5. OPERATING PRINCIPLE
5.1. The principle of operation of the TRAINER training self-rescuer, completed with an imitating
cartridge for practicing in a breathable atmosphere, is as follows:
• overall dimensions, weight and carrying method of the TRAINER training self-rescuer are similar
to respective characteristics of self-rescuers 1PVM KS, ШСС-1П, SSS-1PV KS. This ensures
training of carrying skills for these self-rescuers when using the TRAINER training self-rescuer
equipped with an imitating cartridge;
• when opening the lock (Fig. 2), formed by coupling straps 18 and 19 and the releasing lid 17,
overcoming the force of the magnet, cover 15 is removed from the imitating starter 5. The lock
opening force and the force of magnet separation from the starter of the TRAINER training
self-rescuer correspond to similar characteristics of self-rescuer 1PVM KS, ШСС-1П,
SSS-1PV KS, thus ensuring development of practical donning skill;
• when the user starts using the TRAINER training self-rescuer, the exhaled air flows through
mouthpiece 6 and exits into the atmosphere through the opening in the HME -imitator 14.
During inhalation, the air flows in the opposite direction. The size of the opening in the lid of the
HME-imitator provides breathing resistance close to the value of the breathing resistance
in self-rescuers 1PVM KS, ШСС-1П, SSS-1PV KS. Before each subsequent practice,
the HME-imitator shall be replaced with a new one or disinfected according to the requirements
set out in ANNEX A.
5.2. The principle of operation of the TRAINER training self-rescuer equipped with 15-, 35- or
60-minute disposable kits, when practicing in a «smoke chamber» or for carrying out training escape,
is similar to the principle of operation and breathing conditions in self-rescuers 1PVM KS, ШСС-1П,
SSS-1PV KS, and is as follows:
• overall dimensions, weight and fastening procedure of the TRAINER training self-rescuer are
similar to respective characteristics of self-rescuer 1PVM KS, ШСС-1П, SSS-1PV KS. This
ensures development of carrying and donning skills for these self-rescuers when using the
TRAINER training self-rescuer equipped with a disposable training kit;

DEZEGA SKTB.02.ТСТ1.00.00.000 РЭ-U2
11
• opening of the lock (Fig. 2), formed by coupling straps 18 and 19, and releasing of lid 17
(Fig. 2, 4) automatically launches starter 2 (Fig. 3) and the breathing bag 6 is filled with oxygen,
necessary for human breathing in the initial period. The force of lock opening and triggering force
of the TRAINER training self-rescuer correspond to respective characteristics of self-rescuers
1PVM KS, ШСС-1П, SSS-1PV KS, thus ensuring training of donning skills;
• when the user starts using the training self-rescuer and takes a breath, the air flows through
HME 4 (Fig. 3), breathing tube 3, regenerative cartridge 1 and enters the breathing bag 6. The
regenerative cartridge is filled with an oxygen-containing substance (potassium superoxide KО2),
which absorbs carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air exhaled by a human and releases oxygen (O2).
The excess air from the breathing bag 6 is removed to the atmosphere through the relief
valve 7. During inhalation, the air flows in the opposite direction and enters the human respiratory
system enriched with oxygen. Breathing in the TRAINER training self-rescuer, equipped with a
regenerative cartridge, fully reproduces the conditions and ensures practicing the breathing skill
in self-rescuers 1PVM KS, ШСС-1П, SSS-1PV KS;
• disposable kit in the TRAINER training self-rescuer can be replaced with a 15-, 35- or 60-minute
regenerative cartridge complete with reusable air system and HME.
CAUTION!!
Each user must have an individual HME
