•Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer,
separate remote-control system or any other device that
switches the heater on automatically, since a fire risk
exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
•Do not use this heater with an extension cable.
•Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate
corresponds with that of the local network before
connecting the appliance to the mains power supply.
•Close supervision is required when using this appliance
near children.
•Never leave this appliance within reach of children.

•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision.
•Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless
continuously supervised.

only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has

•Repairs to electrical appliances should only be
performed by a qualified electrician. Improper repairs
may place user at serious risk.
•Do not operate this appliance with a damaged plug or
cord, after a malfunction or after being dropped or
damaged in any way.
•Regular, periodic checks should be carried out on the
mains cable to ensure no damage is evident. Should
there be any signs of damage the appliance should not
be used.
•If the power cable is damaged, it should only be replaced
by the manufacturer or a suitable qualified after-sales-
service in order to avoid a hazard
•Do not allow the mains cable to hang over sharp edges

sheds; this is applicable also for rooms in which highly

Before the first time you use your Oil Filled Radiator
Remove all packing materials and discard responsibly.
Before assembling your Oil Filled Radiator, ensure all parts are present –see
Description of Parts above.
Assembling your Oil Filled Radiator
•Place protective material (such as cardboard) on the floor to prevent scratching
or damage to the appliance.
•Turn the radiator upside down onto the material ensuring that it is stable. The
oil inside the radiator will be heard to settle inside this is quite normal.
•Attach the Castors (7) to the Angled Wheel Plate (8) and Straight Wheel Plate
(9) using the Domed Nuts (10) supplied as per the images below, tighten with a
suitable spanner (not supplied):
•Fitting the Angled Wheel Plate (8)
Remove the Wing Nuts (12) from one of the U-Bolts (11) and loop the U-Bolt
between the first and second fins behind the control housing, attach the Angled
Wheel Plate (8 - above left) securing in place using the Wing Nuts (12) as in the
image below, taking care not to overtighten:

Fitting the Straight Wheel Plate (9)
Remove the Wing Nuts (12) from the other U-bolt (11) and loop the U-Bolt
between the end and next to the end fins, attach the Straight Wheel Plate (9 -
above right) securing in place using the wing nuts as in the image below, taking
care not to overtighten:
Once the wheel plates and castors are attached invert the radiator the correct way
up onto its castors and place into the desired position ensuring that it is stable and
vertical. The oil inside the radiator will be heard to settle inside this is quite
normal.
LEAVE TO STAND UPRIGHT FOR ONE HOUR TO ALLOW FOR
THE OIL TO SETTLE.

Using Your Oil Filled Radiator
1. Powering up
Insert the mains plug into the nearest socket.
Right: Press Mains Switch (5) to the ‘I’
position to power up the radiator, a beep will
be heard to indicate the radiator is powered.
The light in the switch will illuminate to show
the heater is powered.
NB The Mains Switch (5) must be in the ‘I’
position in order for the Remote Control
(20) to operate.
Left: Press the On/Heat/Standby
button (17) button once to operate the
radiator.
Right: The LCD Display (2) will illuminate
and flash ‘88’ as shown.

desired room temperature on
the LCD Display (2).
NB the temperature can be set
in a range from 13°C to 30°C.
Press the °C/°F button (19) to
convert the temperature on
the LCD Display (2) between
degrees Centigrade and
degrees Fahrenheit as desired.

5. Changing Power Level Setting
This Oil Filled Radiator has three power level
settings, 600, 900 and 1500W.
At first power up the radiator will default to
the high (1500W) power setting. This is
shown as three heat symbols on the LCD
Display (2) arrowed left.
Press the On/Heat/Standby
button (17) once to select
the medium (900W) power
setting. This is shown as two
heat symbols on the LCD
Display (2) arrowed left.
Press the On/Heat/Standby
button (17) once more to
select the low (600W) power
setting. This is shown as one
heat symbol on the LCD
Display (2) arrowed left.
Press the On/Heat/Standby button (17) again and radiator will go into
Standby (off) mode. The LCD Display (2) will go blank.
NB pressing the On/Heat/Standby button (17) again will start the radiator
back up in high (1500W) power mode.

6. Using the timer
Using the Remote Control (20)
•The Remote Control (20) duplicates all the functions on the
Control Panel (3) as described above.
•Slide the Battery compartment cover in the direction of the
arrow and remove.
•Insert 2x 1.5V AAA Batteries (Not Supplied) being careful to
observe the polarity markings inside.
•Replace the battery cover.
NB The Mains On/Off Switch (5) must be in the on (I) position for
the Remote Control (20) to operate.
Auto off mode –this will switch the radiator off
after a set period of hours.
First, set the heat settings as described above.
Press the Mode button (15) until the LCD Display
(2) shows ‘AUTO OFF’ as shown right.
Press the Increase + (16) and Reduce - (18) buttons
to set the time the heater stays on for between 1
and 24 hours.
The heater will automatically switch off once the
set ‘AUTO OFF’ time has passed.
Auto on mode –this will switch the radiator on
after a set period of hours.
Press the Mode button (15) until the displays
shows ‘AUTO ON’ as shown right.
Press the Increase + (16) and Reduce - (18) buttons
to set the time the heater stays on for between 1
and 24 hours.
The heater will automatically switch on once the
set ‘AUTO ON’ time has passed.
NB The ‘AUTO OFF’ symbol and the clock symbol will flash whilst setting the AUTO
OFF time, the symbols will stop flashing after a short delay and the radiator will
begin counting down the off time.

•CAUTION: There is a danger of explosion if the batteries are incorrectly fitted.
•Ensure that the batteries are installed with the correct polarity.
•It is recommended that batteries are removed if the remote control if it is not
to be used for a long period of time or if the remote control is to be disposed
of.
•Replace only with the same or equivalent battery type.
•Store batteries in a cool dry place.
•Do not expose batteries to sunshine, fire, heat or similar, never dispose of
batteries in a fire.
•Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
•Do not short-circuit batteries.
•Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product and safely disposed
of.
WARNING!
•Do not ingest the batteries, Chemical Burn Hazard.
•Keep new and used batteries away from children and animals.
•If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and
keep it away from children.
•If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of
the body, seek immediate medical attention.
•If the batteries leak, remove them immediately to avoid damaging the product.
Do not remove the batteries with your bare hands or allow the battery fluid to
come into contact with your skin, eyes or mucous membranes. Wear normal
household gloves to do so. If, however, your skin has come into contact with
the battery fluid, wash your skin immediately, if necessary, seek medical
attention.
Switch off after use
Care and Use of your Oil Filled Radiator
•Always disconnect the Oil Filled Radiator from the mains power supply and allow
to cool before cleaning.
•Clean outside of the radiator with a clean damp cloth. Never clean with harsh or
abrasive cleaners.
•Do not submerge any part of radiator in water or any other liquids.
Switch off the radiator when not in use by
pressing the Mains On/Off switch (5) to the
‘0’ position.

Safety Devices
Thermal Cut-Out
Safety Thermal Cut-out. In the event of the radiator overheating (i.e. accidentally
being covered, etc.) the appliance will automatically cut out and switch itself off.
Switch off the mains switch and allow the radiator to cool for 30 minutes or so,
normal operation will then be restored.
Safety tip-over device.
In the event that the radiator is not stood totally upright or is knocked over the
safety tip-over device will operate and switch off the appliance.
Ensure that the radiator is mounted on a solid, level surface and that it is vertical.

Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead
and should the fuse need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one
(conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating). If in doubt, consult a qualified

As the end user you are required by law to bring all batteries and
rechargeable batteries to a collection point run by the Local
Authority or to a retailer, so that they can be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner.
This heater is filled with a precise quantity of special oil. Repairs requiring
opening of the oil container are only to be made by the manufacturer.
Whilst scrapping the heater, follow the regulations concerning the disposal of oil.
