Gratulation zum Erwerb Deines neuen Weggefährten! DETOMASO
ist das Erkennungszeichen einer Männlichkeit mit Ecken und
Kanten. Die vielen gefällt, aber nicht jedem gefallen will.
Alle Uhren sind geprägt von unseren Wurzeln und stehen für
unverwechselbar maskulines Design, robuste Verarbeitung und
überzeugende Charakterstärke. Sie verkörpern Werte, auf die
jeder Mann stolz sein kann: Gelassenheit, Geradlinigkeit, Kraft,
Verlässlichkeit, Wandlungsfähigkeit und Authentizität.
Lies bitte sorgfältig diese Bedienungsanleitung, damit wir gewähr-
leisten können, dass Deine DETOMASO viele Jahre problemlos
funktioniert und Du lange Freude an Deinem neuen Begleiter hast.
Sollte es doch einmal Probleme geben, setzt unser Kundendienst
alles daran, diese schnellstmöglich zu lösen.

Wasserdichtigkeit
Die Wasserdichtigkeit Deiner DETOMASO–Uhr ist mit 10 ATM
getestet.
Das heißt, Deine Uhr besteht unbeschadet Händewaschen,
Baden, Regenspritzer, Schwimmen und Duschen. Sie ist nicht
geeignet zum Tauchen.
Wasserdichtigkeit ist keine bleibende Eigenschaft; sie sollte
jährlich und insbesondere vor besonderen Belastungen überprüft
werden, da die eingebauten Dichtungselemente in ihrer Funktion
und im täglichen Gebrauch nachlassen. Um die Wasserdichtigkeit
einer Uhr zu gewährleisten werden Dichtungen verwendet. Diese
unterliegen einem natürlichen Alterungsprozess. Sie werden u. a.
von Schweiß und Säuren angegriffen.
DIN 8310 regelt Kriterien, die neue Uhren aushalten müssen.
Die Widerstandsfähigkeit wird in Atmosphäre angegeben und auf
dem Gehäuseboden vermerkt. Deine DETOMASO–Uhr hat eine
Wasserdichtigkeit von 10 ATM. Die Druckangabe „10 ATM“ darf
nicht verwechselt werden mit der Tauchtiefe, sondern ist die
Denition des Prüfdrucks.
Ein Prüfdruck von „10 ATM“ wird in 100 m Wassertiefe erreicht.
Beim Schwimmen oder beim Sprung ins Wasser kann kurzfristig
ein größerer Druck auf die Dichtelemente entstehen als der
garantierte Prüfdruck. Besonders gefährdet sind die Uhren, wenn
man nach längerem Sonnenbaden ins Wasser springt, weil sich
dann der Aufschlagdruck mit dem Unterdruck durch die Abküh-
lung addiert, was leichter zu Schäden führen kann.
Beim Batteriewechsel ist es wichtig die Dichtungen zu überprüfen
und ggf. zu erneuern.

Pflegehinweise
Deine Uhr ist ein Meisterwerk der Elektronik und Feinmechanik
von hoher Präzision. Sie soll Dir lange die richtige Zeit anzeigen.
Schütze Deine Uhr vor Stößen, Magnetfeldern, starker Hitze,
Wasser und Chemikalien, sowie vor mechanischem Abrieb. Zum
Schlafen sollten Uhren grundsätzlich abgelegt werden.
Bleibt eine batteriebetriebene Uhr stehen oder wird das Nachlas-
sen der Batteriespannung angezeigt, sollte sie unverzüglich zum
Fachgeschäft gebracht werden, damit die leere Batterie weder in
der Uhr noch in der Umwelt Schaden anrichtet.
Der Batteriewechsel sollte regelmäßig und im Abstand von 1 – 1
½ Jahren im Fachgeschäft durchgeführt werden. Lass auch ge-
gebenenfalls den Zustand der Dichtungen überprüfen und diese,
wenn nötig, erneuern.
Bei Kondenswasserbildung (Nebel unter dem Glas) muss die
Uhr unverzüglich ins Fachgeschäft gebracht werden, damit die
Feuchtigkeit keinen Schaden anrichtet.
Die Krone sollte beim Tragen immer eingedrückt sein.

Bedienungsanleitung
Einstellung des Datums
1. Ziehe die Krone heraus, in die 1. Position.
2. Drehe die Krone in Uhrzeigerrichtung bis das Datum einge-
stellt ist.
3. Drücke die Krone in die Normal-Position zurück.
Achtung: Datum nicht zwischen 21.00 Uhr und 1.00 Uhr
einstellen.
Einstellung der Uhrzeit
1. Ziehe die Krone heraus, in die 2. Position.
2. Stelle die Uhrzeit durch Drehen der Krone ein.
3. Drücke die Krone in die Normal-Position zurück, wenn die
Uhrzeit eingestellt ist.
Chronograph – einfache Nutzung
1. Drücke Knopf A um den Chronographen zu starten.
2. Drücke Knopf A erneut, um den Chronographen wieder zu
stoppen. Bei erneutem Drücken des Knopfes A läuft der
Chronograph weiter.
3. Drücke Knopf B um den Chronographen auf „Null“ zurückzu-
stellen. (Der Chronograph darf nicht laufen.)

Eichen des Chronographen
Du solltest diesen Vorgang ausführen, wenn der Sekundenzei-
ger des Chronographen nicht auf die Nullposition zurückkehrt,
nachdem der Chronograph zurückgestellt bzw. die Batterie
ausgetauscht wurde.
1. Ziehe die Krone auf Pos. 2 heraus.
2. Drücke Knopf A um den Sekundenzeiger des Chronographen
auf die Nullposition zu setzen.
3. Drücke Knopf B um den 1/20 Sekundenzeiger auf die Nullpo-
sition zu setzen.
3. Drücke die Krone zurück in die Normalposition. Der Chrono-
graph ist nun richtig geeicht.

Wir garantieren, dass Deine Uhr aus qualitativ hochwertigen
Materialien gefertigt wurde. Aufwändige Qualitätskontrollen garan-
tieren, dass die Uhr vor Verlassen der Fabrikation geprüft wurde.
Trotzdem können Materialfehler leider nicht immer ausgeschlos-
sen werden. Sollte Deine neue Uhr nicht fehlerfrei sein, wende
Dich bitte innerhalb der Garantiefrist an unseren Kundendienst.
Auf Deine Uhr gewähren wir 24 Monate Garantie ab Kaufdatum
auf alle Material- und Herstellungsfehler. Diese Herstellergarantie
wird unbeschadet der gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsansprüche
gewährt. Die Garantie bezieht sich auf die Funktion des Uhrwerks
und der einwandfreien Verarbeitung der Uhr.
Nicht durch die Garantie abgedeckt sind Batterien, Verschleiß am
Gehäuse, Glas oder Uhrband sowie Schäden, die durch unsachge-
mäße Benutzung entstehen (Unfall, Glasbruch, Wasserschaden,
herausgerissene Krone).
Innerhalb der Garantie werden Fabrikationsmängel kostenlos von
uns behoben. Sollte die Uhr nicht zu reparieren sein, wird die Uhr
durch ein vergleichbares Modell ersetzt.
Eine Haftung für Neben- und Folgeschäden ist ausgeschlossen.
Im Garantiefall sende Deine Uhr zusammen mit Deinem Namen
und Deiner Adresse sowie einer Kopie des Kaufbeleges an den
Händler, bei dem Du die Uhr erworben hast oder an die auf der
Rückseite dieser Bedienungsanleitung angegebenen Anschrift.

Please read these operating instructions carefully to ensure that
your DETOMASO will work awlessly for many years, so you can
enjoy your new timekeeping buddy for a long time to come. Should
there be a problem, our customer service team will make every
effort to solve it as soon as possible.

Water resistance
The water resistance of your DETOMASO watch has been tested
to be 10 ATM.
This means that it is splashproof and that you may wash your
hands or take a bath or a shower with it. You may also swim
with it but it is not suitable for diving. A is not a permanent
characteristic; it should be tested annually and in particular
before the watch is put under exceptional strain, as the seals
deteriorate gradually in daily use. The seals are the important
factor in guaranteeing the water resistance of a watch. These
age naturally and are also affected by perspiration and acids. ISO
2281 stipulates which standards have to be met by a new watch.
The level of water resistance is given in atm and noted on the
base of the casing.
Your DETOMASO watch has been tested and has a water
resistance of 10 ATM. The specication “10 ATM” is not to be
confused with the diving depth; it is simply the denition of the in-
spection pressure. An inspection pressure of 10 ATM is reached
at a depth of 100 m. You cannot go diving with this watch. In
some cases a short-term higher pressure than the guaranteed
inspection pressure may be enforced on the seals, for example
when swimming or diving into water.
Watches are at particular risk when the wearer dives into water
after sunbathing. The combination of the impact pressure with
the negative pressure caused by the sudden drop in temperature
can quite easily cause damage. It is important to check and, if
necessary, replace seals when the battery is replaced.

Instructions for care
Your watch is a high precision electronic and mechanical mas-
terpiece and should serve you well for a long time.
Please keep your watch away from magnetic elds, heat, water
and
chemicals. Do not submit it to sudden impact or abrasion.
Watches should not be worn in bed.
If a battery operated watch stops or the low battery indicator
shows, it should be taken to a specialist as soon as possible
to prevent the battery from causing damage in the watch or to
the environment.
Batteries should be replaced by a specialist at regular intervals
of approx. 1 – 1 ½ years. The seals can then be checked and,
if necessary, replaced at the same time.
In the event of condensation forming underneath the glass
(misting), the watch should be taken to a specialist as soon as
possible to prevent the moisture from causing further damage.
The crown should always be rmly pressed in or screwed tight
during use.

Operating instructions
Setting the date
Caution: Do not set the date between 9 pm and 1 am.
1. Pull out the crown into the 1st position.
2. Set the date by turning the crown clockwise.
3. Push back the crown into the normal position after the date
has been adjusted.
Setting the time
1. Pull out the crown into the 2nd position.
2. Set the time by turning the crown.
3. Push back the crown into the normal position after the time
has been adjusted.
Chronograph – simple use of the stop watch
1. Push button A to start the Chrono (stop watch)
2. Repush button A to stop the function. Another push of button
A will let the Chronograph run.
3. Push button B to reset to zero.
(the Chronograph is not supposed to run)

Calibration (reset) of the Chronograph
This procedure should only be performed if the second hand of
the chronograph does not return to the zero position after the
chronograph has been reset or after battery change.
1. Pull out the crown to position 2.
2. Push button A once to set the chronograph second hand to
the zero position.
3. Press the button B once to set the chronograph 1/20 second
hand to the zero position.
3. Now push back the crown into its normal position. The chro-
nograph has been successfully calibrated.

24 month warranty
We guarantee that your watch is made of high quality materials.
Extensive quality controls guarantee that the watch is checked
before being released by the manufacturer.
Nevertheless, material faults cannot always be avoided. Should
your new watch show any faults, please consult our customer
service department within the valid warranty period.
We provide a 24 month warranty from date of purchase on
all material faults and production errors. This manufacturer’s
warranty applies regardless of statutory warranty rights. The
warranty covers the functioning of the clockwork and the awless
workmanship of the watch.
Not covered are: batteries, wear and tear of the casing, glass or
watch strap as well as damage caused by improper use (accident,
broken glass, water damage, pulled-out crown).
We will repair manufacturing faults free of charge within the war-
ranty period. Should the watch be irreparable it will be replaced by
a comparable model.
To obtain warranty services please return the product to the
place of purchase, together with a copy of your sales receipt
or other proof of purchase that shows the date of purchase.
Alternatively you may send the watch to the service centre listed
on the back of this booklet.
