1. INTENDED USE
The LLS-3736-2, 2-bay battery charger is intended to charge 2054-style, smart, li-ion battery
packs supplied by ST Technologies®.
2. WARNINGS
•Upon initial receipt and before each use, inspect each battery and charger for damage. Do not
attempt to charge a damaged battery. Do not attempt to operate the charger if the cord and/or
plug appear to be damaged, such as cuts, bent pins or contacts, and/or cracks.
•Do not expose the charger to heat, fire, or mechanical shock.
•Place the charger in a cool spot, away from any heat sources.
•Do not use this equipment in the presence of a mixture containing flammable anesthetic and/or
air or oxygen or nitrous oxide.
•Do not sterilize, immerse, or expose the charger, or power supply to water, solvents, lubricants,
or other chemicals to clean the charger unless otherwise directed. Do not allow water to collect in
the bays or on top of the charger. Do not allow water to enter the power connection on the back
of the charger. Keep clean and dry.
•Do not short-circuit, crush, open, shred, incinerate, or dismantle the charger or the power supply
brick.

•The charger does not have serviceable parts. Contact ST Technologies®for replacement
instructions.
•Do not modify or change the power cord. The power cord should be plugged into a hospital grade
outlet.
•Do not bend the power cord forcibly or place a heavy object on it. This will damage the cord and
may cause fire or electrical shock.
•Use only the charger and charger accessories as intended. Do not modify the device.
•Do not operate the charger at a different voltage than what is listed on the unit and in this
Instructions for Use.
•Unplug the power supply from the wall socket during extended periods on non-use. Disconnect
the power plug by pulling from the plug housing and not the cord.
•If the charger or the battery generates excessive heat, becomes discolored, emits an odor, or
leaks disconnect the power cord from the wall socket immediately.
•This battery charger may not be located in the vicinity of a patient. In accordance with EN60601-
1-1, the horizontal distance must be at least 1.5 meters.
•Do not insert a fully charged battery into the charger repeatedly. Due to the high initial charge, the
battery could be overcharged which could lead to damage to the battery and to the battery
charger.
•This product has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference in a residential installation. If this device is causing interference with
other electrical equipment, relocate the charger further away from the other equipment.

4. BATTERY CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the charger on a stable surface. Plug the output connector of the external AC/DC power
supply into the DC input located on the rear of the charging station. Then plug the external
AC/DC power supply into an AC outlet.
If desired, route the AC/DC cable under the cable retention clip located on the rear of the charger,
and press down on the clip until it clicks. To release the cable retention clip, slide the clip laterally
until it clears the hook.

The charge process will start after inserting a battery pack into the slot. The charge indication will
be displayed (see Table 1).

The battery was not recognized as a Smart Battery. Either a
conventional battery is inserted or an extremely discharged
Smart Battery. If it is a Smart Battery, it will be reactivated
within 15 minutes and recharged. If this is not, the case, the
LED will light red – see below.
Orange blinking
The battery is currently being calibrated
Green light
The battery is charged and ready for use
Red blinking
The battery is too hot or too cold to be charged without
damage. If the battery is too cold, it will be charged as soon
as it has warmed up sufficiently. If the battery is too hot, it
should be removed to cool down.
Red light
Either:
- The battery is badly damaged and must be replaced
- It is a conventional battery which cannot be
recharged

NOTE:
•If a red LED is lit on a bay, the battery of the corresponding bay should be removed from
the charger and its contacts checked. Install the battery pack again. If the red LED
illuminates again, remove the battery pack from the charger and contact ST
Technologies®for service.
•The unit will become warm during normal operation. This does not indicate a malfunction.
•Prevent metallic objects from coming into contact with the metal parts of the DC plug of
the power supply. If this happens, a short may occur and the unit may be damaged.
•Ensure the battery has proper orientation before insertion. Do not attempt to force a
battery into the slot as this may damage the contacts.

5. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
•Disconnect the Charger from the power source.
•Clean the exterior of the charger with a cloth that has been dampened (not dripping) using a
hospital disinfectant. Follow applicable hospital protocols during cleaning and dry
immediately.
6. DISPOSAL/RECYCLE
•In accordance with the European Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
directive, we encourage our customers to recycle this product whenever possible. Disposal
of this unit must be performed in accordance with the applicable local environmental
regulations.
•In the US a list of recyclers in your area can be found at: http:/www.eiae.org/.
•Please contact our Repair Department to issue a return authorization to return product to
manufacturer at the end of product life.
7. TROUBLESHOOTING

8. LIMITED WARRANTY
Your 2-bay battery charger carries a 3-years warranty from the date of shipment on workmanship and
all defects of material except batteries. Should your product prove to have such defects within three
years from the date of shipment, ST Technologies®will repair or replace the product or component
part without charge. Should your 2-bay battery charger need servicing under this warranty, please
contact ST Technologies®for return authorization documentation. You should carefully pack product
in a sturdy carton and ship it to the factory. Please include a note describing the defects, your name,
telephone number and a return address. Warranty does not cover equipment subject to misuse,
accidental damage, and normal wear and tear. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you
may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
POST WARRANTY REPAIRS: You may return your product(s) for repair, shipping prepaid to the
factory. Your product will be inspected, and an estimate of repair charges will be submitted to you for
approval. Payment must be received before repairs are completed.

1. UTILISATION PRÉVUE
Le chargeur de batterie à deux baies LLS-3736-2 est conçu pour charger des batteries li-ion
intelligentes de type 2054 fournies par ST Technologies®
2. AVERTISSEMENTS
• Lors de la réception initiale et avant chaque utilisation, inspectez chaque batterie et chargeur
en vue d'éventuels dommages. N'essayez pas de charger une batterie endommagée.
N'essayez pas de faire fonctionner le chargeur si le cordon et/ou la prise semblent
endommagés, comme par exemple des coupures, des broches ou des contacts pliés, et/ou
des fissures.
• N'exposez pas le chargeur à la chaleur, au feu ou à des chocs mécaniques.
• Placez le chargeur dans un endroit frais, loin de toute source de chaleur.
• N'utilisez pas cet équipement en présence d'un mélange contenant un anesthésique
inflammable et/ou de l'air, de l'oxygène ou de l'oxyde nitreux.
• Ne pas stériliser, immerger ou exposer le chargeur ou l'alimentation à l'eau, aux solvants,
lubrifiants ou autres produits chimiques pour nettoyer le chargeur, sauf indication contraire.
Ne laissez pas l'eau s'accumuler dans les baies ou sur le dessus du chargeur. Ne laissez
pas l'eau entrer dans le raccordement électrique à l'arrière du chargeur. Conserver le propre
et sec.
• Ne pas court-circuiter, écraser, ouvrir, déchiqueter, incinérer ou démonter le chargeur ou le

Le chargeur ne possède pas de pièces de rechange. Contactez ST Technologies®
• pour obtenir des instructions de remplacement.
• Ne modifiez pas ou ne changez pas le cordon d'alimentation. Le cordon d'alimentation doit
être branché dans une prise de qualité hospitalière.
• Ne repliez pas le cordon d'alimentation avec force et ne placez pas d'objets lourds dessus.
Ceci endommagerait le cordon et pourrait causer un incendie ou un choc électrique.
• Utilisez uniquement le chargeur et les accessoires du chargeur comme cela est prévu.
Ne modifiez pas l'appareil.
• N'utilisez pas le chargeur avec une tension différente de celle indiquée sur l'appareil et dans
ce mode d'emploi.
• Débranchez l'alimentation de la prise murale pendant les périodes d'inutilisation prolongées.
Débranchez la fiche d'alimentation en tirant sur le corps de la prise et non sur le cordon.
• Si le chargeur ou la batterie génère une chaleur excessive, se décolore, dégage une odeur
ou fuit, débranchez immédiatement le cordon d'alimentation de la prise murale.
• Ce chargeur de batterie peut ne pas être situé à proximité d'un patient. Conformément à la
norme EN60601-1-1, la distance horizontale doit être d'au moins 1,5 mètre.
• N'insérez pas de manière répétée une batterie complètement chargée dans le chargeur. En
raison de la charge initiale élevée, la batterie pourrait être surchargée, ce qui pourrait
endommager la batterie et le chargeur de batterie.
• Ce produit a été testé et déclaré conforme aux limites imposées aux appareils numériques de
classe B, conformément à la section 15 du règlement de la FCC. Ces limites sont conçues pour
fournir une protection raisonnable contre les interférences nuisibles dans une installation
résidentielle. Si cet appareil provoque des interférences avec d'autres équipements électriques,
déplacez le chargeur plus loin de l'autre équipement.

4. INSTRUCTIONS POUR LE CHARGEMENT DE BATTERIE
Placez le chargeur sur une surface stable. Branchez le connecteur de sortie de l'alimentation
AC/DC externe dans l'entrée DC située à l'arrière de la station de charge. Branchez ensuite
l'alimentation AC/DC externe dans une prise secteur.
Si vous le souhaitez, placez le câble CA / CC sous le clip de maintien de câble situé à l'arrière
du chargeur, puis appuyez sur le clip jusqu'à ce que vous entendiez un déclic. Pour libérer le
clip de retenue de câble, faites-le glisser latéralement jusqu'à ce qu'il dégage le crochet.

Le processus de charge commencera après l’insertion d’une batterie dans le logement.
L’indication de charge s’affiche (voir tableau 1).

La batterie n'a pas été reconnue comme une batterie
intelligente. Une batterie conventionnelle est insérée ou une
batterie Smart extrêmement déchargée. S'il s'agit d'une
batterie intelligente, elle sera réactivée dans les 15 minutes
et rechargée. Si ce n'est pas le cas, le voyant s'allume en
rouge - voir ci-dessous.
Orange clignotant
La batterie est en cours de calibration
Lumière verte
La batterie est chargée et prête à l'emploi
Rouge clignotant
La batterie est trop chaude ou trop froide pour être chargée
sans dommage. Si la batterie est trop froide, elle sera
rechargée dès qu'elle aura suffisamment chauffé. Si la
batterie est trop chaude, il convient de l’enlever pour la
laisser refroidir.
Une fois rouge / orange / vert
Soit:
- La batterie est gravement endommagée et doit être
remplacée
- C'est une batterie conventionnelle qui ne peut pas être
rechargée

REMARQUE :
• Si une LED rouge est allumée sur une baie, la batterie de la baie correspondante
doit être retirée du chargeur et ses contacts doivent être vérifiés. Installez la batterie
à nouveau. Si le voyant rouge s'allume de nouveau, retirez la batterie du chargeur et
contactez ST Technologies®pour un service d'assistance.
• L'unité devient chaude pendant un fonctionnement normal. Cela n'indique pas un
dysfonctionnement.
• Empêchez les objets métalliques d'entrer en contact avec les parties métalliques de
la fiche DC de l'alimentation. Si cela se produit, un court-circuit peut arriver et l'unité
peut être endommagée.
• Assurez-vous que la batterie est correctement orientée avant de l'insérer. N'essayez
pas de forcer l'installation d'une batterie dans l'emplacement car cela pourrait
endommager les contacts.

5. INSTRUCTIONS DE NETTOYAGE
• Débranchez le chargeur de la source d'alimentation.
• Nettoyez l'extérieur du chargeur à l'aide d'un chiffon humide (pas de gouttes) avec un
désinfectant hospitalier. Suivre les protocoles hospitaliers applicables pendant le
nettoyage et sécher immédiatement.
6. DESTRUCTION / RECYCLAGE
• Conformément à la directive européenne relative aux déchets d'équipements électriques
et électroniques (DEEE), nous encourageons nos clients à recycler ce produit dans la
mesure du possible. La destruction de cet appareil doit être effectuée conformément aux
réglementations environnementales locales applicables.
• Aux États-Unis, vous trouverez une liste des lieux de recyclage présents dans votre région
à l'adresse suivante : http:/www.eiae.org/.
• Veuillez contacter notre département de réparation pour demander une autorisation de
retour afin de renvoyer produit au fabricant à la fin de vie du produit.
7. DÉPANNAGE

•Assurez-vous que le cordon d'alimentation du chargeur soit branché à la
prise d'alimentation secteur.
•Assurez-vous que le connecteur DC soit branché à l'arrière du chargeur
•Assurez-vous que la batterie soit correctement installée dans la baie du
chargeur.
•Si les tentatives répétées de charger la batterie ont échoué, la batterie est
peut-être défectueuse. Remplacez la batterie.
•Le chargeur peut avoir un cordon d'alimentation défectueux et/ou un bloc
d'alimentation. Remplacez le cordon d'alimentation et/ou le bloc
d'alimentation.

8. GARANTIE LIMITÉE
Votre chargeur de batterie à deux baies bénéficie d'une garantie de 3 ans à compter de la date
d'expédition couvrant la main d'œuvre et de tous les défauts de matériel à l'exception des
batteries. Si votre produit s'avère présenter de tels défauts dans un délai de trois ans à compter
de la date d'expédition, ST Technologies réparera ou remplacera le produit ou la pièce sans
frais. Si votre chargeur de batterie à deux baies doit être réparé sous cette garantie, veuillez
contacter ST Technologies pour obtenir la documentation d'autorisation de retour. Vous devez
soigneusement emballer le produit dans un carton solide et l'expédier à destination de l'usine.
Veuillez inclure une note décrivant les défauts, votre nom, votre numéro de téléphone et une
adresse de retour. La garantie ne couvre pas les équipements sujets à une mauvaise utilisation,
des dommages accidentels et une usure normale. Cette garantie vous donne des droits légaux
spécifiques et vous pouvez également recevoir d'autres droits variant d'un état à l'autre.
RÉPARATIONS APRÈS LA PÉRIODE DE GARANTIE : Vous pouvez retourner votre ou vos
produits en vue d'une réparation, avec expédition prépayée vers l'usine. Votre produit sera
inspecté et une estimation des frais de réparation vous sera soumise pour approbation. Le

2. WARNUNGEN
• Inspizieren Sie jeden Akku und jedes Ladegerät bei Empfang und vor jeder Benutzung auf
Schäden. Laden Sie keinen beschädigten Akku. Betreiben Sie kein Ladegerät, wenn das
Kabel und / oder der Stecker Schäden aufweisen, z.B. Einschnitte, verbogene Stifte oder
Kontakte bzw. Risse.
• Setzen Sie das Ladegerät keiner Hitze, Feuer oder mechanischen Stößen aus.
• Bewahren Sie das Ladegerät an einem kühlen Ort und fern von Wärmequellen auf.
• Verwenden Sie dieses Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Mixturen, die brennbare Anästhetika und
/ oder Luft oder Sauerstoff oder Stickstoffoxid enthalten.
• Ladegerät oder Netzteil nicht sterilisieren, untertauchen oder beim Reinigen Wasser,
Lösemitteln, Schmiermitteln oder anderen Chemikalien aussetzen, sofern nicht anders
angegeben. Lassen Sie kein Wasser in den Ladebuchten oder auf dem Ladegerät
ansammeln. Lassen Sie kein Wasser in die Stromanschlüsse auf der Rückseite des
Ladegeräts eintreten. Sauber und trocken halten.
• Ladegerät oder Netzteil nicht kurzschließen, zerquetschen, öffnen, zerschnitzeln oder
demontieren.
• Das Ladegerät hat keine wartbaren Teile. Kontaktieren Sie ST Technologies® für
