Screw the Dräger X-plore Rd40 filter into the
mask body.
Open straps as far as possible. Direct the mask
towards the face.

Fit harness over the head until the mask is in
position.

Tighten straps until the mask fits snug and
secure. First tighen both neck straps, ...
... tighten front strap if necessary. Negative pressure test: Seal respiratory filters
with your palm and breathe in until a negative
pressure (suction) is generated. Hold your
breath for a mo-ment. The negative pressure
should be maintained. If not, readjust the face
piece and adjust the straps. Repeat test until a
successful for check is met.
Preparation and filter attachment Donning the mask
Warning: Beards in the sealing area of the mask can
cause leaks. Always make sure the mask forms a tight
seal and the filter is attached prior to entering a
hazardous atmosphere.
This poster is not a replacement for reading and under-
standing the instructions for use for the subject mask
and respective filter cartridge, both of which must be
read before using either item! Failure to do so could
result in sickness or death!
