1. Projector Firmware Upgrade Setup
Part A: Connect the Mini USB cable and enter Download Mode
1. Plug in the power cord and perform following steps to enter download mode.
NOTE: Please DON’T press power button to turn on the projector when entering download
mode.
Step A: Press the Power button and hold it.
Step B: Continuously hold the Power button and press the Enter button simultaneously on
the remote control.
Step C: Release the buttons after Temp and Error LED LEDs are both lighted up.
2. Connect the Mini USB (type A to Mini-B) cable to the projector and the computer.
Step A: Press and hold
the “Power” button. Step B: Press the “Enter”
button for a second.

Part B: Launch the Firmware Downloader Tool to Upgrade Projector Firmware
3. Double-click DDP442X Firmware Downloader.exe from downloader Firmware Downloader
Tool folder.
NOTE: The DDP442X Firmware Downloader tool does not support Mac OS.
4. DDP442X Firmware Downloader is executing and please checks USB status is Connected
(Projector found) before upgrade firmware.
5. Follow these steps to upgrade firmware:
Step A: Click “Browse” to find the firmware (*.img) from downloaded Projector FW folder.
Step B: Click “DownLoad Image” to start the upgrade projector firmware.
Step C: Start to Erasing old projector firmware.

Step D: Download and upgrade firmware.
WARNING: When you are in downloading mode, PLEASE do not press the keyboard.
Step E: Firmware download completed, click “OK” and plug out the Min USB cable from
projector.
6. Unplug and re-plug in the power cord to turn on 1220 projector.
