Caution
1. Only use the device once you have read and under-
stood these instructions for use. Keep the instruction
manual for use.
2. The thermometer and patient needs to stay in the
room in which the measurement is taken for at least
30 minutes before use.
3. It is recommend that you always take the tempera-
ture in the same location, since temperature read-
ings may vary according to the locations.
4. It is recommended that three temperatures are tak-
en and the highest one taken as the reading if:
a) New born infants
b) Children with a compromised immune system
and for whom the presence or absence of fever
is critical.
c) When the user is learning how to use the ther-
mometer for the rst time until he/she has famil-
iarized himself/herself with the instrument and
obtains consistent readings.
d) The reading is extremely low.
5. Do not take a measurement while drinking, eating,
sweating or exercising.
6. Do not take measurement while or immediately after
nursing.
7. Children is not allowed to use the device. Medical
products are not toys.
8. Inuences on body temperature
a) A person’s individual metabolism
b) Age: Greater temperature uctuations occur faster
and more often in children. Normal body temper-
ature decreases with age.
c) Clothing
d) Outside temperature
e) Time of day: Body temperature is lower in the
morning and increases throughout the day to-
wards evening.
f) Activities: Physical and, to a lesser extent, mental
activities increase body temperature.
9. This device is not shock-protected. Do not drop or
expose to heavy shock this device.
10. Do not bend the device.
11. Do not disassemble or make modications the de-
vice.
12. Please do not dispose of the product in the house-
hold waste at the end of its useful life. Disposal can
take place at your local retailer or at appropriate col-
lection points provided in your country.
13. Do not boil the probe.
14. Do not use the device if it operates irregularly or any
error massage showed.
15. Do not use thinner or benzene to clean the device.
16. Wipe the device clean before storing.
17. When take the device from storage at be-
low or above 16~40°C(60.8~104°F), place it in
16~40°C(60.8~104°F) temperature range for at least
30 minutes before use.
18. Remove the battery if the device will not be used for
a long time.
19. If this device is used according to the operation in-
struction, periodic re-calibration is not required. If
you still have questions, please send the complete
device to dealers.
20. Do not use this device for diagnosis or treatment of
any health problem on disease. Measurement re-
sults are for reference only. Contact your physician
if you have or suspect any medical problems. Do not
change your medications without the advice of your
physician or healthcare professional.
21. This device may not meet its performance specica-

22. Battery should not be charged or placed into ex-
treme heat as it may explode.

Introduction
This Rossmax non-contact temple thermometer is
intended for measuring human body temperature;
while is not intended as a substitute for consultation
with your physician. This thermometer has been clini-
cally tested in the hospital based on the regulatory
standard protocol and proven to be safe and accurate
when used in accordance to the operating instruction
manual.
• The quality of the infrared temple thermometer has
been veried and conforms to the provisions of the
EC council directive 93/42/EEC (Medical Device Di-
rective) Annex I essential requirements and applied
harmonized standards. Comply with ASTM E1965-
98(2016).
• This thermometer converts the temple temperature
to display its “oral equivalent.”(according to the result
of the clinical evaluation)

Function
Temple
Temperature
The thermometer has been designed
for practical use. It’s not meant to
replace a visit to the doctor. Please
also remember to compare the meas-
urement result to your regular body
temperature.
Object Mode
The object mode shows the actual,
unadjusted surface temperatures,
which is different from the body tem-
perature. It can help you to measure
any object other than body surface, for
example the baby’s milk.
Fever Alarm
If thermometer detects a body tem-
perature ≥37.5°C(99.5°F) there will be
four beeps sound with flashing reading
to warn the user for potential fever.
How to measure temple temperature
1. Always make sure the probe is clean, and without
damage. Pull out the insulation sheet of battery be-
fore taking temperature for the rst time.
2. Vertically aim the thermometer at the temple with a
distance of less than 5 cm. If the temple is covered
with hair, sweat or dirt, remove the obstacle from the
temple to improve the measuring accuracy.
3. Press the “START” button to take temperature. Meas-
urement is complete when you hear a long beep
sound.
4. Read the recorded temperature from the LCD display.
Switching between Fahrenheit and Celsius
1. Make sure the device is o. (Or you can turn o the
device by pressing and holding the “Memory” button
for 3 seconds.)
2. Press and hold on the“Start“ &“Memory”button at the
same time about 8 seconds until °C or °F appears on
the LCD.
3. Press the “Memory” button to select the desired scale
°C or °F, release the “Memory” button to decide your
desired scale, wait for 6 seconds and the setting will
be conrmed.
How to measure object temperature
No matter the thermometer unit is powered on or o,
for changing the measuring target between the tem-
ple and object, please set the slide switch to the cor-
responding measuring mode or target before the next
measurement. After setting a new measuring target, the
measuring site display icon will also be switched accord-
ingly.
Once aiming at the measured target, press the “START”
button to take temperature. Measurement is complete
when you hear a long beep sound. Read the recorded
temperature from the LCD display.
Note:
1. Pull out the insulation sheet of battery before taking
temperature for the rst time.
2. Applications include temperature measurements for
Water, Milk, Cloth, Skin or other object.
3. This mode shows the actual, unadjusted object tem-
peratures, which is dierent from the body tempera-
ture.
Memory function
There are total 9 set memories for measurement records.
If the reading of the thermometers is within the normal
temperature range of 34 °C to 42.2 °C (93.2 °F to 108°F ),
when the measurement is done, the measurement data
is saved into memory.
• Press “ Memory” button to repeatedly recall each tem-
perature memory.
Care and cleaning
1. The probe is the most delicate part of the thermom-
eter. Use with care when cleaning the lens to avoid
damage.
2. After the measurement, please use the cotton swab
with the Alcohol (70% concentration) to clean the in-
side of the probe, including lens and metal parts.
3. Allow the probe to fully dry for at least 5 minutes.
4. Storage temperature range: It should be stored at
room temperature between -25~+55°C, (-13°F~131°F)

5. Keep the unit dry and away from any liquids and direct
sunlight.
6. The probe should not be submerged into liquids.
7. Please check the device if damaged once it falls. If you
can’t make sure of it, please send the complete device
to the nearest retailer for re-calibration.
8. Holding the thermometer too long may cause a higher
ambient temperature reading of the probe. This could
make the body temperature measurement lower than
usual. Please try not to touch the thermometer probe
part for avoiding the incorrect reading.
Battery Replacement
1. Open the battery cover: use screwdriver to loosen the
screw on the battery cover.
2. Hold the device and ip the battery out.
3. Insert the new battery down with the correct electri-
cal polarity.
4. Place back the battery cover and tighten the screw
back.
5. Keep the battery & screw away from children.

Introduction
This Rossmax non-contact temple thermometer is
intended for measuring human body temperature;
while is not intended as a substitute for consultation
with your physician. This thermometer has been clini-
cally tested in the hospital based on the regulatory
standard protocol and proven to be safe and accurate
when used in accordance to the operating instruction
manual.
• The quality of the infrared temple thermometer has
been veried and conforms to the provisions of the
EC council directive 93/42/EEC (Medical Device Di-
rective) Annex I essential requirements and applied
harmonized standards. Comply with ASTM E1965-
98(2016).
• This thermometer converts the temple temperature
to display its “oral equivalent.”(according to the result
of the clinical evaluation)

The thermometer has been designed
for practical use. It’s not meant to
replace a visit to the doctor. Please
also remember to compare the meas-
urement result to your regular body
temperature.
Object Mode
The object mode shows the actual,
unadjusted surface temperatures,
which is different from the body tem-
perature. It can help you to measure
any object other than body surface, for
example the baby’s milk.
Fever Alarm
If thermometer detects a body tem-
perature ≥37.5°C(99.5°F) there will be
four beeps sound with flashing reading
to warn the user for potential fever.
How to measure temple temperature
1. Always make sure the probe is clean, and without
damage. Pull out the insulation sheet of battery be-
fore taking temperature for the rst time.
2. Vertically aim the thermometer at the temple with a
distance of less than 5 cm. If the temple is covered
with hair, sweat or dirt, remove the obstacle from the
temple to improve the measuring accuracy.
3. Press the “START” button to take temperature. Meas-
urement is complete when you hear a long beep
sound.
4. Read the recorded temperature from the LCD display.
Switching between Fahrenheit and Celsius
1. Make sure the device is o. (Or you can turn o the
device by pressing and holding the “Memory” button
for 3 seconds.)
2. Press and hold on the“Start“ &“Memory”button at the
same time about 8 seconds until °C or °F appears on
the LCD.
3. Press the “Memory” button to select the desired scale
°C or °F, release the “Memory” button to decide your
desired scale, wait for 6 seconds and the setting will
be conrmed.
How to measure object temperature
No matter the thermometer unit is powered on or o,
for changing the measuring target between the tem-
ple and object, please set the slide switch to the cor-
responding measuring mode or target before the next
measurement. After setting a new measuring target, the
measuring site display icon will also be switched accord-
ingly.
Once aiming at the measured target, press the “START”
button to take temperature. Measurement is complete
when you hear a long beep sound. Read the recorded
temperature from the LCD display.
Note:
1. Pull out the insulation sheet of battery before taking

2. Applications include temperature measurements for
Water, Milk, Cloth, Skin or other object.

Memory function
There are total 9 set memories for measurement records.
If the reading of the thermometers is within the normal
temperature range of 34 °C to 42.2 °C (93.2 °F to 108°F ),
when the measurement is done, the measurement data
is saved into memory.
• Press “ Memory” button to repeatedly recall each tem-
perature memory.
Care and cleaning
1. The probe is the most delicate part of the thermom-
eter. Use with care when cleaning the lens to avoid
damage.
2. After the measurement, please use the cotton swab
with the Alcohol (70% concentration) to clean the in-
side of the probe, including lens and metal parts.
3. Allow the probe to fully dry for at least 5 minutes.
4. Storage temperature range: It should be stored at
room temperature between -25~+55°C, (-13°F~131°F)
RH=<85%
5. Keep the unit dry and away from any liquids and direct
sunlight.
6. The probe should not be submerged into liquids.
7. Please check the device if damaged once it falls. If you
can’t make sure of it, please send the complete device
to the nearest retailer for re-calibration.
8. Holding the thermometer too long may cause a higher
ambient temperature reading of the probe. This could
make the body temperature measurement lower than
usual. Please try not to touch the thermometer probe
part for avoiding the incorrect reading.
Battery Replacement
1. Open the battery cover: use screwdriver to loosen the
screw on the battery cover.
2. Hold the device and ip the battery out.
3. Insert the new battery down with the correct electri-
cal polarity.
4. Place back the battery cover and tighten the screw
back.
5. Keep the battery & screw away from children.

with hair, sweat or dirt, remove the obstacle from the
temple to improve the measuring accuracy.
3. Press the “START” button to take temperature. Meas-
urement is complete when you hear a long beep
sound.
4. Read the recorded temperature from the LCD display.
Switching between Fahrenheit and Celsius
1. Make sure the device is o. (Or you can turn o the
device by pressing and holding the “Memory” button
for 3 seconds.)
2. Press and hold on the“Start“ &“Memory”button at the
same time about 8 seconds until °C or °F appears on
the LCD.
3. Press the “Memory” button to select the desired scale
°C or °F, release the “Memory” button to decide your
desired scale, wait for 6 seconds and the setting will
be conrmed.
How to measure object temperature
No matter the thermometer unit is powered on or o,
for changing the measuring target between the tem-
ple and object, please set the slide switch to the cor-
responding measuring mode or target before the next
measurement. After setting a new measuring target, the
measuring site display icon will also be switched accord-
ingly.
Once aiming at the measured target, press the “START”
button to take temperature. Measurement is complete
when you hear a long beep sound. Read the recorded

Care and cleaning
1. The probe is the most delicate part of the thermom-
eter. Use with care when cleaning the lens to avoid
damage.
2. After the measurement, please use the cotton swab
with the Alcohol (70% concentration) to clean the in-
side of the probe, including lens and metal parts.
3. Allow the probe to fully dry for at least 5 minutes.
4. Storage temperature range: It should be stored at
room temperature between -25~+55°C, (-13°F~131°F)

5. Keep the unit dry and away from any liquids and direct
sunlight.
6. The probe should not be submerged into liquids.
7. Please check the device if damaged once it falls. If you
can’t make sure of it, please send the complete device
to the nearest retailer for re-calibration.
8. Holding the thermometer too long may cause a higher
ambient temperature reading of the probe. This could
make the body temperature measurement lower than
usual. Please try not to touch the thermometer probe
part for avoiding the incorrect reading.
Battery Replacement
1. Open the battery cover: use screwdriver to loosen the
screw on the battery cover.
2. Hold the device and ip the battery out.
3. Insert the new battery down with the correct electri-
cal polarity.
4. Place back the battery cover and tighten the screw
back.
5. Keep the battery & screw away from children.

Introduction
This Rossmax non-contact temple thermometer is
intended for measuring human body temperature;
while is not intended as a substitute for consultation
with your physician. This thermometer has been clini-
cally tested in the hospital based on the regulatory
standard protocol and proven to be safe and accurate
when used in accordance to the operating instruction
manual.
• The quality of the infrared temple thermometer has
been veried and conforms to the provisions of the
EC council directive 93/42/EEC (Medical Device Di-
rective) Annex I essential requirements and applied
harmonized standards. Comply with ASTM E1965-
98(2016).
• This thermometer converts the temple temperature
to display its “oral equivalent.”(according to the result
of the clinical evaluation)
Please read the instruction manual carefully be-
fore using the product and be sure to keep this
manual.
Function
Temple
Temperature
The thermometer has been designed
for practical use. It’s not meant to
replace a visit to the doctor. Please
also remember to compare the meas-
urement result to your regular body
temperature.
Object Mode
The object mode shows the actual,
unadjusted surface temperatures,
which is different from the body tem-
perature. It can help you to measure
any object other than body surface, for
example the baby’s milk.
Fever Alarm
If thermometer detects a body tem-
perature ≥37.5°C(99.5°F) there will be
four beeps sound with flashing reading
to warn the user for potential fever.
How to measure temple temperature
1. Always make sure the probe is clean, and without
damage. Pull out the insulation sheet of battery be-
fore taking temperature for the rst time.
2. Vertically aim the thermometer at the temple with a
distance of less than 5 cm. If the temple is covered
with hair, sweat or dirt, remove the obstacle from the
temple to improve the measuring accuracy.
3. Press the “START” button to take temperature. Meas-
urement is complete when you hear a long beep

1. Only use the device once you have read and under-
stood these instructions for use. Keep the instruction
manual for use.
2. The thermometer and patient needs to stay in the
room in which the measurement is taken for at least
30 minutes before use.
3. It is recommend that you always take the tempera-
ture in the same location, since temperature read-
ings may vary according to the locations.
4. It is recommended that three temperatures are tak-
en and the highest one taken as the reading if:
a) New born infants
b) Children with a compromised immune system
and for whom the presence or absence of fever
is critical.
c) When the user is learning how to use the ther-
mometer for the rst time until he/she has famil-
iarized himself/herself with the instrument and
obtains consistent readings.
d) The reading is extremely low.
5. Do not take a measurement while drinking, eating,
sweating or exercising.
6. Do not take measurement while or immediately after
nursing.
7. Children is not allowed to use the device. Medical
products are not toys.
8. Inuences on body temperature
a) A person’s individual metabolism
b) Age: Greater temperature uctuations occur faster
and more often in children. Normal body temper-
ature decreases with age.
c) Clothing
d) Outside temperature
e) Time of day: Body temperature is lower in the
morning and increases throughout the day to-
wards evening.
f) Activities: Physical and, to a lesser extent, mental
activities increase body temperature.
9. This device is not shock-protected. Do not drop or
expose to heavy shock this device.
10. Do not bend the device.
11. Do not disassemble or make modications the de-
vice.
12. Please do not dispose of the product in the house-
hold waste at the end of its useful life. Disposal can
take place at your local retailer or at appropriate col-
lection points provided in your country.

14. Do not use the device if it operates irregularly or any
error massage showed.
15. Do not use thinner or benzene to clean the device.

30 minutes before use.

degradation of the performance of this device could result.
