1. When ready to start loading the container, rst ensure the
logger is disconnected from the external sensor cable before
proceeding.

2. Activate the FlashLink RTL Logger with the cable
disconnected:
•Press and hold the green START button until the STATUS
LED ashes 5 times, then release the button
•If the LEDs ash red-blue-red-blue when START button is
released, this indicates the logger did NOT activate
•Successful activation is indicated with a blue STATUS LED ashing
once every 10 seconds for 30 minutes
•After 30 minutes you can re-conrm activation with a single quick press
of the START button and the STATUS LED will ash blue one time
•To conrm connectivity to cellular service, check for a data point in
FlashTrak cloud service
•The logger is recording temperatrue data and storing it in internal
memory
•Once the RTL logger connects to a cellular network it will upload the
data it has stored

3. Remove the peel away barcode label from the sleeve and
place it on your copy of the shipping paperwork. This has the trip
number which is needed for reference and traceability
4. Load the rst two pallets in the back of the container
5. Take the sensor cable and afx the probe tip to one of the rst
pallets. It should be as close as possible to the supply air vent.
Use adhesive tape provided, plus heavy duty tape to secure the
probe to the pallet.

6. Run the sensor cable through the T-channel on the oor of the
container towards the doors. Make sure it is completely inside
the T-channel to keep it from being damaged while loading the
additional pallets. The side channel should have top covers,
which will help keep the cable from popping out of the T-channel
7. If the temperature needs to be tracked in the middle of the
container, the probe can be installed between cargo boxes at
the desired location. Secure the probe and cable to cartons with
heavy duty tape to keep it in place.

9. Load all the remaining pallets
10. Take the sensor cable from the T-channel and bring it up the
front of the last pallet, under the straps and skimmers to the top
carton. Additional tape can be used to keep the cable in place.
8. Leave the extra cable length inside the safety of the T-channel,
(pictured in step 6) or you may place it under the container
(pictured below) to avoid damage while loading the remaining
pallets.

11. Connect the sensor cable to the RTL logger, pressing
the stereo jack rmly together until her it ‘CLICK’ If it is not
completely connected, the external sensor will not register
temperature. Wrap tape around the stereo jack for extra security
to avoid accidental disconnection during transit.
12. Secure the logger on top of the pallet using the adhesive on
the back of the sleeve, or other means such as heavy-duty tape.
The best placement of the RTL Logger is as close to the door
seal as possible for optimal connection to cellular networks
and performance of the light sensor. Secure the excess cable
with heavy-duty tape.
