Congratulations on your purchase of the Drive Hand Held Piston
Compressor Nebulizer! Drive guarantees that this product has been
manufactured with top-quality materials and complies with both national
and international safety rules.
The new Drive Hand Held Piston Compressor Nebulizer, is a portable,
light-weight device. It is powered by three different sources: house electric
power (by using an AC / DC adapter provided), car lighter adapter(*) and
rechargeable baery pack (*).
This device is powered by two systems: an automatic one with an 8-minute
timer, and the other one operated by the patient, through which the unit
will issue the spray only upon pressing the switch.
Please, read the instructions very carefully before use, and operate the
device as described.

CAN ONLY BE SOLD UNDER MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION.
1- Read the User’s Manual carefully before using this device and keep it for
any future reference.
2- The Neb To Go is a nebulizer for the inhalation of medical aerosols to
treat asthma, chronic bronchitis and other respiratory tract disorders.
This nebulizer is suitable for all commonly used inhalation solutions. Use
only the type, amount of medicine approved by your local health
organization indicated by your doctor.
3- This device should only be used for the specific function intended for:
spray therapy. Any use different to the one prescribed is inappropriate,
and thus dangerous; the manufacturer shall not be held responsible for
any damage caused by undue, improper and irrational use, or if the
device has been used in power facilities not in accordance with the safety
rules in force.
4- The following precautions are important:
- This device is not protected against liquid penetration.
- Avoid any contact with this device with wet hands.
- This device is not to be used together with any anesthetic mixtures
flammable in contact with air, oxygen, or nitrogen protoxyde.
5- Before cleaning and/ or performing maintenance service, unplug the
device from any power source.
6- Disconnect the equipment if not in use.
7- Never open the main compressor unit.

8- Use only the accessories, components and parts supplied. The use of a
power supply and/or a car lighter adapter and/or a rechargeable baery
holder other than the ones supplied with the unit may affect its
performance.
9- Do not pull off the device or cable to disconnect the unit.
10- Adapter cables should be straightened to avoid overheating.
11- Never submerge the nebulizer into water.
12- Device not protected against splashes.
13- Device not suitable for using in lung vent or anesthetic systems.
14- Treatments should be no more than 20 minutes. Allow unit to cool (turn
off) for 40 minutes following each treatment.
15- Children will use this equipment only under adult supervision. Keep
nebulizer away from children.
16- In order to avoid the spread of disease, accessories are not to be shared
among individuals.
17- Use the nebulizer only with the medicine prescribed by your physician
and follow his/her instructions when performing the treatment.
18- If used in another country, a power adapter may be necessary.
Before connecting this device to the power source, make sure the
electric data shown on the label of nominal values at the base of the
unit and/or the adapter match those of the power source.
19- This unit must be repaired only by an authorized Drive dealer.

IMPORTANT: Normal treatments last 5 to 10 minutes. Turn off the
device aer using it for 20 minutes and keep it off for 40 minutes
before turning it on.
Before using the device for the first time, perform the cleaning
procedures described on chapter “Cleaning and Maintenance”.
1- Remove the main unit lid.
2- Remove up the jet nebulizer.
3- Once the jet nebulizer is separated from the body of the nebulizer,
unscrew the upper part of the base (completely removing the jet
nebulizer).
3.1- Fix the cone to the base of the jet nebulizer.4. Pour the medicine
prescribed at the base of the jet nebulizer as indicated by the physician,
paying special aention to the fact of not exceeding the maximum
amount allowed (7 ml).
WARNING: Never pour the medicine in the compressor area. Pour
medicine only when the jet nebulizer is separated from the nebulizer.
5. Screw the jet nebulizer lid over its base and put it on the nebulizer body.
5.1- Distance nebulization: If you wish, you can use the unit with the
extension tubing adapter. For doing that:
- Remove the whole nebulizer from the unit.
- Connect the tubing to the unit and the other end to the nebulizer.
5.2- Mask nebulization: connect the mask to the nebulizer cup.
Nebulization without mask: If you wish, you can use the nebulizer
without the mask.
6. Turn the tip of the jet nebulizer up to the intended position.
7. Connect the power source cable to the nebulizer cable and then connect
it to the socket of your electric power installation.
Make sure the electric nominal values shown on the label of the adapter
match those of the power source. Insert the adapter’s CA socket on the
side plug of the main unit.
Do not use the device if wet.
The unit may be used alternatively with adapter for the car lighter or
with the rechargeable baery pack.
8. Turn ON the device by pressing the on buon (the light signal will
appear) and inhale according to the prescription of your physician. Aer
approximately 8 minutes the unit will automatically turn OFF.
9. If you wish to turn it OFF before set time, press the on buon.

9.1. An optional method of operation is at the patient’s demand. To operate
in this mode, the user must press the off buon so that the nebulization
is made manually, regardless of the timer and when releasing the buon
the device will turn OFF.
This system operates best when using small amounts of medicine, to
optimize the performance and to synchronize the outlet of the spray with
the patient’s breathing rhythm (inhaling when pressing the buon and
exhaling when releasing it).
10. For the correct operation of the device, use it vertically, do not slant it
over 30º.
11. Do not slant the device over 90º as the medicine may spill over.
Once the treatment is complete, turn off the unit. Unplug the adapter,
remove the mouth tip, pull the jet nebulizer lid and perform the cleaning
procedures as described on chapter “Cleaning and Maintenance”.

PRECAUTIONS AND SAFETY MEASURES
- Do not use the device under the sun, or close to a heat source.
- Never immerse the baery pack in water.
- Do not operate the unit for more than 20 minutes.
- It is normal for the Pack to increase temperature while being operated.
- If the baery has not been used for a long period (3 months or more),
repeat the initial charge.
- If the baery will not be used for a long period of time, it is advisable to
store it fully charged.
BATTERY CHARGING / INITIAL OPERATION
The Baery Pack is initially discharged and it is necessary to fully charge it
before its first use to ensure the capacity and useful life of the baery.
A.1- Make sure that the ON/OFF buon is OFF (0).
A.2- Connect the supply power cord of your “HandyNeb” nebulizer to the
mains socket.
A.3- Connect the plug of the power supply cord into the opening of the pack
base and charge 14 hs.
BATTERY CHARGING / REGULAR OPERATION
A.1- Make sure that the ON/OFF buon is OFF (0).
A.2- Connect the supply power cord of your Neb To Go nebulizer to the
main socket.
A.3- Connect the plug of the power supply cord into the opening of the pack
base and charge between 6 and 12 hrs, depending on the use. Do not
leave the Pack charging for more than 24 hrs.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare the nebulizer as you normally do or follow the instructions.
B.1- Connect the pack plug to the nebulizer.
B.2- Turn the ON/OFF buon to the ON position (I) (the green light that
indicates the state of the baery will illuminate).
-Turn the nebulizer on. If the red light is on disconnect the nebulizer
plug and charge the baery pack. Baery full charge is approximately
30 minutes. Once nebulizer use has been completed, turn the Baery
Pack off and disconnect it.

unit. Operate the nebulizer as per the instructions previously

1- Clean the outer surfaces with a wet cloth and dry immediately. The jet
nebulizer should be replaced if obstructed by any medicine residue or
other substances.
WARNING:
- Jet nebulizer and accessories should not be boiled.
- Do not let the unit get wet nor submerge it into any liquid.
- Do not use any abrasive substances to clean the unit.
2- The air filter is to be replaced once a month or earlier, if it became gray.
ATTENTION:
- Use only the manufacturer’s original filters.
- Do not operate the unit without an air filter.
IMPORTANT:
- If medicine enters the compressor area, clean up the device with a dry
cloth and stand it idle for 5 minutes by placing it upside down. Aer 5
minutes, operate the device for 2 minutes without the nebulizer.
- The unit should not be opened for any reason. The parts contained cannot
be repaired by any unauthorized person; the compressor requires neither
lubrication nor maintenance.
- Aer cleaning operations, cover the nebulizer with the unit lid.
WARNING: in order to avoid any infection risk due to contaminated
medicine, it is recommended to clean up parts aer each use.
Nebulize only with products prescribed by a physician and follow the
instructions. Do not use any balsamic or aromatic substances. Do not
use any volatile fluids, like benzene or alcohol, etc. The life time of the
accessories, using them according to the instructions of this manual is
of 5 years.

NEBULIZER ELEMENTS CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1- Remove the jet nebulizer from the nebulizer and dismantle each part by
following steps from 1 to 4 described in “Use Instructions”.
2- Once the three parts are dismantled submerge each part into a
solution of three parts of warm water and one part of white vinegar for
30 minutes, or use a bacteria germicidal disinfectant available in drug
stores.
3- Drain any liquid from components, reassemble and insert them into the
unit.
4- Turn on the device and leave it on for about 5 minutes. This operation will
dry components and avoid any medicine waste, which may obstruct air
flow or any new medicine.
WARNING: nebulization elements are to be replaced about 6 months
aer use, or earlier if not working properly, or if the unit has not been
used for a long time. -Use only the manufacturer’s original spare
parts-.

AIR FILTER CHANGE
1- The filter should be replaced every month, or more oen if it gets dirty or
worn out.
2- Remove the jet nebulizer form the nebulizer body.
3- Turn the nebulizer base upside down.
4- Remove the filter cover lid and replace it with a new one.
5- Remount by pressing the filter cover lid, with the new filter in place.
Precaution: using a dirty filter or replacing it with another material such
as coon, may damage the compressor.

The device
doesn’t work.
1- Make sure the plug is correctly connected to the device.
2- Make sure the AC socket is in direct contact with a power source.
3- Press the ON / OFF buon again.
The device
is on but the
nebulization is
not enough.
1- Make sure the jet nebulizer is well placed, repeat the insertion
procedure.
2- Make sure the nebulizer is in a vertical position during use, do not
slant it over 30o.
3- Check the jet nebulizer is not empty.
4- Clean or replace the jet nebulizer as described in chapter
“Cleaning and Maintenance “.
5- Check and verify if there is any obstruction in the air filter or if it
is dirty.
The device is
ON but does
not nebulize.
1- Be sure that the micronebulization cone is located in the
nebulization chamber.
2- Check that the medicine is on the jet nebulizer base.
PROBLEMS CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
The device
doesn’t work.
The overconsumption protector device was activated due to any of
the following reasons:
1- The device was working under conditions different to those
indicated in the manual.
2- The device was working near heat sources or heat rooms.
3- Keep the device off for at least 40 minutes.
The device
makes some
noise.
Check that the filter lid is correctly placed and completely covers
the filter seat. If the noise continues, please contact an authorized
Drive dealer.

ATTENTION: this unit is provided with an internal over-consumption/
over-heating protection device. If the unit does not turn on, unplug it
and wait for 40 minutes before reusing.

a Pistón Drive! Drive garantiza que este producto ha sido fabricado

El nuevo Nebulizador Manual con Compresor a Pistón es un aparato
portátil y liviano. Funciona con energía de tres tipos diferentes: corriente

Este aparato funciona con dos sistemas: uno automático con un

RECOMENDACIONES
1. Lea el Manual del Usuario cuidadosamente antes de usar este aparato y

2. El Neb To Go es un nebulizador para inhalación de aerosoles de
medicamentos para el tratamiento del asma, bronquitis crónica y otras
afecciones del tracto respiratorio. Este nebulizador es apropiado para
todo tipo de soluciones usadas comúnmente para inhalación. Use sólo
el tipo, cantidad de medicamento aprobado por su organización sanitaria
local indicada por su doctor.
3. Este aparato sólo debe ser usado para la función específica buscada:
terapia en aerosol. Cualquier uso diferente al prescripto es inapropiado
y, por lo tanto, peligroso; el fabricante no tendrá responsabilidad por
daños causados por el uso indebido, inapropiado e irracional o si el
aparato ha sido usado en instalaciones de energía que no estén de

9. No tire del aparato o del cable para desconectar la unidad.
10. Los cables del adaptador debe estar estirados para evitar
sobrecalentamiento.
11. Nunca sumerja el nebulizador en agua.
12. El aparato no está protegido contra salpicaduras.
13. El aparato no es apropiado para usar en ventilación pulmonar o sistemas
anestésicos.
14. Los tratamientos no deben durar más de 20 minutos. Deje que la unidad
se enfríe (apáguela) durante 40 minutos luego de cada tratamiento.
15. Los niños deben usar este equipamiento sólo bajo la supervisión de un
adulto. Mantenga el nebulizador lejos del alcance de los niños.

IMPORTANTE: Los tratamientos normales duran 5 a 10 minutos.
Apague el aparato después de usarlo durante 20 minutos y manténgalo
apagado durante 40 minutos antes de volver a encenderlo.
Antes de usar el aparato por primera vez, realice los procedimientos de
limpieza descriptos en el capítulo “Limpieza y Mantenimiento”.
1. Quite la tapa de la unidad principal.
2. Quite el jet nebulizador.
3. Una vez que el jet nebulizador está separado del cuerpo del nebulizador,
desenrosque la parte superior de la base (quitando completamente el jet
nebulizador).
3.1. Fije el cono a la base del jet nebulizador. 4. Vierta el medicamento
prescripto en la base del jet nebulizador como se lo haya indicado el
médico prestando especial atención al hecho de no exceder la máxima
cantidad permitida (7 ml).
ADVERTENCIA: Nunca vierta el medicamento en el área del
compresor. Sólo vierta el medicamento cuando el jet nebulizador está
separado del nebulizador.
5. Enrosque la tapa del jet nebulizador sobre su base y póngalo en el
cuerpo del nebulizador.
5.1 - Distancia de nebulización: Si lo desea, puede usar la unidad con el
adaptador para extensión del tubo. Para hacerlo:
- Quite el nebulizador completo de la unidad.
- Conecte los tubos a la unidad y el otro extremo al nebulizador.
5.2– Nebulización con máscara: conecte la máscara al vaso del nebulizador.
Nebulización sin máscara: Si lo desea puede usar el nebulizador sin la
máscara.
6. Gire el extremo del nebulizador jet hacia arriba hasta la posición
deseada.
7. Conecte el cable de la fuente de energía al cable del nebulizador y luego
conéctelo al tomacorriente de su instalación de energía eléctrica.
Asegúrese que los valores nominales eléctricos que figuran en al etiqueta
del adaptador se corresponden con los de la fuente de energía. Inserte el
enchufe del adaptador CA en el enchufe al costado de la unidad principal.
No use el aparato si está húmedo.
La unidad puede ser usada alternativamente con adaptador para el
encendedor del automóvil o con el pack de baterías recargables.

8. Prenda el aparato presionando el botón de encendido (on) (aparecerá la
luz de señal) e inhale de acuerdo con la prescripción de su médico.
Después de aproximadamente 8 minutos la unidad se apagará
automáticamente.
9. Si desea apagarla antes del tiempo programado, presione el botón de
encendido (on).
9.1. Un método opcional de funcionamiento es a demanda del paciente.
Para funcionar de este modo, el usuario debe presionar el botón “off”
(apagado) de tal manera que la nebulización se realice manualmente,
sin importar el temporizador y, cuando se libera el botón, el aparato se
apagará.
Este sistema funciona mejor cuando se usan pequeñas cantidades de
medicamento para optimizar el funcionamiento y para sincronizar la salida
del spray con el ritmo de respiración del paciente (inhalando cuando
presiona el botón y exhalando cuando lo libera).
10. Para un correcto funcionamiento del aparato, úselo verticalmente, no lo
incline a más de 30 °
11. No incline el aparato a más de 90 ° ya que el medicamento se puede
derramar.
Una vez que se ha completado el tratamiento, apague la unidad.
Desenchufe el adaptador, quite la pieza bucal, tire de la tapa del jet
nebulizador y realice los procedimientos de limpieza como se describen en
el capítulo “Limpieza y Mantenimiento”.

PRECAUCIONES Y MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD
- No use el aparato bajo el sol o cerca de una fuente de calor.
- Nunca sumerja el pack de baterías en agua.
- No haga funcionar la unidad durante más de 20 minutos.
- Es normal que el Pack aumente la temperatura mientras está funcionando.
- Si la batería no ha sido usada por un período largo de tiempo (3 meses o
más), repita la carga inicial.
- Si la batería no será usada por un período largo de tiempo es aconsejable
guardarla completamente cargada.
CARGA DE BATERÍA / USO INICIAL
El Pack de Batería está inicialmente descargado y es necesario cargarlo
completamente antes de su primer uso para asegurar la capacidad y la vida útil
de la batería.
A.1. Asegúrese que el botón encendido/ apagado (ON/ OFF) esté en
apagado (OFF) (o).
A.2. Conecte el cable de energía de su nebulizador “HandyNeb” al enchufe
principal.
A.3. Conecte el enchufe del cable de energía en la abertura de la base del
pack y cargue durante 14 horas.
CARGA DE BATERÍA / USO REGULAR
A.1. Asegúrese que el botón encendido/ apagado (ON/ OFF) esté en
apagado (OFF) (o).
A.2. Conecte el cable de energía de su nebulizador Neb To Go al enchufe
principal.
A.3. Conecte el enchufe del cable de energía en la abertura de la base

Pack cargándose durante más de 24 horas.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
Prepare el nebulizador como lo hace normalmente o siga las instrucciones.
B.1. Conecte el enchufe del pack al nebulizador.
B.2. Ponga el botón de encendido/ apagado (ON/OFF) en posición de
encendido (ON) (I) (la luz verde que indica el estado de la batería se
iluminará).
- Encienda el nebulizador. Si la luz roja está encendida, desconecte el
nebulizador, enchufe y cargue el pack de baterías. La carga completa
de la batería es de aproximadamente 30 minutos. Una vez que el uso del
nebulizador se haya completado, apague el Pack de Batería y
desconéctelo.
