Gratulation zum Kauf Ihrer neuen DETOMASO-Uhr.
Sie sind jetzt Eigentümer eines Zeitgebers, der sich durch höchste Präzision
und innovativem Design auszeichnet.
Für jede Uhr gilt, dass wir alle wichtigen Ersatzteile für viele Jahre bereithalten
und damit garantieren, dass jede Uhr über einen langen Zeitraum repariert
werden kann.
Damit wir gewährleisten können, dass Ihre neue Uhr viele Jahre problemlos
funktioniert, lesen Sie bitte sorgfältig die folgende Bedienungsanleitung.

Wasserdichtigkeit
Die Wasserdichtigkeit Ihrer DETOMASO–Uhr ist mit 10 ATM getestet.
Das heißt, Ihre Uhr besteht unbeschadet Händewaschen, Baden, Regensprit-
zer, Schwimmen und Duschen. Sie ist nicht geeignet zum Tauchen.
Wasserdichtigkeit ist keine bleibende Eigenschaft; sie sollte jährlich und insbe-
sondere vor besonderen Belastungen überprüft werden, da die eingebauten
Dichtungselemente in ihrer Funktion und im täglichen Gebrauch nachlassen.
Um die Wasserdichtigkeit einer Uhr zu gewährleisten werden Dichtungen
verwendet. Diese unterliegen einem natürlichen Alterungsprozess. Sie werden
u. a. von Schweiß und Säuren angegriffen.
DIN 8310 regelt Kriterien, die neue Uhren aushalten müssen. Die Wider-
standsfähigkeit wird in Atmosphäre angegeben und auf dem Gehäuseboden
vermerkt. Ihre DETOMASO–Uhr hat eine Wasserdichtigkeit von 10 ATM. Die
Druckangabe „10 ATM“ darf nicht verwechselt werden mit der Tauchtiefe,
sondern ist die Denition des Prüfdrucks. Ein Prüfdruck von „10 ATM“ wird in
100 m Wassertiefe erreicht.
Beim Schwimmen oder beim Sprung ins Wasser kann kurzfristig ein größerer
Druck auf die Dichtelemente entstehen als der garantierte Prüfdruck. Beson-
ders gefährdet sind die Uhren, wenn man nach längerem Sonnenbaden ins
Wasser springt, weil sich dann der Aufschlagdruck mit dem Unterdruck durch
die Abkühlung addiert, was leichter zu Schäden führen kann.
Beim Batteriewechsel ist es wichtig die Dichtungen zu überprüfen und ggf. zu
erneuern.

Pflegehinweise
Ihre Uhr ist ein Meisterwerk der Elektronik und Feinmechanik von hoher Präzi-
sion. Sie soll Ihnen lange die richtige Zeit anzeigen. Schützen Sie Ihre Uhr vor
Stößen, Magnetfeldern, starker Hitze, Wasser und Chemikalien, sowie vor me-
chanischem Abrieb. Zum Schlafen sollten Uhren grundsätzlich abgelegt werden.
Bleibt eine batteriebetriebene Uhr stehen oder wird das Nachlassen der
Batteriespannung angezeigt, sollte sie unverzüglich zum Fachgeschäft gebracht
werden, damit die leere Batterie weder in der Uhr noch in der Umwelt Schaden
anrichtet.
Der Batteriewechsel sollte regelmäßig und im Abstand von 1 – 1 ½ Jahren
im Fachgeschäft durchgeführt werden. Lassen Sie auch gegebenenfalls den
Zustand der Dichtungen überprüfen und diese, wenn nötig, erneuern.
Bei Kondenswasserbildung (Nebel unter dem Glas) muss die Uhr unverzüglich
ins Fachgeschäft gebracht werden, damit die Feuchtigkeit keinen Schaden
anrichtet. Die Krone sollte beim Tragen immer eingedrückt sein.

Bedienungsanleitung
Einstellung des Wochentags
1. Ziehen Sie die Krone heraus, in die 2. Position.
2. Drehen Sie die Krone in Uhrzeigerrichtung um den Wochentag zu wechseln.
3. Drücken Sie die Krone in die Normal-Position zurück, wenn der Wochentag
eingestellt ist.
Einstellung der Uhrzeit
1. Ziehen Sie die Krone heraus, in die 2. Position.
2. Stellen Sie die Uhrzeit durch Drehen der Krone ein.
3. Drücken Sie die Krone wieder in die Normal-Position.
Einstellung des Datums
1. Ziehen Sie die Krone heraus, in die 1. Position.
2. Drehen Sie die Krone in Uhrzeigerrichtung um das Datum zu wechseln
(Datum nicht zwischen 21.00 Uhr und 0.30 Uhr einstellen).
3. Drücken Sie die Krone in die Normal-Position zurück, wenn das Datum
eingestellt ist.

Chronograph - einfache Nutzung
1. Drücken Sie Knopf A um den Chronographen zu starten.
2. Drücken Sie Knopf A erneut, um den Chronographen wieder zu stoppen.
3. Drücken Sie Knopf B um den Chronographen auf „Null“ zurückzustellen.
Messen von Zwischen- und Gesamtzeit
1. Drücken Sie Knopf A um den Chronographen zu starten.
2. Drücken Sie Knopf B um eine Zwischenzeit zu nehmen.
3. Drücken Sie Knopf B erneut, um den Chronographen weiterlaufen zu lassen.
Dabei läuft der Sekundenzeiger schnell vor, um die seit der Zwischenzeitnah-
me vergangene Zeit aufzuholen.
4. Drücken Sie Knopf A erneut um den Chronographen wieder zu stoppen.
5. Drücken Sie Knopf B, um den Chronographen auf „Null“ zurückzusetzen.

Eichen des Chronographen
(nur nach Batteriewechsel oder unkorrekter Handhabung)
1. Ziehen Sie die Krone auf Pos. 2 heraus. Durch anhaltendes Drücken von
Knopf B gelangen Sie in den Eich-Modus der Chronographen Funktion.
2. Durch Drücken des Knopfes B stellen Sie den Minutenanzeiger des Chro-
nographen bis zur Nullposition. Dabei führt ein kurzes Drücken zu einer
schrittweisen Einstellung, während anhaltendes Drücken den Zeiger in eine
schnelle Bewegung versetzt.
3. Durch Drücken von Knopf A stellen Sie den Sekundenzeiger des Chronogra-
phen bis zur Nullposition. Dabei führt ein kurzes Drücken zu einer schrittwei-
sen Einstellung, während anhaltendes Drücken den Zeiger in eine schnelle
Bewegung versetzt.
Achtung: Beim Eichen des Minutenzeigers bewegt sich der Sekundenzeiger
mit. Sofern Sie beide Anzeigen eichen wollen, ist es wichtig, dass Sie die
Schritte in der angegeben Reihenfolge machen (Minute vor Sekunde).
4. Drücken Sie die Krone zurück in die erste Position. Der Chronograph ist nun
richtig geeicht.

Wir garantieren, dass Ihre Uhr aus qualitativ hochwertigen Materialien gefertigt
wurde. Aufwändige Qualitätskontrollen garantieren, dass die Uhr vor Verlassen
der Fabrikation geprüft wurde. Trotzdem können Materialfehler leider nicht
immer ausgeschlossen werden. Sollte Ihre neue Uhr nicht fehlerfrei sein,
wenden Sie sich bitte innerhalb der Garantiefrist an unseren Kundendienst. Auf
Ihre Uhr gewähren wir 24 Monate Garantie ab Kaufdatum auf alle Material- und
Herstellungsfehler. Diese Herstellergarantie wird unbeschadet der gesetzlichen
Gewährleistungsansprüche gewährt. Die Garantie bezieht sich auf die Funktion
des Uhrwerks und der einwandfreien Verarbeitung der Uhr.
Nicht durch die Garantie abgedeckt sind Batterien, Verschleiß am Gehäuse,
Glas oder Uhrband sowie Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Benutzung entste-
hen (Unfall, Glasbruch, Wasserschaden, herausgerissene Krone).
Innerhalb der Garantie werden Fabrikationsmängel kostenlos von uns behoben.
Sollte die Uhr nicht zu reparieren sein, wird die Uhr durch ein vergleichbares
Modell ersetzt.
Eine Haftung für Neben- und Folgeschäden ist ausgeschlossen.
Im Garantiefall senden Sie Ihre Uhr zusammen mit Ihrem Namen und Ihrer
Adresse sowie einer Kopie des Kaufbeleges an den Händler, bei dem Sie die
Uhr erworben haben. Oder an die auf der Rückseite dieser Bedienungsanleitung
angegebenen Anschrift.

Foreword
Congratulations on the purchase of your new DETOMASO watch. You are now
the new owner of a high precision time keeper characterised by its innovative
design.
We keep a long term stock of the most important spare parts for all our wat-
ches, guaranteeing repair over a period of many years.
In order to ensure that your new watch functions properly for many years,
please read the following instructions carefully.

Waterproof properties
The water resistance of your DETOMASO watch has been tested to be 10 ATM.
This means that it is splashproof and that you may wash your hands or take
a bath or a shower with it. You may also swim with it but it is not suitable for
diving. Waterproofness is not a permanent characteristic; it should be tested
annually and in particular before the watch is put under exceptional strain, as
the seals deteriorate gradually in daily use. The seals are the important factor
in guaranteeing the waterproofness of a watch. These age naturally and are
also affected by perspiration and acids. ISO 2281 stipulates which standards
have to be met by a new watch. The level of waterproofness is given in atm and
noted on the base of the casing.
Your DETOMASO watch has been tested and has a water resistance of 10
ATM. The specication „10 ATM” is not to be confused with the diving depth;
it is simply the denition of the inspection pressure. An inspection pressure of
10 ATM is reached at a depth of 100 m. You cannot go diving with this watch.
In some cases a short-term higher pressure than the guaranteed inspection
pressure may be enforced on the seals, for example when swimming or diving
into water.
Watches are at particular risk when the wearer dives into water after sun-
bathing. The combination of the impact pressure with the negative pressure
caused by the sudden drop in temperature can quite easily cause damage.
It is important to check and, if necessary, replace seals when the battery is
replaced.

Instructions for care
Your watch is a high precision electronic and mechanical masterpiece and
should serve you well for a long time.
Please keep your watch away from magnetic elds, heat, water and chemicals.
Do not submit it to sudden impact or abrasion. Watches should not be worn in
bed.
If a battery operated watch stops or the low battery indicator shows, it should
be taken to a specialist as soon as possible to prevent the battery from causing
damage in the watch or to the environment.
Batteries should be replaced by a specialist at regular intervals of approx. 1 –
1 ½ years. The seals can then be checked and, if necessary, replaced at the
same time.
In the event of condensation forming underneath the glass (misting), the watch
should be taken to a specialist as soon as possible to prevent the moisture
from causing further damage.
The crown should always be rmly pressed in or screwed tight during use.

Operating instructions
Setting the weekday
1. Pull out the crown into the 2nd position
2. Set the weekday by turning the crown clockwise
3. Push back the crown into the normal position after the weekday has been
adjusted.
Setting the time
1. Pull out the crown into the 2nd position
2. Move the hour and minute hand by turning the crown clockwise
3. Push back the crown into the normal position.
Setting the date
* Do not set the date between 9 pm and half past midnight
1. Pull out the crown into the 1st position
2. Set the date by turning the crown clockwise.
3. Push back the crown into the normal position after the date has been
adjusted.

Chronograph – simple use of the stop watch
1. Push button A to start the Chrono (stop watch)
2. Repush button A to stop the function

Calibration (reset) of the Chronograph
(only after battery change or faulty handling)
1. Pull out the crown to position 2. If button B is pressed and held, you will get
to the calibration mode of the chronograph function.
2. Press button B to set the minute hand to the zero position. A short push will
give you a step by step advance whereas the hand can be advanced rapidly
by continuously pushing this button.
3. Press button “A” to set the second hand of the chronograph to the zero
position. A short push will give you a step by step advance whereas the hand
can be advanced rapidly by continuously pushing this button.
Attention: When calibrating the minute hand the second hand will also move.
In order to calibrate both hands it is crucial to stick to the
sequence stated which is minute before second.
4. Push the crown back into its normal position. The chronograph has now
been successfully calibrated.

24 month warranty
We guarantee that your watch is made of high quality materials. Extensive
quality controls guarantee that the watch is checked before being released by
the manufacturer.
Nevertheless, material faults cannot always be avoided. Should your new watch
show any faults, please consult our customer service department within the
valid warranty period.
We provide a 24 month warranty from date of purchase on all material faults
and production errors. This manufacturer’s warranty applies regardless of
statutory warranty rights. The warranty covers the functioning of the clockwork
and the awless workmanship of the watch. Not covered are: batteries, wear
and tear of the casing, glass or watch strap as well as damage caused by
improper use (accident, broken glass, water damage, pulled-out crown).
We will repair manufacturing faults free of charge within the warranty period.
Should the watch be irreparable it will be replaced by a comparable model.
To obtain warranty services please return the product to the place of purchase,
together with a copy of your sales receipt or other proof of purchase that
shows the date of purchase. Alternatively you may send the watch to the ser-
vice centre listed on the back of this booklet.
