Setting the thermostat:
When the room has reached the desired temperature, turn the right-hand thermostat knob
(if fitted) slowly anti-clockwise until the appliance goes off and no further. The thermostat will
then keep room temperature at the selected level automatically.
FROST PREVENTION CYCLE
Turn the left-hand knob to position 2, then turn the right-hand thermostat knob to the
position . The appliance is set to maintain a temperature of about 5°C in the room with mini-
mum energy consumption.
Models with switch
-Heating at low power: press the “
-
“ switch (the red zone is visible on the switch).
-Heating at high power: press both switches (the red zone is visible on the switches).
-Turning the appliance off: turn off both switches.
You should always unplug the appliance from the mains when not in use.
MAINTENANCE
- Always remove the plug out of its socket before cleaning the heater.
- Periodically clean the air intake and outlet grilles.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning products or solvents.
WARNINGS
-Do not use the heater in the immediate surrondings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
-Always use the heater in an upright position.
-Do not use the heater to dry your laundry. Never obstruct the intake and outlet grilles (dan-
ger of overheating).
-Do not positon the heater in close proximity to curtains or other combustible materials.
-The heater must be positioned at least 50 cm from furniture or other objects.
- The use of extension leads is not reccomended, however if it is necessary then follow care-
fully the extension lead’s instructions, and most importantly ensure that the extension lead is
correctly rated in accordance with the heater being used and NEVER overloaded.
-When the appliance is used in portable version, do not place it up against walls, furniture, cur-
tains, etc.
-The appliance must be installed so that the switches and other controls can not be reached
by persons using the bath tub or the shower.
-This appliance comes with a Y-type connection. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order
to avoid a hazard.
- The appliance must not be located directly below a socket-outlet.
- The appliance is not intended for use by young children or the infirm persons without super-
vision.
- Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
-Do not cover the appliance while it is functioning in order to avoid overheating with the
attendant risk of fire.
- Do not use the appliance in rooms less than 4 m2in area.
The heater is fitted with a safety device which will switch off the heater in case of accidental
overheating (eg. obstruction of air intake and outlet grilles, motor turning slowly or not at all).
To reset, disconnect the plug from the power for a few minutes, remove the cause of overhea-
ting then plug the appliance in again.
Important: never for any reason cover the appliance during operation as this could
lead to dangerous overheating.
