1. Safety Precautions
ATTENTION
When using this money counter, basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury
to persons, including the following:
1. To avoid the risks of damaging the device or causing injury to
users, install the counter on a flat steady surface.
2. Always switch the counter off and unplug the power cable after
you have finished working with it
3. To clean the sensors (feeding sensor, stacker sensor and counting
sensors) use a soft cloth or a brush.
4. If any failures or crashes occur, contact the technical support
service.
5. To avoid display malfunctions, turn the counter on after 5 seconds
from the moment of its last shutdown.

2. Purpose of the currency counter
DoCash 3040 series curr ency counters ar e designed for counting
banknotes of various currencies. They are reliable and easy to use.
3. Declaration of conformity
The counter conforms to the following safety requirements:
General - GOST IEC 60950-1-2011,
Electromagnetic compatibility - GOST R 51318.22-2006.
TR TS 004/2011 «Low-voltage equipment safety»;
TR TS 020/2011 «Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means».
This manual contains information that is actual for the moment of
publishing, and might not contain later changes.
The manufacturer maintains the right to change machine’s

5. General instruction
This model is developed using modern knowledge and technologies in
the filed of cash handling. Its compact and stylish design is as
remarkable as its integrated electronics and multifunction capabilities.
This counter employs many new function detection methods. Being
improved in many aspects of internal structure, this hi-tech compact
counting machine is easy to operate and repair. It is sturdy and utterly
reliable and suitable for all kinds of banking industry and store
department.

6. Control panel introduction
“BAT” button: pr ess this button to tur n on/off the BATCH
function.
“DD” button: pr ess this button to tur n on/off the DD detection.
DD detection can sort the notes whose width is more than 5mm
different from first note counted.
“A/M” button: pr ess this button to choose MANUAL or AUTO
counting mode.
“ADD” button: press this button to tur n on/off the ADD function.
“IR” button: pr ess this button to turn on/off the IR detection.
“CF” button: pr ess this button to tur n on/off the UV and/or MG
detection.
“VAL” button: pr ess this button to enter denomination
calculation mode. Keep pressing this button to exit the mode.
Meanwhile you can press ADD button to add up the total value.
“START” button: pr ess this button to clear the counting number.
7. Machine start
Connect the power cord to the machine (power outlet), then plug it to
power source and turn the switch on; the unit will conduct a self-
check by spanning the feeding roller while the MG and/or UV
functions will be automatically turned on by default. The counter
display will show «0» when the unit is ready <the machine is in its
normal working condition>.

To avoid wrong detecting, please check and take out the banknotes
before counting which are as following:
1. Mended notes with paper
2. Washed notes
3. Very dirty notes
4. Damaged notes
8. Correct feeding of banknotes
Banknotes need to be put orderly and placed between the counting
guides, please refer to the following pictures:
9. Functions introduction
Counting function
Once the banknotes are correctly placed in the hopper plate, the
machine will start counting automatically. The number of counted
banknotes will be shown on the counter display. If count again, the
counter display will clear and the batch display in turn will show the
number of last counted banknotes instead.

UV (Ultraviolet) detection function
The UV detection function is selected or deselected by pressing the
CF button in the function console. The UV function is able to check
all types of banknotes which contain UV features.
MG (Magnetic) detection function
The MG detection function is selected or deselected by pressing the
CF button in the function console. The MG function is able to check
all types of banknotes which contain MG features.
IR (Infrared) detection function
IR detection function is selected or deselected by pressing the IR
button in the function console. The IR detection is used to detect
double-note.
DD detection function
The DD detection function is selected or deselected by pressing the
DD button in the function console. The DD detection is used to detect
the banknote with different width.
Total value calculation function
Total value calculation function is selected or deselected by pressing
the VAL button in the function console. Keep pressing VAL button
for 3 seconds to exit this function.
Through this function, the user need press VAL button to choose
denomination manually. Under calculation function, the user can turn
on ADD function if want to count many denominations, so user can
press VAL button to choose denomination accordingly and the total
value will not clear.
In this case, the next banknotes placed in the hopper will be counted
and added to the previous total value.

Automatic or Manual start mode function
Automatic Start Mode: The machine begins counting
automatically when banknotes are placed in the hopper.
Manual Start Mode: Pr ess “START” button to star t counting
after banknotes are placed in the hopper.
Batch function
The batch function can be activated by pressing BAT button. The
batch number will be shown on batch display.
Under the batch counting mode, once the hopper is loaded, the
machine will start counting and will stop when the counted quantity
reaches the preset batch quantity.
To repeat the batch counting operation under the same preset batch
quantity, just remove the counted banknotes from the stacker. The
machine will batch the next group of banknotes under the same
settings.
If you wish to keep batching without removing the banknotes from the
stacker, press the “START” button.
Add function
Add function can be performed by pressing the "ADD" button
(indicator must light up). In this case, the next banknotes placed in the
hopper will be counted and added to the previous counted quantity.
The total amount of added banknotes will be shown on the counter
screen. To close the function, press the "ADD" button (the indicator
must be OFF).
Half-note detection, chained-note detection, double-note
detection functions are automatically turned on by default when
the machine is powered up.
When counting with MG and/or UV detection on, the machine will
stop automatically when detecting counterfeit currency. This function
can be resumed by removing the dubious bill from the stacker and
pressing «START» button

10. Common troubles and solution
Before repair, please check the problems as below:

11. Error codes and solution
The display may show error code when counting, which means there
is problem with the machine. Refer to the following sheet to find way
to solve it.
Generally speaking, most of the above-mentioned problems may be
caused by dust or dirt inside of the machine.
So keeping the machine clean is highly recommended.

E 10 UV Take away the suspicious note. Press
“START” to continue.
E7*/E6*/
E5* MG Take away the suspicious note. Press
“START” to continue.
EC0 Double-note Take away the suspicious note. Press
“START” to continue.
E80 Chain note Take away the suspicious note. Press
“START” to continue.
E41 Half-note Take away the suspicious note. Press
“START” to continue.
E82 Different width note Take away the suspicious note. Press
“START” to continue.
CE1 UV Clean the sensor or replace it.
CE2 Code disc sensor or
big motor Replace the sensor or big motor.
CE3 Left counting sensor Clean the sensor or replace it.
CE4 Right counting sensor Clean the sensor or replace it.
CE5 Hopper sensor Clean the sensor or replace it.
CE7 MG sensor Replace the MG sensor.
CE8 Stacker sensor Clean the sensor or replace it.

12. Feeding adjustment
When banknote feeding is unsmooth or banknote counting is
inaccurate, it can be solved through adjusting the vertical adjusting
screw as well as the gap between resistance rubber and rubber wheel.
Then you can put in a banknote and hold, if you feel the pull, the
machine is workable.
Turn it clockwise to decrease gap in order to add friction (tight).
Turn it anticlockwise to increase gap in order to reduce friction
(loose).
13. Maintenance
Do not operate the unit in areas with high temperature or high
humidity since it may cause the machine refuse to work or prevent it
from counting accurately.
Unplug the power plug from the wall outlet if the machine will not be
used for an extended period of time.
Never operate the unit under strong light.
Clean the machine frequently after switching off and unplugging of
the machine.
Do not use this product in areas where it may be exposed to water or
other liquids.
Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use
liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaner. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.

15. Transportation and storage
During counter transportation allowable temperature is from – 30 to +
50 °С. Counter storage is allowed only in heated rooms at the
temperature from +1 to + 40 °С providing that relative air humidity is
up to 80% (at 25 °С).
The counter shelf life is 2 years.
16. Warranty
The warranty period is 12 months from the day of delivery subject to
compliance with the conditions of use and storage indicated in this
Manual and additional conditions specified in the Warranty Coupon.
Manufacturer shall be released from any obligation for the counter
malfunction resulting from improper transportation, storage and use,
as well as from mechanical failure.

1. Меры предосторожности
ВНИМАНИЕ
Перед началом эксплуатации прибора, пожалуйста, внимательно
прочитайте настоящее руководство
1. Чтобы обеспечить сохранность устройства и безопасность
пользователя, устанавливайте счетчик на ровную надежную
поверхность.
2. При завершении работы всегда выключайте устройство и
извлекайте кабель питания.
3. Для очистки датчиков (датчиков слистывателя, датчиков
приемного кармана и датчиков пересчета) используйте
мягкую ткань или щетку.
4. При возникновении неисправностей или поломок, обратитесь
в службу технической поддержки.
5. Включайте устройство не менее чем через пять секунд с
момента последнего выключения, чтобы избежать неполадок
дисплея.
