Thank you for purchasing the Diagnostic T-01 thermometer.
The device is designed to be used for measuring the body
temperature of children and adults. Read the instruction manual
carefully before using this device.
Read instructions thoroughly before using digital thermometer.
Choking Hazard: Thermometer cap and battery could be
swallowed. Do not allow children to use this device without
parental supervision.
Do not use thermometer in ear. Designed to be used for oral,
rectal, and armpit (axilla) readings only.
Do not place thermometer battery near extreme heat as it may
explode.
Note: Use of the probe cover may result in a 0.1°(0.2℉) C
discrepancy from actual temperature.
It is recommended, .the performance of the digital
thermometer should accuracy every two years.
Remove battery from the device when not in operation for a
long time.
The use of temperature readings for self-diagnosis is
dangerous. Consult your doctor for the interpretation of results.
Self-diagnosis may lead to the worsening of existing conditions.
Do not attempt measurements when the thermometer is wet
as inaccurate readings may result.
Do not bite the thermometer. Doing so may lead to breakage
and/or injury.
Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the thermometer.
Doing so may result in inaccurate readings.
After each use, disinfect the thermometer especially in case
the device is used by more than one person.
Do not force the thermometer into the rectum. Stop insertion
and the measurement when pain is present. Failure to do so
may lead to injury.
Do not use thermometer orally after being used rectally.
For children who are two years old or younger, please do not
use the devices orally.

Efficiency of the device may be reduced if one or more of the
following factors occur:
Operation outside the manufacturer's stated temperature and
humidity range.
Storage outside the manufacturer's stated temperature and
humidity range.
Mechanical shock (e.g. dropping)
Patient temperature is below ambient temperature.
Portable and mobile RF communications can affect the device.
The device needs special pre-cautions regarding EMC according
to the EMC information provided in the accompany documents.
SPECIFICATION
MEASURING
1. Press the ON/OFF Button, a short beep signals the
thermometer ON. A tone will sound as the screen shows Fig.1
followed by last recorded temperature. After showing the self-
tested temperature, the thermometer is now ready for use.
Symbol Lo and a flashing °C (Fig.2) indicates the testing mode.
*Note: If the measured temperature is less than 32°C (90℉) the
LCD will show Lo, if the measured temperature is higher than 42.9°C
(109.9℉), the LCD will display Hi.
2. Position thermometer in desired location (mouth, rectum, or
armpit.)
a) Oral Use: Place the thermometer
under tongue. Close your mouth
and breathe evenly through the
nose to prevent the measurement
from being influenced by
inhaled/exhaled air. Normal
temperature between 35.7°C - 37.3
°C (96.3℉ - 99.1℉)
b) Rectal Use: Lubricate silver probe
tip with petroleum jelly for easy
insertion. Gently insert the sensor
of thermometer approximately 1cm (less than 1/2") into
rectum. Normal temperature between 36.2°C - 37.7 °C (96.2℉
- 99.9℉)
c) Armpit Use: Wipe armpit with a dry towel. Place probe in the
armpit and keep the arm pressed firmly at side. Normal
temperature between 35.2°C - 36.7 °C (95.4℉ - 98.1℉).

3. The degree sign flashes throughout the testing process. When
flashing stops an alarm will beep for approximately 10
seconds. The measured reading will appear on the LCD
simultaneously. The minimum measurement time until the
signaling tone (beep) must be maintained without exception.
The measurement continues even after the buzzer notification.
The displayed temperature will not change when thermometer
is removed from its testing position.
Note: Normally the buzzes are“ Bi-Bi-Bi- Bi-”. Alarm beeps more
rapidly when temperature reaches 37.8°C (100℉) or higher,
and the buzzes are “Bi-Bi-Bi----- Bi-Bi-Bi------- Bi-Bi-Bi”
4. To prolong battery life, press the On/Off Button to turn unit off
after testing is completed. If the unit will automatically turn
off after around 10 minutes.
5. Store the thermometer in its protective case.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
1. Replace battery when symbol appears in the lower right corner of
the display.
2. Pull the battery cover off as shown in (Fig.4).
3. Gently pull out the plastic circuit board with the battery chamber
approximately 1 cm (slightly less than1/2".) (Fig. 5)
4. Use pointed object such as a pen to remove old battery. Discard the
battery lawfully. Replace with new 1.5 DC button type LR41 or
SR41,UCC392, or equivalent. Be sure the battery is installed with “+”
polarity at the top. (Fig.6)
5. Slide the battery chamber back into place and attach the cover.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
Wipe the thermometer with a soft clean cloth. For stubborn stains,
wipe the thermometer with a cloth that has been dampened with
water or a neutral detergent solution and then rinse and dry
thoroughly. Finish by wiping with a soft dry cloth. To prevent damage
to the thermometer follow given instructions:
Do not use benzene, thinner, gasoline or other strong solvents
to clean the thermometer.
Do not soak the sensing section in alcohol for long periods of
time or attempt to sterilize with water (water at a temperature
of 50°C or higher.
Do not use ultrasonic washing to clean the thermometer.
Disposal of this product and used batteries should be carried out in
accordance with the national regulations for the disposal of
electronic products. The device meets requirements of MDD
93/42/EWG. 0197 - notified body number.

The worn out product should be taken to a waste collection facility.
Contains components that are dangerous for the environment. The
correct disposal of the device allows to preserve valuable resources and
avoid negative effects on health and the environment, which may be
threatened by inappropriate handling of waste.
1. Diagnosis S.A. grants a warranty:
24 months for Diagnostic T-01 Thermometer
Hardware defects revealed during the warranty period will be rectified
free of charge within 21 days. The term runs from the date of delivery
of the equipment to the service center.
2. The purchaser shall be entitled to replace the equipment for a new one,
free of defects, when:
the repair has not been made within the time limit set in item 1
an authorized service center found an irreparable manufacturing defect
during the warranty period, 4 repairs were effected, and the equipment
still shows defects that prevent its use in accordance with its intended
purpose.
The concept of repair shall not include operations related to equipment
check and cleaning.
3. The warranty shall not cover: batteries, products with illegible or
damaged serial number, damage due to the operation and storage
inconsistent with the user manual, ingress of liquids or foreign bodies,
overvoltage of mains, repairs by unauthorized persons and random
events.
4. Faulty equipment should be delivered by the buyer to the address of
the main service center or one of the Authorized Service Centers
(listed in the appendix).
5. The warranty for the sold consumer goods shall not exclude, restrict,
or suspend the powers of the buyer resulting from non-conformity of
the goods with the contract.
6. The only basis for the warranty rights shall be the warranty card with
the date of sale, stamp and signature of the salesperson. If the card is
not completed, filled in wrongly, with traces of corrections and entries
made by unauthorized persons, illegible as a result of damage - it
shall be invalid.
