1-WAY-SIDEKICK REMOTE:
The 1-Waysidekickremoteaddsflexibilitytoyoursystem.Youcanhavetheconvenienceofoperatingyour
systemwithoutneedingtocarrythelarger pager remote.The Sidekickremotehasless range and offersall of
the sameoperation featuresexceptforpage-backconfirmation.The 1-WaySidekickRemoteusestwoCR-
2016Lithium3VoltBatteries.
2-WAY-PAGER/ REMOTETRANSCEIVER:
The 2-Wayhand-heldremotetransceiver isusedtosendandreceiveinformationfromthe vehicle.The
ControlModuletransmitsHighFrequencyFMsignalsfromthevehicletoyourpager overlong distances.Your
range will varydependingonlocation,terrain,andlocalRFnoise/interference.Thissystemisnotguaranteed
topageyouifyouarebehindconcretewalls,underground,inalargestructure,orinanareawithhigh levels
ofelectronicinterference.Handlethe pager/remotewithcare.The LCD displayand/orthe electronics maybe
damaged ifsubjectedtoabuse.TheAAA Cell 1.5Valkalinebatterycaneasilybe replaced bysliding openthe
batteryaccess dooronthebackofthe remote.Batterylifewill varydepending onusage.TheLCD screen
will displayalowbatteryiconwhenthebatteryislow.
SETTINGTHECLOCK (2-WAY- LCD REMOTE)
1.Press VEH Button on thesideoftheremotecontrol5times.
2.The remotewill beepandthe AMorPM displaywill beginflashing.
3.Press the Trunk Buttontogotothenextitem –AM-PM-Hour-Minutes.
4.Press the Lock Buttonto increase time.
5.Press the Unlock Buttonto decrease time.
6.Press the SLT Buttonto DisableorEnableBeep.
7.Press the VEH Buttonto ExitSetup orwait 7seconds, the LCD light will turn off.

OPERATIONINSTRUCTIONS
ARMING
Toarmthealarmandlockthedoors,presstheLockbuttononthetransmitter.Youwillhearasinglesiren
chirp and thelightswill flashonce.Thesystemwill arm,the doorswill lockand the starter will be disabled if
theseoptionalfeaturesare installed.The red LEDinthe vehiclewill startflashing after 5seconds.After a
short delaytoallowvehicleandelectronics tostabilizethesystemwill be completelyarmed.
DISARMING
Press the Unlockbuttononthetransmitter todisarmthe alarm.You will hear 2sirenchirpsandthe lightswill
flashtwice.TheLEDstopsflashing.Doorwill unlockanddomelightwillturn on iftheoptionsareinstalled.
SELECTIVE SILENTARM/DISARMTHROUGHREMOTECONTROL
Thissystemcanbearmed anddisarmed withoutsiren chirpson an “asneeded”basis.Pressand release
Button#4for arm/disarmwithout sirenchirps.
PROGRAMMABLESILENTARM/ DISARMMODE(CHIRPDEFEAT)
The systemcan besilentlyarmedanddisarmedasnormalwithLock/UnlockButtons,butnosirenchirp.See
alarmprogramming option(#8)toenableordisablethisfeature.
PASSIVE ARMING / PASSIVE LOCKMODES / PASSIVE CHIRPCOUNTDOWN
Ifprogrammed,passive(Automatic)Arming will occur 30Secondsafterthe ignitionisturnedoff andthelast
doorhasbeen closed.TheLEDwillbeginflashingrapidlywhilecountingdown.Ifadoor or hood is
reopened,thesystemwill wait(LEDoff)forthedoororzonetoclosebeforearming.Theunitwill flashthe
lightsonce.Doorswilllockifpassivelocking isselected.Mayqualifyforinsurancediscounts-checkwithyour
agentor proprietor.When theUnitisprogrammed forPassiveChirpCountdown,thesirenwill chirpduring
passivecountdown,asan audiblewarning thatarmingwill occur.Thissirenwill emitachirpevery2seconds
assoon asthelastdoor iscloseduntil the systemarms30secondslater.
REMOTEPANICPROTECTION
Tosoundthealarmuponcommand(panic),press andholdtheButton#1 (Panic)foratleast2secondsuntil
the sirensounds.Press Button#2(Unlock)toresetpanicmode.

OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS
ARM/ DISARMWITHIGNITIONON(PROGRAMOPTION#15)
Thisfeatureallowsthe systemtobearmed ordisarmedwhiletheignitionisintheONpositionorvehicleis
running.Thefeatureisdisabled bydefaultandshouldnotbe usedunder normaloperatingconditions. Onan
installationwithanadd-onremotestart module,thisoptioncan be enabled toallowthe systemtobe armedor
disarmedwhenthe vehiclehasbeen remotestarted (Ignitionwill beON).Notethatyoucannotusethis
featureifyou arealsousingthe Full-timecarjackprotection.If youaddaremotestartandthe Ignitionturns
on,aCarjacktrigger willbeactivated.
ACTIVE RE-ARMING(FAIL-SAFEPROTECTION)
ActiveRe-armingmeansthatthesystem will re-armitself30secondsafterdisarmedwiththetransmitter ifa
doorhasnotyetbeen opened.Thisishandyifthe vehicleisaccidentallydisarmed (viathe transmitter inyour
pocket)withoutyouknowingit.Thisfeaturecanalsobeturnedoffinprogramming option(6).Activerearm
featureisdisabledifyoualsohavedomelight illumination installed.
IGNITION-CONTROLLEDDOORLOCKS
The doorswill automaticallylockwhen the ignitionisturned onand will unlock whentheignition isturnedoff.
Thisfeaturecanbeprogrammed on,off, ortolockthe doorsonly.Doorswill notlock iftheyare open to
prevent locking thekeys in.
TRUNK / HATCH POP(REMOTEAUX. OUTPUT1,OPTIONAL)
Topop the trunk,press and releasetheTrunkbutton onthetransmitter. If thesystemisarmed,itmayor may
nottripthealarmsystemwhenopeningthe trunkdependingon programmingoption (10).See programming
optionchart for more details.
2nd AUX. OUTPUT(REMOTEAUX.OUTPUT2)
To activate the Second auxiliary output Press andhold theSilent Button for 3 seconds to activate AUX. channel#2.
DOMELIGHTILLUMINATION(OPTIONAL)
Thisfeature turnson thevehiclesdomelightupondisarmfor 30secondsor until the keyisinserted and
turned on.Thiswill provideilluminated entrytoyour vehicleatnightor indimlylitareasforadded safetyand
security.Notethatdomelightilluminationwill deactivatetheactiverearmfeatureifprogrammed for active
rearm.

EMERGENCYOVERRIDE/ DISARM
Ifyou havelostthetransmitter or itstopsworking for anyreason andtheAlarmisarmed,youwill haveto
openthedoor withthe key,whichwill activatethe alarm.Turntheignition onand press theoverride/program
button forabout5seconds(until sirenstops).The Alarmwill disarm.Ifyou continue toholdthebuttonfor
additional7seconds, the systemwill entertheValet mode.
EMERGENCYDISARMWITHCUSTOMOVERRIDE
Customoverrideallowstheuser tosetaspecificnumber ofbutton presses(2-15)requiredtoperforman
emergencyoverride/disarmofthealarm system. Thisincreasesthelevelofsecurityof thesystem,but you
MUSTMEMORIZEhowmanybutton pressesyouhavechangedyoursystemtouseor the unit will notdisarm
inanemergency.
1.Enterprogramming mode.
2.Turn the IgnitionONandpresstheOverride/Programbutton5times.
3.After ashortdelay,theparking lightswill flash5times,Siren 5times,Horn5timesand statusLEDwill be
on solid.
4.Press programbuttonthree timestogotooption #3 “PassiveLocks/CustomOverride”.
5.Press Button 3(trunk) ontheremotetransmitter(3chirps).
6.Press andreleasetheprogramagainthe numberof timesyoudesireinordertoperformemergencydisarm
on thisalarmsystem. Presstheprogram button 2-15timesonly. You need towait for the sirentochirpthe
samenumberoftimesyoupressedtheprogrambuttontoconfirm.
Totestfeature:Tripthealarmsystem,turnkeyON,press theprogram/valetbutton2-15timesas
programmed abovethencontinue toHOLDDOWNvalet buttonontheLASTPRESS for 5seconds.Alarm
shoulddisarm.If systemdoesnotdisarm, thendisarmwiththeremotetransmitter andtryagain. If system
still doesnotdisarmoryouhaveforgotten yourcustomcode, thenyoumustuseyour remotecontroltodisarm
the system.
CAUTIONARYNOTE!
If youset upthisfeatureand forget yourspecialcode, there isnowaytodisarm the systemother thanthe
remotecontrol.If youhaveprogrammedyour systemfor CustomOverride,followthesamestepsabove
(EmergencyOverride)whilepressingthe valetbutton2-15timesasyouhaveprogrammed. You must
continuetoholdthe buttondownon thelastpress for 5seconds.The Alarmwill disarmandenterthe Valet
mode,whichallowsyoutousethevehicleuntil youcan repair/replacetheremotetransmitterorhavethe
alarmsystemchecked.

VALETMODE(SolidLED)
Todisablethe Alarmsystemforvehicleserviceor otherwise,turntheignitiononandpressthe
override/programbutton4-5secondsuntil thedashLEDturnsonsolidandyou hear(1) sirenchirp.Repeat
the process toexit VALETmodeandthesystemwill chirp(2)timesandthe LEDwill turnoff. Lock/Unlockand
AUXfeatureswill still operateinwheninVALETmode.When performing anEmergencyOverrideand you
holddownthe override button, the systemisalsoplacedintoValet mode.
PRE-WARNINGSHOCK PROTECTION&SENSORADJUSTMENT
Ifalow-levelshocktothevehicleisdetected,pre-warningprotectionwillactivatesounding5quicksiren chirps
and1lightflash.If ahard impactisdetected the shocksensor shouldtripthealarmsystem.Onceitis
mounted,adjustthesensorasneededbyturningtheadjustmentscrewsclockwisetoincreaseorcounter-
clockwisetodecreasethesensitivity.The sensor isalsoequipped with2small indicator lightstoeasethe
adjustmentprocess. Blue light=Pre-warning disturbance(5sirenchirps). Redlight =Afull alarmtrip.
ALARMTRIGGERING
Ifthereisan intrusion intothe vehicleor hard impacttothe bodywill soundthe alarmand flashthelightsfor
45 seconds.After45secondsthesystemwill automaticallyshutoff andre-armtocontinuetoprotectthe
vehicle.If adoorisleftopen,the unitwill cycleasecondtime and still continuetoprotecttheotherun-
tamperedzones.
PRIORINTRUSIONALERT
Ifthesystemwastrippedinyourabsence,thedashLEDwillbeflashing rapidly.When thesystemis
disarmedyouwill hear 3chirps(and 3lightflashes).Carefullyinspectyourvehicletosee ifthere isany
damageoratheft hasoccurred.
OPENZONEALERT/BYPASS
Ifthesystemdetectsafaultyoropenzone(Doorleftopen)whenthesystemisACTIVELYARMED,thesiren
will chirp5timesalongwith5lightflashes. Thefaultyzone will be automaticallybypassed.

CARJACKPROTECTION
ACTIVE CARJACK
Thisfeature provides Active Carjack protectionandmust be enabled before use throughAlarm programmingoption
(14) See page 10. WhentheIgnitionis on (vehicleis running), pressand hold button #3 (AUX)for 3 seconds. Parking
lights will flashTWICE to confirm theCarjack countdownsequence. LED beginsto flashslowly. 90 Seconds later, the
unitwillbeginaCarjackCycleconsistingof 20 seconds of pre-warningchirps turning into afullsystem activationwith
siren/flashinglightpulses for upto 5min.To reset Active Carjack, IGNITION MUST BE ON, thenpress Button#2.
Siren/Hornchirp, LED goes OFF, carjack is reset.
PASSIVE CARJACK
Thisfeature provides Passive Carjack protectionandmust be enabled before use throughAlarm programmingoptions
(13) &(14).Seepage10. Werecommendthismode shouldonlybe used inserioussituations.WhentheIgnitionis
on(vehicleisrunning), andadoor isopened and closed, theCarjack countdownsequence will be initiated (lights flash
twice &LED beginsto flash). 90 Secondslater, theunitwillbeginaCarjack Cycle consistingof 20 seconds of pre-
warningchirps turninginto afull system activationwithsiren/flashinglightpulses for upto 5min.To reset Passive
Carjack, Ignitionmust be ON, doors mustbe closed, thenpress theoverride/program button(3) times. Sirenchirps
once,LED goes out, carjack isreset. NOTE: Active carjack canstillbe used whenthePassive Type carjack is
activated.
FULL-TIMECARJACK
ONLYUSE THISMODEWHENTHEREISAN EXTREMETREATOFACARJACK WITHYOUR VEHICLE.
Full-timeCarjackprotectionmustbe enabledbeforeusethroughAlarmprogramming options(13) &(14).See
page10.EVERYTIMEtheIgnition isturnedONoradoor isopenedandclosedwiththe Ignition ON,a
Carjackcountdownsequencewill beinitiated.90 Secondslater,the unitwill beginaCarjackCycleconsisting
of20secondsofpre-warning chirpsturningintoafull systemactivationwithsiren/flashinglightpulsesfor up
to5min.You mustresetthe uniteverytimetheIGNITIONisturned on or adoorisopenedandclosedwhen

NOTE:WhenFULLTIMECARJACK isineffect, itmust bereset everytimethekeyisturnedon, Door

ineffecteachtimetheIgnitionisturnedon and/oradoorisopenedwithIgnitionon!Ifpower
becomesdisconnected,thenre-connectedtheCarjackFull-timecarjack triggerwill beactive. Press
theoverridebutton3timeswiththeKey onthedoorsclosedtoreset.

NOTE: All transmittersmustbe learnedatthetimeof programming. Thissystemcan learn up to4remotes.
1.Turn keytothe ONposition andpress programbutton4times.
2.Afterashortdelay,theunitwillflashthe parking lights4times,Siren4times,Horn4timesandstatus
LEDwill beonsolid.
3.Press theLockButtononthe remoteyou wishtoprogram.
4.Youshouldget 2lightflashes,2sirenchirpsand2horn honks(optional)indicatingthe unit iswaitingfor

Tosetupthe 2-Vehicleoperation youmustfirstprogramyour remotestoVehicle#2.Followthe“Transmitter
Programming”steps(Pg.11)atthe secondvehicleandlearnYOURremote,alongwithvehicle#2’sexisting
remotes.

(1) You donothavetoswitchbetween Vehicle“1”and“2” togetpagesfromeachvehicle.Yourremotepager
will receivepagesfrombothcarsregardless ofwhichvehiclethepager issetto.The “1”or“2”iconwill

The 2-WayLCDremotehasalowbatterywarningsystem.When thebattery
voltage islow,the LCD Pager Remotewill showalowvoltageicon.We
recommend replacing the batteryfor proper operation.To replace thebattery:
Simplyunlatchandslide open thebatterydooronthebackoftheremote.
Carefullyinsertanew1½VoltAAA Batteryusing the outline on the bottomofthe
batterycompartmentasaguide.Yourremotewill beep3times&vibrateifthe
batterywasinsertedcorrectly.Otherwise, removethebatteryandinsert again.
Toreplace thebatteryon Sidekick:
The 1-WaySidekickRemoteusestwoCR-2016Lithium3VoltBatteries.Simply
removethe twoPhillipsscrewsholding thebackcoverinplace.Insertthenew
batterieswiththe(+)endtowardthe circuit board.
