• Donotusearefrigerantotherthantheoneindicatedontheoutdoorunit(R32)wheninstalling,movingorrepairing.Using
otherrefrigerantsmaycausetroubleordamagetotheunit,andpersonalinjury.

• Bewareofreincaseofrefrigerantleakage.Iftheairconditionerisnotoperatingcorrectly,i.e.notgeneratingcoolair,
refrigerantleakagecouldbethecause.Consultyourdealerforassistance.Therefrigerantwithintheairconditionerissafe
andnormallydoesnotleak.
However,intheeventofaleakage,contactwithanakedburner,heaterorcookermayresultingenerationofnoxiousgas.
Donotusetheairconditioneruntilaqualiedservicepersonconrmsthattheleakagehasbeenrepaired.
• Donotattempttoinstallorrepairtheairconditioneryourself.Improperworkmanshipmayresultinwaterleakage,electric

Selecting the operation mode
1. When the priority room setting is active but
the set unit is not operating or when the priority
room setting is inactive
Whenmorethanoneindoorunitisoperating,priorityisgiventothefirst
unitthatwasturnedon.
Inthiscase,settheunitsthatareturnedonlatertothesameoperation
modeasthefirstunit.
Otherwise,theywillenterthestandbystate,andwhenusingthewired
remotecontrollerthecentralizedcontrolicon“ ”willblink;thisdoesnot
indicatemalfunction.
2. With the priority room setting active

NIGHT QUIET mode (Available only for COOL operation)
NIGHTQUIETmoderequiresinitialprogrammingduringinstallation.Pleaseconsultyourretailerordealerforassistance.
NIGHTQUIETmodereducestheoperationnoiseoftheoutdoorunitduringthenight-timehourstopreventannoyancetoneighbours.
•NIGHTQUIETmodeisactivatedwhenthetemperaturedrops6°Cormorebelowthehighesttemperaturerecordedthatday.
Whenthetemperaturedifferencebetweenthecurrentoutdoortemperatureandthemaximumoutdoortemperaturebecomes
lessthan4°C,thisfunctionwillbecancelled.
•NIGHTQUIETmodeslightlyreducesthecoolingefficiencyoftheunit.
Priority room setting
(Unavailable when connected with outdoor model MKM50VVMG or

Thepriorityroomsettingrequiresinitialprogrammingduringinstallation.Pleaseconsultyourauthorizeddealerforassistance.

For cleaning, do not use any of the following:
•Waterhotterthan40°C
•Volatileliquidsuchasbenzine,petrolandthinner
•Polishingcompounds
•Roughmaterialssuchasascrubbingbrush
•Youmaychangethetimeofindication“Timetocleanfilter”.
If the indoor unit is used in a space where the air is too contaminated, ask your local dealer for solution.

methodsofmounting,dismounting,andcleaningtheairfilter,refertothemanualprovidedwiththeairfilter.
• Be sure to use the separately sold filter chamber.
Requestyourdealerfortheinstallationofthefilterchamber.
•Besuretocleantheairfilteratthebeginningofthecoolingseason.

After completing cleaning and installing an air  lter, turn off the indication of “Time to clean  lter” on the remote controller.

•Theindicationcanbeturnedoffwhiletheunitiseitheroperatingorstopped.

Care and Cleaning

How to clean air outlet, outside panels and remote controller
1. Clean with soft cloth.
2. When it is difcult to remove stains, use water or neutral
detergent.
NOTE
• Do not wash the suction grille with water of 50°C or higher.
It may cause discoloration and deformation.
• When drying the suction grille, do not heat it with re. It may cause burning.
• Do not use substances such as gasoline, benzine, thinner, polishing powder and liquid insecticide sold in the market.
It may cause discoloration and deformation.
Prior to a long period of non-use
1. Operate the FAN mode for several hours on a ne day to dry out
the inside.
1) Pressthe“MODE”selectorbuttonandselect“FAN”operation.
2) Pressthe“ON/OFF”buttonandstartoperation.
2. After operation stops, turn off the circuit breaker for the room
air conditioner.

4. To prevent battery leakage, take out the batteries from the
remote controller. (Only for the wireless remote controller)
We recommend periodical maintenance
•Incertainoperatingconditions,theinsideoftheairconditionermaygetfoulafterseveralseasonsofuse,resultinginpoor
performance.Itisrecommendedtohaveperiodicalmaintenancebyaspecialist.
•Forspecialistmaintenance,pleasecontactthedealerwhereyouboughttheairconditioner.
•Themaintenancecostmustbebornebytheuser.

The outdoor fan rotates while the air
conditioner is not in operation.
Afteroperationisstopped:
 • Theoutdoorfancontinuesrotatingforanother30secondsforsystemprotection.
Whiletheairconditionerisnotinoperation:

Whentheoutdoortemperatureisveryhigh,theoutdoorfanstartsrotatingforsystemprotection.
The operation stopped suddenly.

Forsystemprotection,theairconditionermaystopoperatingonasuddenlargevoltageuctuation.
