Mini infrared multi-sensor

•Body: Ø32 x 32mm (rear connector height included)
•Visible face: Ø40 x 8mm (lens height included)
Overview
The multi-sensor, in a small device, combines:
- an infrared receiver
- a presence detector
- a light intensity sensor (Lux level)
- a temperature sensor
The MS2 is connected to the controller with a digital RJ9 link. It
receives orders emitted by a remote control.
Mounting Instructions
•The multi-sensor is directly connected to the controller with a digital RJ9 link (50m maximum).
•This is a single channel accessory (one multi-sensor per RJ9 input).
•The multi-sensor has to be recessed:
- Into a suspended ceiling (Ø32mm) fixed by a supplied rear spring (see figure 1).
OR
- On a concrete ceiling (Ø63 mm) fixed into a recessed box with a decorative cap for support (not supplied) –see figure
2 –or wall-mounted (please contact us).
•The multi-sensor has to be placed in the middle of the room to get an accurate presence detection and Lux measure.
•Detection field adapted to rectangular rooms of 7 x 5.5 x 2.5 m (L x W x H). See the following figures.
Do not install onto a direct sunlight source.
Do not install close to an airflow (fan coil unit, air extraction, etc.).

Multi-Sensor Configuration
This document provides operation information to help you configure your multi-sensor.
Infrared multi-sensor pairing
This section indicates how to initiate the communication between the infrared remote control and its receiver through the attribution
of a zone address. This zone address must be set between 0 and 30 and must also be configured in the controller (please refer to
the controller’s documentation for more information).
It is recommended to assign an address zone different from 0 to avoid disturbances from light interference with lighting,
especially neons, on infrared frames.
The remote control is set for zone 0 by default (universal address): it can communicate with all receivers with no relation to the zone
set in the controller.
Associating an EC-Remote toa particular controller allows managing working areas indifferentiated ways, in case of openplanoffices
for example.
A common zone address must be set in order to associate an infrared receiver to a remote control:

1. Press simultaneously for 3 seconds.
2. Select the zone address of the receiver using and .
3. Press any key (except or ) to validate.
Presence detection sensitivity
The multi-sensor sensitivity can be configured with a value ranging from 1 to 8 (1 = very sensitive, 8 = less sensitive).
A lower sensitivity can avoid detections due to air flows or other disturbances. The optimum value to avoid disturbances and to
optimize the presence detection is typically 3.
The user can adjust the sensitivity by using the infrared programming remote control (TCND-I-PR) without opening or removing the
multi-sensor.
With the remote control, the multi-sensor sensitivity can be adjusted from level 1 to 5. For an effective detection configuration, levels
from 6 to 8 are changed by controller settings.

Light measurement
Once the MS2 is installed, a Lux level measure correction can be required (using a Luxmeter).
This correction applies a coefficient to compensate for any disturbance and the general layout of the room (room and furniture color,
partitions of open office areas, etc.).

Sight range
Infrared technology:
Sight range depends on remote control positioning, orientation and on potential disturbances (sunlight, light…).
