A powerful integrated system for smart card production and personalization, the
Datacard®MPR5000 card production and personalization system offers speeds of up to 3,000
cards per hour for card production and up to 3,600 cards per hour for card personalization,
providing an ideal balance of speed, functionality and investment.
PRODUCE HIGH-QUALITY SMART CARDS ON DEMAND
The MPR5000 card production and personalization system converts blank plastic cards into
high-quality smart cards quickly and reliably. It provides everything you need for fast and
efficient smart card production, executing every step of the production process — from card
cavity milling and chip embedding to punching for GSM SIM cards and chip testing.
A FULL RANGE OF CARD PERSONALIZATION CAPABILITIES
The MPR5000 system automatically transfers the cards to inline personalization modules.
Datacard Group’s patented barrel design features up to 36 smart card encoding heads, enabling
you to maintain exceptional system throughput even with long chip encoding times. Other
personalization features, such as laser engraving, allow you to add photos, text, bar codes,
fingerprints, microtext, signatures and other graphics to create personalized cards.
MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY
The MPR5000 system offers a modular design. You can add new card personalization and
production modules to systems in your operation with minimal disruption to your workflow.
It is an ideal solution for a variety of markets, delivering low-cost, high-quality cards for
GSM, Pay TV and transit programs. It is also convenient for financial and ID card programs
requiring the advanced security features of laser engraving, as well as the power of contact
and contactless smart cards.

Daily concerns in smart card production are variable volumes and the issuance of
smart cards on demand. These characteristics require an inline single-pass process. The
Datacard®MPR5800™inline card production and personalization system allows you to
combine highly reliable smart card production, personalization and delivery functions.
OPTIMIZATION
Configure your system to match your current demand and leverage your investment as
your requirements change. This tremendously reduces downtime between production
batches. It also drives down cost. An inline solution brings down the investment by 30%
compared with stand-alone equipment, improving cost-per-card.
PRODUCTION, PERSONALIZATION AND MAILING FUNCTIONS
The MPR5800 inline card production and personalization system includes high-speed
production and personalization modules, including graphics, color printing and embossing
for financial cards. In addition, it offers inline card delivery and envelope insertion to
finalize the card issuance process. The MPR5800 system is ideal for GSM, Pay TV,
transit, ID and financial card programs requiring an inline high-speed solution.
