• On the opposite sides of your

head, because the eects of

brain stimulation are unknown.

• To your head, face, the front and

sides of your neck, your throat, or

on both sides of your thorax.

• To stimulate the carotid sinus

nerves, particularly in patients

with a known sensitivity to the

carotid sinus reﬂex.

• To stimulate your front neck

or mouth, because this could

cause severe muscle spasms

resulting in closure of your airway,

diculty in breathing, or adverse

eects on heart rhythm or blood

pressure.

• Across your chest because this

may cause cardiac arrhythmias.

• On open wounds, rashes,

swollen, red, infected or inﬂamed

areas or skin eruptions or on top

of or close to cancerous lesions.

• If you experience any skin

irritation or redness after using,

stop stimulation in that speciﬁc

area until the skin returns to

normal.

by the manufacturer. The use of

unauthorized accessories may

cause damage to the device or

danger to the user.

• Do not use the device in areas

of high humidity, such as the

bathroom or in the shower, as this

may damage it.

• Ensure that metallic items with

conductive capabilities, such as

necklaces, belts and rings, are

kept away from the electrodes

during treatment.

• If using rechargeable 1.5 V

batteries, make sure you use a

CE approved battery charger.

Never connect the device directly

to a battery charger or to other

powered equipment.

• Do not use the device in the

presence of a ﬂammable

anesthetic gas mixture,

compressed oxygen or nitrous

oxide.

• If the Pain Therapy Device is not

functioning properly, you should

stop using it.

• Only use the device for its

intended purpose.

• Do not use the device while

wearing other electronic devices,

• People who have lost their mental

capacity.

• Pregnant women, because it is

not yet known whether it is safe

BODY PADS

• Apply pads to normal, healthy,

dry, clean skin only.

• If you wish to move the pads to

another location of your body

during treatment, turn the device

o ﬁrst, then re-move the pads

and resume treatment.

• Do not bend or fold the pads,

as this may cause the pads to

malfunction.

• Always store the pads on the

transparent protective ﬁlm when

not in use.

• Do not apply any solvent or any

other liquids (except conductive

gel or water) to the pads or to

your skin because these will cau-

se the pads not to stick and to

malfunction. The pads are pre-

gelled and will adhere to your

skin when moist.

• Always apply a few sprays of

the prescribing practitioner.

• Do not share electrode pads with

anyone else because this may

cause skin irritation or infection.

People should have their own set

of pads for personal use.

IMPORTANT:

Both of the pads in a set must

be placed on the body at the

same time in order to work.

Make sure the pads are not

touching each other because

otherwise no impulses will be

felt.

Stop using the pads if the individual

packaging has been open for more

than three months, or if the pads

lose their adhesiveness. You could

buy new sets of pads via your

supplier.

PRECAUTIONS  WIRES

• Do not bend or pull the end of

the wires.

• Replace wires when broken or

damaged.

• Long wires have the potential

to strangulate. Be careful when

using these in the neck and

shoulder areas.

• Make sure the wires are properly

plugged into the Pain Therapy

Device and, when using the pads,

that the pads are stuck tightly

onto the skin area you wish to

treat to ensure eective therapy.

NOTE:

Do not treat one area for extended

periods of time (more than 40

minutes per session, up to 3 times

per day) because your muscles in

that region may become exhausted

and sore.

Only use the original electrode

pads, gel and wires supplied by

the manufacturer because other

electrode pads and wires may not

be electrically compatible with your

device.

INFORMATION ON INTENDED USE

The Pain Therapy Device (Model

P.T.SIIB) is a new generation of house-

hold multifunctional device based on

physics, modern microelectronics and

clinical practices. It can stimulate heal-

thy muscles and increase local blood

circulation in order to improve and

facilitate muscle performance, and

relieve the pain associated with sore

and aching muscles in the waist, upper

and lower back, back of the neck,

upper extremities (shoulder and arm),

lower extremities (leg) due to strain

from exercises, work or normal house-

hold work activities by applying current

to stimulate nerves.

DR-HO’S Neck Pain Pro and its body

pads are intended to relieve pain as-

sociated with sore or aching muscles

due to strain from exercise or ADLs

(activities of daily living), principally

regular household and work activities.

This product is certiﬁed as medical

device in the European Union under

the Medical Device Directive 93/42/

EEC by SGS CE1639, exclusively for

the indication(s) of relief of pain asso-

ciated with sore or aching muscles.

Other non-medical uses escribed to

this device are not within the scope of

CE certiﬁcation.

Users should be aware product per-

formance and/or safety has not been

evaluated by SGS for non-medical

purposes.

How do I personalize the therapy? You select program and intensity yourself.

How long should I use the device

and how often?

Each session should last 30 to 40 minutes. No more than 3

sessions per day.

When should I stop using it? When the pain has subsided or stopped, if treatment is

uncomfortable, in the event of an adverse reaction, and if

the condition worsens.

Note: many people experience

immediate relief while others require

regular use to feel the beneﬁts. The

results vary and will depend on your

underlying conditions and how often

you use the device. If your pain does

not subside, you can try increasing

the intensity or you can change the

program.

BATTERIES

Please refer to the

Insert 2 AAA batteries before use:

1. Remove the battery cover on the

back.

2. Insert batteries correctly so that the

markings correspond.

3. Reﬁt the battery cover.

Important Notes

Low battery power will cause the

device to lose its eectiveness. Please

change to new batteries whenever

stimulation weakens.

If the indicator lights fade, or if the

stimulation feels weak on your skin,

this may be an indication of low battery

power.

WARNING!

Replace only with the same or equiva-

lent type of batteries, as recommended

by the manufacturer.

Do not dispose of the batteries with

normal household waste, but hand

them in at an ocial collection point in

accordance with local regulations go-

verning the disposal of such materials.

Remove the batteries to prevent them

from running down whenever you are

planning to store the device for more

than 3 months.

If the device is used once a day for

about 30 minutes per treatment, one

pair of AAA Alkaline batteries should

last 3 to 6 months.

We recommend the use of Alkaline

batteries because they provide a

steady power level until it runs out.

Non-Alkaline and rechargeable batte-

ries have a tendency to decrease in

power level over time, and you might

mistakenly think the device is not wor-

king right because the treatment is not

as strong.

ELECTRODE PAD GUIDELINES

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

• Wash skin thoroughly and then dry

it before applying the electrode

body pads.

• Apply the whole surface of the elec-

trode pads ﬁrmly to the skin.

• Do not use electrode pads that do

not stick properly to the skin, or

only partially stick to the skin.

• If the skin looks red after treatment,

you should not treat that area until

the redness has disappeared.

• The electrode pads can be re-used

30 to 50 times depending on your

skin type and other conditions.

Whenever you notice that the pads

are not sticking properly to your

skin, or if the pads feel dry, you

to wipe the surface.

• Do not use volatile liquids such as

alcohol, thinner or gasoline.

• Keep well away from moisture, high

temperatures, direct sunlight or

water droplets.

• Please do not disassemble, repair

or rebuild the device yourself

because this will invalidate the

warranty.

• Remove the batteries from the

device if it is not used for more than

3 months.

Therapy Conductive Gel using the

spray bottle (do not wash them with

water directly). This will help restore

the adhesiveness and conductivity

of the electrode pads. If moiste-

ning the pads fails to make them

sticky again, they may need to be

replaced.

Electrode body pads:

• Keep the electrode pads clean

and never expose them to high

temperature and direct sunshine.

• Keep the electrode pads at

temperatures of 5~40°C.

• Gently clean the electrode pads

with a moist cloth or use a brush to

remove dust.

• Do not clean the pads with hot

water or chemicals.

• Do not touch the gel of the pads

with your ﬁngers, as this could

reduce their adhesiveness.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Attach the 2 pads ﬁrmly to the

skin to ensure full contact.

The surface of the pads is

worn out.

Replace the set of pads.

Three yellow lights on the Pain

Therapy Device are ﬂashing

and you cannot feel any

stimulation.

One of the pads has become

disconnected from your skin or

a wire is unplugged.

Reconnect the body pads to

your skin or reconnect the

GEBRUIK DE LICHAAMSPADS NIET

• Aan de zijkanten van het hoofd,

aangezien niet bekend is welk

eect elektrostimulatie op de

hersenen heeft.

• Op uw hoofd, gezicht, hals en keel

of tegelijkertijd op beide zijden van

de borstkas.

• Voor het stimuleren van zenuwen

rond de halsslagader, van de

spierspasmes met luchtwegafslui-

ting, ademhalingsmoeilijkheden,

hartritmestoornissen of een hoge

bloeddruk.

• Op uw borst, omdat elektrische

stimulans van de hartspier kan

leiden tot hartritmestoornissen.

• Op open wonden, huiduitslag,

gezwollen, rode, geïnfecteerde of

ontstoken huid, huiderupties en op

of nabij tumoren.

• Krijgt u tijdens of na het gebruik last

van huidirritatie of -uitslag, staak de

behandeling en zodra de huid er

weer normaal uitziet mag u

behandelingen voortzetten.

PRO NEKKUSSEN

• Ervaart u tijdens de behandeling

ongemak of abnormale

symptomen, stop dan met het

gebruik en raadpleeg een arts

voordat u behandeling hervat.

• Ondervindt u problemen bij de

conﬁguratie, het onderhoud of

gebruik van dit apparaat, neem dan

contact op met de klantenservice.

Meld eventuele onverwachte

ervaringen of gebeurtenissen.

• Repareer het apparaat nooit zelf.

• Houd het apparaat buiten het

bereik van baby’s, kinderen of

dieren, omdat het inslikken van

kleine onderdelen gevaarlijk is en

fataal kan zijn.

• Gebruik alleen door de

fabrikant geproduceerde of

goedgekeurde accessoires.

Niet-goedgekeurde accessoires

kunnen het apparaat beschadigen

en de gebruiker in gevaar brengen.

• Gebruik het apparaat niet op

plaatsen met een hoge

luchtvochtigheid, zoals in de

badkamer of douche.

• Houd metalen elementen die

geleidend zijn, zoals halskettingen,

riemen, ringen, uit de buurt van de

elektroden tijdens de behandeling.

• Gebruikt u oplaadbare batterijen

van 1,5V dan moet u ook een

CE-goedgekeurde batterijlader

gebruiken. Sluit het apparaat nooit

rechtstreeks aan op een

batterijlader of ander elektrisch

apparaat.

• Gebruik het apparaat niet in

aanwezigheid van een mengsel

van ontvlambare gassen, zuurstof

of stikstofmonoxide.

• Beëindig de behandeling als het

apparaat niet goed werkt of als u

ongemak ervaart.

• Gebruik het apparaat alleen

waarvoor het is bedoeld.

• Gebruik het apparaat niet in de

buurt van een mobiele telefoon,

omdat dit de werking van het

bedieningsconsole kan verstoren.

• Gooi batterijen nooit in vuur om

ontplongsgevaar te voorkomen.

• Afvoer van het apparaat, de

batterijen en andere onderdelen

dient volgens de wettelijke

voorschriften te gebeuren; illegale

afvoer kan milieuvervuiling

veroorzaken.

VOORZORGSMAATREGELEN

LICHAAMSPADS

• Breng de elektrodepads uitsluitend

aan op een normale, gezonde,

droge en schone huid. Breng ze

niet aan op wonden of

beschadigde huid, want dit zou het

genezingsproces kunnen

verstoren.

• Als u tijdens een behandeling de

elektrodepads naar een ander deel

van uw lichaam wilt verplaatsen, zet

het apparaat dan eerst uit,

verplaats de pads en zet de

behandeling voort.

• Buig of plooi de elektrodepads niet,

want dit kan de geleiding verstoren.

• Bewaar de elektrodepads op het

transparante beschermfolie als u ze

niet gebruikt.

• Zorg dat er géén crème of andere

middelen op de pads of op uw huid

zitten; dit zal het plakvermogen én

de werking van de pads negatief

beïnvloeden. De elektrodepads zijn

van een gellaag voorzien om goed

op de huid aan te sluiten als deze

vochtig is.

• Als de pads droog aanvoelen,

breng dan enig DR-HO’S Electro

Therapy Conductive Gel aan, zodat

de pads een comfortabele,

krachtige en eectieve

behandeling bieden.

• Gelijktijdig gebruik van het

bedieningsconsole én aansluiting

op hoogfrequente, chirurgische

apparatuur kan brandwonden op

de locatie van de elektrodepads

veroorzaken en het

bedieningsconsole beschadigen.

• De elektrodepads mogen elkaar

niet raken bij behandelingen op het

lichaam.

• Verwijder de elektrodepads direct

na gebruik van uw huid.

• Volg de aanwijzingen van uw arts

met betrekking tot het plaatsen van

de elektrodepads en de intensiteit

van de behandelingen.

• Elektrodepads zijn bedoeld voor

persoonlijk gebruik, om huidirritatie

en besmetting te voorkomen. Ieder

persoon dient altijd zijn eigen

elektrodepads te gebruiken.

BELANGRIJK

Beide elektrodepads van één set

dienen tegelijkertijd op het lichaam te

worden geplaatst. Alleen dan zal het

apparaat functioneren. Let erop dat

de elektrodepads elkaar niet raken.

Als dat toch het geval is, voelt u geen

pulsen.

Stop het gebruik van de lichaams-

pads als de verpakking langer dan 3

maanden geopend is geweest of als

de elektrodepads hun plakvermogen

hebben verloren. U kunt nieuwe sets

elektrodepads aanschaen via de

website van uw leverancier.

• Voor een doeltreende

behandeling is het belangrijk dat

de stekker correct in het bedienings-

console zit, de snoeren verbonden

zijn en de elektrodepads goed op

de huid van het te behandelen

LET OP:

Behandel een gebied niet langer dan

40 minuten per keer en maximaal 3x

per dag om vermoeidheid, pijn of

huidirritatie te vermijden.

Gebruik uitsluitend originele snoeren,

gel en elektrodepads, zoals worden

aanbevolen door Dr. Ho. Andere

elektrodepads en snoeren zijn niet

geschikt voor het DR-HO’S Neck Pain

Pro systeem.

EVENTUELE BIJWERKINGEN

U kunt huidirritatie of

overgevoeligheid ervaren

1. tijdens de behandeling;

2. door het gebruik van geleidende

gel;

3. onder de elektrodepads die u op

de huid heeft aangebracht.

Stop in bovenstaande situaties met

het gebruik en raadpleeg uw arts.

Het stimuleert de spieren en

bloedcirculatie om spierprestaties

te verbeteren en geeft tijdelijk

pijnverlichting in de boven- en

onderrug, achterkant van de nek,

bovenste ledematen (schouders en

arm), onderste ledematen (benen en

voeten) als gevolg van inspanning

door lichaamsbeweging, overbelasting

of normaal (huishoudelijk) werk. Het

kan tevens chronische pijn en pijnen

die gepaard gaan met artritis en

spanningen verlichten.

Het bedieningsconsole (model

P.T.S-IIB) is in de Europese Unie

door SGS volgens CE1639

gecertiﬁceerd als medisch apparaat,

in overeenstemming met de Europese

richtlijn inzake medische hulpmiddelen

93/42/EEC, uitsluitend voor de

Let op: bij veel mensen vermindert

pijn of spanning vrijwel direct, maar

bij anderen pas na regelmatig

gebruik. De resultaten variëren

en zijn aankelijk van uw fysieke

minder wordt, kunt u een hogere

intensiteit of ander programma

proberen.

BATTERIJEN

Plaats 2 AAA-batterijen vóór

gebruik:

1. Verwijder het batterijklepje aan de

achterkant.

2. Plaats de batterijen zoals

aangegeven.

3. Plaats het batterijklepje terug.

Belangrijke opmerkingen

Als de batterij bijna leeg is, werkt het

apparaat minder goed. Vervang de

batterijen wanneer de werking van

het apparaat minder wordt. U kunt het

beste alkalinebatterijen gebruiken.

Als de lampjes minder fel gaan

branden of het stimuleren minder

eectief aanvoelt, kan dit betekenen

dat de batterijen bijna leeg zijn.

WAARSCHUWING!

Vervang batterijen alleen door

nieuwe batterijen van hetzelfde type,

zoals aanbevolen door de fabrikant:

2 x 1,5 V AAA-alkalinebatteriijen.

Gooi de batterijen niet weg met het

huishoudelijk afval, maar lever ze

in bij een afvalinzamelingslocatie

in overeenstemming met de lokale

regelgeving voor afvalverwerking.

Verwijder de batterijen als u het

apparaat langer dan drie maanden

niet gebruikt, om te voorkomen dat ze

leeglopen.

RICHTLIJNEN VOOR HET GEBRUIK VAN ELEKTRODEPADS

REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD

• Was en droog uw huid voordat u de

elektrodepads aanbrengt.

• Druk het hele oppervlak van de

elektrodepads stevig op de huid.

• Gebruik de elektrodepads niet als ze

niet of slechts gedeeltelijk op de huid

blijven zitten.

• Als uw huid rood is na de behande-

ling, mag u het gebied pas weer

behandelen als de roodheid is

weggetrokken.

• U kunt de elektrodepads 30 tot 50

keer gebruiken, aankelijk van onder

andere uw huidtype. Als u merkt dat

de pads niet meer goed op de huid

blijven plakken of droog aanvoelen,

kunt u ze met de sprayﬂacon met DR-

HO’S Electro Therapy Conductive Gel

bevochtigen.

DR-HO’S Neck Pain Pro en het

bedieningsconsole:

• Gebruik een vochtige doek of

neutraal schoonmaakmiddel om het

oppervlak schoon te vegen.

• Gebruik geen vluchtige vloeistoen

zoals alcohol, thinner of wasbenzine.

• Vermijd vocht, hoge temperaturen,

direct zonlicht en waterdruppels.

• Probeer het apparaat niet zelf uit

elkaar te halen, te repareren of

aan te passen. Hierdoor vervalt de

garantie.

• Verwijder de batterijen uit het

bedieningsconsole als u het langer

dan 3 maanden niet gebruikt.

Door het bevochtigen herstelt u

het vermogen van het zellevende

oppervlak en het geleidingsvermogen

van de elektrodepads. Als de pads

ook na het bevochtigen niet meer

blijven plakken, moeten ze worden

vervangen.

Ga voor het bestellen van vervangende

lichaamspads of de gepatenteerde DR-

HO’S Electro Therapy Conductive Gel

naar de website van uw leverancier.

Elektrode lichaamspads:

• Houd de pads schoon en stel ze

niet bloot aan hoge temperaturen

of direct zonlicht.

• Bewaar de elektrodepads bij een

temperatuur tussen de 5 en 40 °C.

• Maak de pads voorzichtig schoon

met een vochtige doek of borsteltje.

• Gebruik geen heet water of

chemische middelen.

• Raak de gel op de pads niet met uw

vingers aan om te voorkomen dat

ze minder goed gaan plakken.

Uw huid is rood, jeukt of prikt. U bent allergisch voor de

elektrodepads.

Stop met het gebruik van

het apparaat totdat u zeker

weet wat de oorzaak van de

huidirritatie is.

U hebt last van een wondje

aan op een pas geschoren

huid, het gebied rond insec-

tenbeten, schaafplekken, acne

of open wonden.

Het zellevende oppervlak

van de pads is te droog of vuil.

vinger onder een langzaam

stromende kraan.

De behandeling heeft te lang

geduurd.

Gebruik het apparaat niet

langer dan 40 minuten achter

elkaar en maximaal 3 maal

De twee pads zijn niet stevig

of niet volledig op de huid

aangebracht.

Breng de beide pads stevig

aan zodat ze goed contact

maken.

Het oppervlak van de pads is

versleten.

Vervang de pads.

Er knipperen drie gele lampjes

op de bedieningsconsole en u

voelt geen stimulatie.

Een van de pads is losgeko-

men of een van de snoeren

is los.

Breng de pads opnieuw aan

of sluit het snoer opnieuw aan.

Zet de bedieningsconsole uit

en weer aan op het apparaat

opnieuw op te starten.

Er knipperen drie groene

lampjes en u voelt geen

stimulatie.

Het apparaat is automatisch

uitgeschakeld na het verstrij-

ken van de timer.

Draai de knop eerst naar OFF

en vervolgens naar ON.

De batterijen zijn geplaatst,

maar de lampjes branden niet.

Het batterijvak is vuil en de

aansluitpunten zijn geblok-

keerd.

Kijk het batterijvak na en maak

het indien nodig schoon.

De batterijen zijn niet meer vol

of zijn niet op de juiste manier

geplaatst.

Vervang de batterijen of plaats

ze op de juiste manier in het

batterijvak.

Er is een probleem met de

aansluitingen in het batterijvak.

Trek de aansluitingen een

klein beetje naar voren met

een klein tangetje.

De knop is naar OFF en ver-

volgens naar ON gedraaid.

Draai de knop naar OFF en

vervolgens naar ON.

AFVALINZAMELING

niet worden weggegooid met het

raison des eets méconnus de

l’électrostimulation sur le cer-

carotidien, en particulier chez

les personnes ayant une sensi-

bilité connue au réﬂexe du sinus

• Pour stimuler l’avant du cou ou

de la bouche, car cela pourrait

provoquer de graves spasmes

musculaires entraînant la fer-

meture des voies respiratoires,

une détresse respiratoire ou

des eets néfastes sur le rythme

provoquer des arythmies cardia-

• Si vous utilisez des piles rechar-

geables de 1,5V, veillez à utiliser

un chargeur de piles marqué CE.

Ne raccordez jamais directement

l’appareil à un chargeur de bat-

terie ou à un autre équipement

alimenté en courant électrique.

• N’utilisez pas l’appareil en pré-

sence d’un mélange gazeux

• Appliquez les patchs unique-

ment sur une peau normale, sai-

ne, propre et sèche. N’appliquez

pas un patch sur une blessure ou

une peau endommagée, car cela

pourrait aecter le processus de

guérison.

• Si vous souhaitez déplacer les

patchs vers un autre endroit

du corps en cours de séance,

éteignez d’abord l’appareil puis

déplacez les patchs et poursui-

vez la séance.

• Ne pliez pas les patchs car cela

risque d’aecter leur bon foncti-

onnement.

• Lorsque vous ne les utilisez pas,

placez toujours les patchs sur le

ﬁlm protecteur transparent.

• Ne passez aucun solvant ni au-

cun liquide autre que de gel ou

l’eau sur les patchs ou sur votre

peau, car cela peut aecter l’ad-

hérence des patchs et leur fonc-

tionnement correct. Les patchs

sont préenduits de gel adhérant

à la peau lorsqu’il est humide.

• Appliquez toujours quelques

pulvérisations de gel conducteur

sur la surface collante des élec-

trodes chaque fois qu’elles sem-

blent sèches, pour vous assurer

que les coussinets fourniront un

traitement confortable, puissant

et ecace.

• Assurez-vous que le ﬁl est bien

relié à l’appareil, que les ﬁls sont

bien connectés et que les patchs

adhèrent bien à la peau de la

zone à traiter pour obtenir un

résultat ecace.

• La connexion simultanée d’une

vous utilisez des câbles autour

du cou et des épaules.

• Assurez-vous que le cordon des

patchs ou de Neck Pain Pro est

bien relié au cordon principal de

la boîtier de programmation.

NOTE :

Ne traitez pas une région plus de

40 minutes d’alée jusqu’à 3 fois

par jour, car les muscles de cette

région peuvent s’épuiser et deve-

nir douloureux.

Utilisez uniquement les patchs et

gel d’origine fournis par le fabri-

cant ; d’autres peuvent présenter

un risque si leurs caractéristiques

électriques ne sont pas compati-

bles avec l’appareil.

L’appareil de thérapie de la douleur

(Modèle : P.T.S-IIB) est un appareil à

usage domestique de nouvelle généra-

tion issu de la physique, de la microé-

lectronique et des pratiques cliniques

modernes. En stimulant les muscles

(sains), il favorise la circulation sanguine

locale : l’activité et le tonus musculaires

s’améliorent. Il soulage ainsi temporai-

rement les douleurs musculaires et il

peut contribuer à soulager les douleurs

chroniques et incurables et celles dues

à l’arthrite ou à une tension dans la

nuque.

pour le corps sont conçu pour soulager

la douleur associée aux courbatures ou

tensions causées par des activités spor-

tives ou du quotidien, principalement les

activités ménagères et professionnelles

classiques.

Remarque : ce produit est certiﬁé par

SGS CE1639 dans l’Union européenne

comme dispositif médical en vertu du

Règlement 93/42/CEE relatif aux dispo-

sitifs médicaux, exclusivement pour la ou

les indications de soulagement des dou-

leurs musculaires. Les autres utilisations

non médicales de cet appareil ne sont
