Installing Motor
Motor Bracket End
1Remove tape from cardboard tube and the motor bracket spring (See Fig. 3).
2 Thread the motor cable
through the cardboard
tube and cable exit hole
in motor bracket.
(See Fig.3 Detail).
3The rope is pre-assembled in the siderail and turned around a cardboard tube.
Slide the cardboard tube over
the motor and transfer the rope
from cardboard tube to motor.
Remove the
cardboard tube
(see Fig. 4).
4Place the motor
into the motor
bracket and
replace the
motor bracket
spring.
Idler End
1 Remove the screws from the bearingholder (see Fig 5.)
Remove bearingholder and tape from cardboard tube.
2Slide the cardboard tube over the motor and
transfer the rope from cardboard tube to mo-
tor.Remove the cardboard tube.
Please Note:
The idler end will rope placement will
mirror the motor end.
MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE
ROPES ARE NOT CROSSED
3Place the idler end of motor
in the holder. Re-attach the
bearingholder.
You are now ready to install the roller assembly into the topspin siderails.

Caution
1Inspect all boxes to make sure you have received the proper parts.
2Open cartons lengthwise.
3All hardware must be installed level. Shades must be level and square.
4Do not wire motors in parallel without written permission from Draper.
5Please read the following installation guidelines thoroughly and follow
them carefully. Failure to do so may cause product to fall or otherwise
fail, and invalidates warranty.
Mounting Brackets
1Mark the desired location of Mounting Brackets. A maximum
distance of 40" (1014mm) between brackets is recommended.
2Attach Mounting Brackets to the mounting surface.
Please Note: It is the
installers responsibility to
make sure appropriate
fasteners are used for
mounting surface.
3Insert Sliding Bracket
Bolts (1 per bracket) into
the channel on the bottom
of each section of
siderailing (See Fig. 1).
Assembling and Attaching Siderails
The siderails have been marked prior to shipment with a 1or 2.
1 Seperate the sections by number and arrange for assembly.
2Beginning with Group 1, insert Siderail Connecting Plate
(see Fig. 2) into the first section of siderail.

Align the pre-drilled holes and attach provided nuts.
4Slide the next section of siderail over the Connecting Plate,
align the pre-drilled holes and attach the provided nuts.
Continue process until siderail is fully assembled.
5Repeat for the remaining siderail.
6Align the Sliding Bracket Bolts with the pre-drilled holes in the
top of the Mounting Brackets and fasten the provided nuts.

Rope Installation
Once the motor-end of the roller assembly is secured on the siderails, the pre-assembled rope in the siderail can be installed.
1Remove the cover from top of Hem Bar and locate the Square holes on each
2Pull both ends of the rope through the square hole located in between the Hem Bar Rollers.
3Pull the rope through the ropeblock (Fig. at right) with provided special tool.
4Tie the rope securely onto the screw (Fig. at right).
5Pull the rope through the ropeblock as on the drawing with the provided special tool.
6Assemble the ropeblock into the square hole.
7Repeat on the opposite side
8Assemble the spring between the two ropes and pull some tension on the spring.
a. Check if the rope is on the ride position on the rollers and the disks at both ends of the siderails.
b. Before straining the springs, place the sections into the final position on the siderail
and bolt the last tube.
c. Then stretch the spring till the length of 50cm and make a knot.
d. Adjust the motors (see motor manual) and test.
e. Check the spring length of 50cm and close the first profile.
9The TopSpin system is now ready to use.
Installing Roller Assembly
The TopSpin roller assembly is shipped pre-loaded on the assembly assistant and is held secure with plastic wrap.
DO NOT REMOVE PLASTIC WRAP UNTIL ROLLER ASSEMBLY IS INSTALLED IN SIDERAILS.
1Insert the loading plates into the assembly assistant
railing and hand-tighten in place (see fig. 6).
2 Align assembly assist rails with topspin siderails
and insert loading plates and hand tighten
(see fig. 7).
3Push the roller assembly onto the topspin siderails.
4Move the roller assembly into desired position
and fasten the motor end of roller assembly to
the siderails.
CAREFULLY REMOVE THE PLASTIC WRAP
and assembly assist siderails.
