1. Safety Precautions
ATTENTION
Please read this manual carefully before you start to operate the
device.

 Read and understand all of the instructions and
warnings both on the machine and in the manual.
 Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the
unit.
 This product should be operated only from the type
of the power source indicated in the user's guide. If
you are not sure of the type of power supply in your
location, consult your dealer or local power
company.
 Only use the cable provided with the unit. The use of
other cable may result in electric shock, fire or cause
serious damage to the unit.
 Never push objects of any kind into the unit through
case slots, since they may touch dangerous voltage
points or shortcut parts, resulting in a risk of fire or
electric shock.

The information about available notes can be provided by the
manufacturer.

 Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer
servicing to qualified service personnel under the
following conditions:
a. When the power supply cord or plug is damaged or
frayed.
b. If the liquid has been spilled into the unit.
c. If the unit has been exposed to rain or water.
d. If the machine has been dropped or the case has
been damaged.
e. If the product shows a noticeable change in
performance.
 To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
disassemble this product. Take it to qualified service
personnel when service or repair work is required.
Opening or removing covers may expose you to
dangerous voltages or other risks. Incorrect
reassembly can cause electric shock when the
appliance is subsequently used.
 Do not use the unit if the power cord is damaged or
if the plug socket contact is loose. Not following
these instructions may result in electric shock , fire
or other hazards.
 When unplugging the power plug, do not pull it by
the cord but rather grip the plug and pull it out, not
following those instruction may result in electric
shock, fire or damage to the unit.

Purpose
DoCash DC-45V series currency counters are designed for

main machine-readable security feature.

Electromagnetic compatibility - GOST R 51318.22-2006.
This manual contains information that is actual for the moment of
publishing, and may not contain the latest changes.
The manufacturer may change machine’s specifications and
control algorithms.

3. Control panel
 Press to switch currencies.
 Press to set batch parameter.
 Press to increase batch parameter by 1or 10.
 Press to print the report.
 Press to switch the counting mode (MIX-COUNT-
SORT-FACE-ORIENT).
 Press to switch on and off the accumulative counting
procedure.
 Press to see the counting results and errors report.
 Press to enter the user menu.
 Press to clear the counting results and switch the Batch
function off.
 Press to start and stop the counting procedure. (START,
STOP, OK)

4. Using the machine
Before starting to work with the machine make sure to follow the
given instructions in order to avoid unwanted errors while
counting procedure.
1. Keep the notes in order.
2. Straighten out the folded notes.
3. Remove the wrinkled notes
4. Remove any unwanted objects from the note pack.
5. Unwrap every folded corner and curves on the notes.
Place the banknote counter on a flat surface, ensure there is no
strong electromagnetic field and strong sunshine interfering
around it. Then plug the electric socket into AC electric source. If
you have purchased an external display, connect it to the RS232
interface on the back of the banknote counter.
CAUTION
In order to ensure personal safety, the electric socket shall be
safety grounded.

Turn on the power switch, the machine will display the software
version first, then perform a self-test.
If the test is successful, the machine will enter into ready state. If
some error messages are displayed on the LCD, please deal with
them according to the troubleshooting in this manual.
LCD-display
LCD-display is used to identify active modes and parameters, as
you can see in the picture below:

Before beginning the counting procedure set the left and right
hopper guides according to the desired note width.
Put the notes into hopper horizontally. During the counting
procedure every suspicious and counterfeit note will be send into
Reject pocket.

User menu
Press “MENU” to enter the user menu, while the machine is On.
To add a new object for user menu press “ADD” or “DISPLAY”.
Speed setting
Select the setting “1:SPEED” and press RESET key to enter the
speed settings. To confirm the selection press RESET key and save
the chosen settings. To exit the menu and return to the working
state of the machine, press MENU key twice.

SPEED 1 - low speed, 800 bpm.
SPEED 2 - medium speed, 1000 bpm.
SPEED 3 - high speed, 1200 bpm.
Serial number detection doesn’t work for medium and high speed
parameters.
CAUTION
Higher speed parameters are available for regular counting mode.
Serial Number identification mode works only on lower speeds.

In user menu interface select 2: SERIAL and press RESET to
enter, then you can turn on/off the serial number identification
function.

Reject pocket capacity
In user menu interface select 3: REJECT POCKET CAPACITY
and press RESET to enter, then you can set the necessary reject
pocket capacity value.
Date time setting
In user menu interface select 4: DATE TIME and press RESET to
enter, then you can set date and time parameters by pressing

5. Setting functions
5.1. Currency selection
After turning on the machine, the symbol of current currency is
displayed. If you need counting/detecting other types of
currencies, press the "CUR" key to change current currency, the
symbol of counted/detected currency will be displayed in turn.
"RUB" means Russian Rubles
"USD" means US Dollar
"EUR" means Euro
etc.
5.2. Detection/counting mode selection
Four counting/detecting modes are supported. These modes are:
MIX, SORT, ORIENT, FACE, COUNT. Press MODE to select
the necessary counting/detecting mode.
“MIX” mode
When you need counting/detecting a pile of banknotes with
different denomination, press the "MODE" key on the control
panel, if "MIX" is displayed on the LCD, the machine will count
the total value.

MIX Mode

After finishing the counting the machine will show total result of
the process:
If the printer is connected to the machine, press PRINT, the report
will be printed.

Sort mode
When you need counting/detecting a pile of banknotes with the
same denomination, select "SORT" mode. The machine will
count notes of a single denomination, which was loaded first. If a
different denomination of banknote is mixed in a pile of
banknotes, it will be rejected.
Face mode
In this mode the machine will sort the notes by face. All the notes
that match the face will end up in stacker, any suspected notes
will be rejected.

Orient mode
In this mode the machine will sort the notes by orientation. Notes
that match the set orientation will end up in stacker, any other note
will be rejected.
Count mode
When you need only counting the pieces of banknotes, press the
"MODE" key on the control panel. If the "COUNT" is displayed on
the LCD, the machine will only count the total pieces without
detections. After the banknote counting is finished, the number
displayed on the LCD is the total pieces that have been counted.
5.3. ADD mode
When you need accumulative counting, press the "ADD" key on
the control panel, if "ADD" is displayed on the LCD, the machine
will count on the basic of the original number displayed on the
LCD. After the banknote counting is finished, the number
displayed on the LCD is the summation of the several times'
counting.

ORIENT mode

When the accumulative pieces reach 9.999+1 or accumulative
value reaches 9.999.999+1, the number will be resumed to 0.
5.4. Batch counting mode
When you need a batch counting, press the BATCH key, if “100”
is displayed on the LCD, it shows the batch function has been
turned on and the batch number is 100. Each time when you press
the BATCH key, “100, 50, 20, 10 and ---" will be displayed in
turn repeatedly.
When "---" is displayed, the batch function is disabled, except
that, you also can press or hold the "+1/+10" key to increase the
batch number by 1 or 10 according to you desire.
The default Batch number is 200. It is automatically set when the
machine is loading and is used to prevent jams.
The batch number can be selected in the range of 1~200. After
setting the batch number, Put the banknotes on the hopper and the
machine will count automatically. While reach the batch number,
the machine will stop automatically.

7. Error messages and solutions
Self-test error message display and solutions
The machine automatically performs a self-test after power on. If
one of the following error messages is displayed on the
LCD,Usually it is because the sensor is blocked by banknotes or
dusts. Please use a brush or a piece of soft cloth to clean the dusts
on the Sensor or remove the banknotes, and then restart the
machine.

so as to avoid strong light source.

Remove the banknote and clear away
the dusts.

Rotate speed sensor Clean the code wheel and sensor, or
replace the rubber-belt.
Reject pocket full Clear the pocket and continue counting.
TOP COVER OPEN Remove the banknote and clear away
the dust.
BACK DRAWER OPEN In case of jamming remove all the
jammed notes, close the back drawer.
JAM!
REMOVE ALL NOTES!
THEN PRESS RESET KEY!
Jammed banknotes, please open the top
cover and back drawer to remove the
banknotes, and then press the RESET

Detection errors
If the following error message is displayed on the LCD during the
course of counting, you can deal with them as per the following
solutions after the machine is stopped.

Causes and solutions
Slant Note Banknote tilt, press "RESET/ENTER"
to continue counting. Adjust the
adjusting screw toward the clockwise
direction.
Chained notes
Double notes
Some banknotes are connected or
overlapped，put the banknotes on the
banknote stacker back to the banknote
hopper to count again. If it is often
displayed, adjust the adjusting screw
toward the counter-clockwise
direction.
Incomplete notes Half piece or incomplete banknote.
Remove it and press "RESET/
ENTER" to continue counting.
