and press the
override/programbutton 4-5secondsuntil the dashLEDturnson solidand you hear(1)siren chirp.Repeat
the process toexitVALETmode and the systemwill chirp(2)timesand the LEDwill turnoff. Lock/Unlock and
AUXfeatureswill still operateinwhen inVALETmode.When performing an Emergency Override and you
holddownthe override button,the systemisalsoplaced intoValetmode.See Emergency Override section
on previouspage.
PASSIVE ARMING/PASSIVE LOCK MODES /PASSIVE CHIRPCOUNTDOWN
If programmed,passive(Automatic)Arming will occur30 Secondsafterthe ignition isturned off and the last
doorhasbeen closed.The LEDwill beginflashing rapidlywhilecounting down.If adoororhood is
reopened,the systemwill wait(LEDoff)forthe doororzone toclosebeforearming.The unitwill flashthe
lightsonce.Doorswill lock ifpassivelocking isselected.Mayqualifyforinsurancediscounts-check withyour
agentorproprietor.When the Unitisprogrammed forPassiveChirpCountdown,the siren will chirpduring
passivecountdown,asan audiblewarning thatarming will occur.Thissiren will emitachirpevery2seconds
assoon asthe lastdoorisclosed until the systemarms30 secondslater.

Thisfeatureturnson the vehiclesdomelightupon disarm for30 secondsoruntil the keyisinserted and
turned on.Thiswill provide illuminated entrytoyourvehicleatnightorindimlylitareasforadded safetyand
security.Notethatdomelightillumination will deactivatethe activerearm featureifprogrammed foractive
rearm.
OPENZONEALERT/BYPASS
If the systemdetectsafaultyoropen zone (Doorleft open)when the systemisACTIVELYARMED,the siren
will chirp5timesalong with5lightflashes.The faultyzone will be automaticallybypassed.
IGNITION-CONTROLLEDDOORLOCKS
The doorswill automaticallylock when the ignition isturned on and will unlock when the ignition isturned off.
Thisfeaturecan be programmed on,off, ortolock the doorsonly.Doorswill notlock iftheyareopen to
preventlocking the keys in.
ACTIVE RE-ARMING(FAIL-SAFEPROTECTION)
ActiveRe-arming meansthatthe systemwill re-arm itself30 secondsafterdisarmed withthe transmitterifadoorhas
notyetbeen opened.Thisishandyifthe vehicleisaccidentallydisarmed (viathe transmitterinyourpocket)without
you knowing it. Thisfeaturecan alsobe turned off inprogramming option (6).Activerearm featureisdisabled ifyou
