Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
• Das Gerät darf nur zum Erhitzen von Wasser verwendet werden, nicht zum Erhitzen
von Milch oder anderen Flüssigkeiten.
• Das Gerät ist ausschließlich für den privaten Gebrauch geeignet, nicht für eine ge-
werbliche oder haushaltsähnliche Nutzung z.B. in Hotels, Frühstückspensionen,
Büros, Mitarbeiterküchen o. Ä.
• Das Gerät nur wie in der Gebrauchsanleitung beschrieben nutzen. Jede weitere
Verwendung gilt als bestimmungswidrig.
• Von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen sind alle Mängel, die durch unsachgemäße
Behandlung, Beschädigung, Verkalkung oder Reparaturversuche entstehen. Dies
gilt auch für den normalen Verschleiß.

■Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren sowie von Per-
sonen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen
Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/oder Wissen be-
nutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des siche-
ren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die daraus

VORSICHT: heiße Oberflächen!
Der Wasserkocher wird während des Gebrauchs sehr
heiß. Während und nach der Benutzung des Wasser-
kochers nicht mit aufgeheizten Teilen in Berührung kom-
men! Ausschließlich den Griffberühren, wenn der Was-
serkocher in Betrieb ist oder heißes Wasser enthält.

■Die Basisstation ist bei nicht vorhandener Aufsicht und vor dem
Reinigen stets vom Netz zu trennen.
■Den Wasserkocher, die Basisstation und die Anschlussleitung
niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten eintauchen und
sicherstellen, dass diese nicht ins Wasser fallen können.
■Den Wasserkocher nur mit der mitgelieferten Basisstation ver-
wenden. Die Basisstation nicht mit anderen Geräten benutzen.
■Nie über die maximale Füllmenge hinausgehen (MAX-Markie-
rung auf der Wasserstandsanzeige beachten!). Ist der Wasser-
kocher überfüllt, könnte kochendes Wasser aus der Ausguss-
tülle austreten.
■Keine Veränderungen am Gerät vornehmen. Auch die An-
schlussleitung nicht selbst austauschen. Wenn der Wasser-
kocher, die Basisstation oder die Anschlussleitung beschädigt
sind, müssen diese durch den Hersteller, Kundenservice oder
eine Fachwerkstatt ersetzt bzw. repariert werden, um Gefähr-
dungen zu vermeiden.
■Das Gerät ist nicht dazu bestimmt, mit einer externen Zeitschalt-
uhr oder einem separaten Fernwirksystem betrieben zu werden.
■Die Reinigungshinweise im Kapitel „Reinigung und Pflege“
beachten!
GEFAHR – Stromschlaggefahr
■Das Gerät nur in geschlossenen Räumen verwenden und lagern.
■Das Gerät nicht in Räumen mit hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit betreiben.
■Sollte die Basisstation ins Wasser fallen, sofort die Stromzufuhr unterbrechen. Nicht
versuchen, diese aus dem Wasser zu ziehen, während sie an das Stromnetz ange-
schlossen ist! Vor erneuter Inbetriebnahme die Basisstation und den Wasserkocher
von einer Fachwerkstatt prüfen lassen.
■Die Basisstation und die Anschlussleitung niemals mit feuchten Händen berühren,
wenn die Basisstaion an das Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.
■Den Wasserkocher zum Befüllen, Ausgießen oder Reinigen von der Basisstation
nehmen. Darauf achten, dass kein Wasser in die Kontakte auf der Unterseite des
Wasserkochers eindringt.
■Darauf achten, dass der austretende Dampf nicht in Kontakt mit elektrischen Gerä-
ten und Einrichtungen, die elektrische Bauteile enthalten, kommt.

WARNUNG – Brandgefahr
■Das Gerät nicht in Räumen benutzen, in denen sich leichtentzündliche oder explo-
sive Substanzen befinden.
■Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von brennbarem Material betreiben. Keine brennbaren
Materialien (z.B. Pappe, Papier, Kunststoff) auf oder in das Gerät legen.
■Das Gerät nicht zusammen mit anderen Verbrauchern (mit hoher Wattleistung) an
eine Mehrfachsteckdose anschließen, um eine Überlastung und ggf. einen Kurz-
schluss (Brand) zu vermeiden.
■Das Gerät nicht in Verbindung mit Verlängerungskabeln nutzen.
■Das Gerät während des Betriebs nicht abdecken, um einen Gerätebrand zu vermeiden.
WARNUNG – Verletzungsgefahr
■Kinder und Tiere vom Verpackungsmaterial fernhalten. Es besteht Erstickungs-
gefahr.
■Verbrühungsgefahr durch Hitze, heißen Dampf oder Kondenswasser!
–Kontakt mit dem aufsteigenden Dampf aus der Ausgusstülle vermeiden. Den
Deckel nicht während des Kochvorgangs öffnen. Das Gerät vor erneutem Befüllen
abkühlen lassen!
–Kochendes Wasser langsam und vorsichtig ausgießen, ohne das Gerät zu schnell
zu kippen.
–Das Gerät nicht während des Kochvorgangs bewegen.
■Darauf achten, dass die Anschlussleitung keine Stolpergefahr darstellt. Die An-
schlussleitung darf nicht von der Aufstellfläche herabhängen, um ein Herunterrei-
ßen des Gerätes zu verhindern.
■Sicherstellen, dass die Anschlussleitung außer Reichweite von Kleinkindern und
Tieren ist. Es besteht Strangulationsgefahr!
HINWEIS – Risiko von Material- und Sachschäden
■Die Basisstation nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose anschließen.
Die Steckdose muss gut zugänglich sein, damit die Netzverbindung schnell getrennt
werden kann. Die Netzspannung muss mit den technischen Daten der Basisstation
übereinstimmen.
■Das Gerät ausschalten und den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen, wenn wäh-
rend des Betriebes ein Fehler auftritt oder vor einem Gewitter. Beim Herausziehen
aus der Steckdose immer am Netzstecker und nie am Netzkabel ziehen!
■Die Basisstation nicht an der Anschlussleitung ziehen oder tragen.
■Das Gerät vor anderen Wärmequellen, offenem Feuer, Minustemperaturen und Stö-
ßen schützen. Die Basisstation zusätzlich vor lang anhaltender Feuchtigkeit und
Nässe schützen.
■Den Wasserkocher abkühlen lassen, bevor er mit kaltem Wasser befüllt wird, um
Glasbruch zu vermeiden.
■Die Anschlussleitung so verlegen, dass sie nicht gequetscht oder geknickt wird und
nicht mit heißen Flächen in Berührung kommt (gilt auch für die heißen Flächen des
Gerätes!).

■Niemals schwere Gegenstände auf die Basisstation oder die Anschlussleitung
stellen.
■Nur Original-Zubehörteile des Herstellers verwenden, um die Funktionsweise des
Gerätes nicht zu beeinträchtigen und eventuelle Schäden zu verhindern.

Den Lieferumfang auf Vollständigkeit und die Bestandteile auf Transportschäden über-
prüfen. Bei Schäden nicht verwenden, sondern den Kundenservice kontaktieren.
Eventuelle Folien, Aufkleber oder Transportschutz vom Gerät abnehmen. Niemals das
Typenschild und eventuelle Warnhinweise entfernen!

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
1. Das Gerät wie im Kapitel „Reinigung und Pflege“ beschrieben, reinigen.
2. Um eventuelle Produktionsrückstände zu beseitigen, den Wasserkocher vor dem
ersten Gebrauch bis zur MAX-Markierung mit Trinkwasser füllen und aufkochen las-
sen (siehe Kapitel „Benutzung“). Dieses Wasser wegschütten, nicht trinken!
3. Diesen Vorgang zweimal wiederholen.
Nun ist der Wasserkocher betriebsbereit!

Benutzung
BEACHTEN!
■Das Gerät nicht unter Küchenoberschränke o.Ä. stellen. Durch den aufsteigenden
Dampf könnten diese Schaden nehmen!
■Den Wasserkocher nicht ohne Wasser oder mit weniger Wasser als bis zur MIN-
Markierung betreiben. Das Gerät könnte überhitzen. In diesem Fall schaltet sich das
Gerät aus. Abkühlen lassen, bevor es erneut befüllt und verwendet wird!
1. Die Anschlussleitung auf der Unterseite der Basisstation (3) auf die gewünschte Län-
ge auf- bzw. abwickeln und dann in den dafür vorgesehenen Schlitz am Rand der
Basisstation legen.
2. Das Gerät immer mit einem Freiraum zu den Seiten (mind. 20 cm) und nach oben
(mind. 30 cm) auf die Küchenarbeitsplatte oder einen anderen ebenen, festen,
wärmebeständigen und gegen Wasserspritzer unempfindlichen Untergrund stellen.
3. Den Netzstecker in eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte und leicht zugängliche Steck-
dose stecken.
4. Den Öffnungsriegel im Deckel (8) zum Griff(2) ziehen und gleichzeitig den Deckel
öffnen.
5. Den Wasserkessel (5) mit mind. 0,5 Liter (MIN-Markierung) und max. 1,7 Liter (MAX-
Markierung) befüllen. Zu wenig Wasser führt dazu, dass sich das Gerät vorzeitig ab-
schaltet. Beim Überschreiten der MAX-Markierung (6) könnte Wasser beim Kochen
herausspritzen.
6. Den Öffnungsriegel zum Griffziehen und den Deckel verschließen.
7. Den Wasserkocher auf die Basisstation stellen.
8. Den Ein- / Ausschalter (1) auf die Position I(AN) stellen. Das Gerät wird eingeschal-
tet und die LED-Beleuchtung (4) leuchtet blau.
Der Kochvorgang kann jederzeit abgebrochen werden, indem der Ein-/
Ausschalter auf die Position 0(AUS) gestellt wird.
Das Gerät schaltet automatisch ab, sobald das Wasser kocht. Der Ein-/Ausschalter
springt auf die Position 0(AUS) und die LED-Beleuchtung erlischt.
9. Den Wasserkocher von der Basisstation nehmen, um das Wasser vorsichtig in ein
entsprechendes Gefäß zu gießen. Den Deckel während des Ausgießens geschlos-
sen halten!

BEACHTEN!
■Das Gerät regelmäßig entkalken.
■Das Gerät ist nicht spülmaschinengeeignet!
■Zum Reinigen keine giftigen, ätzenden oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel bzw.
Scheuerschwämme verwenden. Diese können die Oberfläche beschädigen.
1. Den Wasserkessel (5) vollständig entleeren.
2. Den Wasserkessel mit etwas mildem Spülmittel und klarem Wasser ausspülen. Da-
rauf achten, dass kein Wasser in die Kontakte auf der Unterseite des Wasser-
kochers eindringt! Den Wasserkocher nicht ins Wasser tauchen! Dies könnte
einen Kurzschluss verursachen.
3. Den Wasserkocher gut abtrocknen.
4. Die Basisstation (3) bei Bedarf mit einem trockenen Tuch abwischen.
5. Das Gerät arbeitsbereit halten. Kalkablagerungen mit einem Entkalkungsmittel ent-
fernen. Dabei die Anleitung des Entkalkungsmittels befolgen.
6. Das Gerät an einem trockenen, sauberen, frostfreien Ort aufbewahren, der vor direk-
tem Sonnenlicht und dem Zugriffdurch Kinder oder Tiere geschützt ist. Beachten:
Der Wasserkocher kann bei Nichtgebrauch auf der Basisstation aufbewahrt werden.
In diesem Fall den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen, da sich der Wasserkocher
im Stand-by-Modus befindet, solange er an das Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.
Fehlerbehebung
Sollte das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß funktionieren, überprüfen, ob ein Problem selbst
behoben werden kann. Lässt sich mit den genannten Schritten das Problem nicht lösen,
den Kundenservice kontaktieren.
Nicht versuchen, ein elektrisches Gerät eigenständig zu reparieren!

Intended Use
• The device may only be used to heat up water, not for heating up milk or other liquids.
• The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial or domes-
tic-like applications, e.g. in hotels, bed and breakfasts, offices, staffkitchens or sim-
ilar places.
• The device should only be used as described in the operating instructions. Any other
use is deemed to be improper.
• The warranty does not cover faults caused by incorrect handling, damage, calcifica-
tion or repair attempts. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

CAUTION: hot surfaces!
The kettle will become very hot during use. Do not come
into contact with heated parts while or after using the
kettle! Only ever touch the handle when the kettle is in
operation or contains hot water.
■The base station must always be disconnected from the mains
power when left unattended and before cleaning it.
■Never immerse the kettle, base station or the connecting cable
in water or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into
water.

■Use the kettle only with the base station provided. Do not use
the base station with other devices.
■Never exceed the maximum fill level (note the MAX marking on
the water level indicator!). If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water
could escape from the pouring spout.
■Do not make any modifications to the device. Also do not replace
the connecting cable yourself. If the kettle, the base station or
the connecting cable are damaged, they must be replaced or
repaired by the manufacturer, customer service department or
a specialist workshop in order to avoid any hazards.
■The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer
or a separate remote control system.
■Note the cleaning instructions in the “Cleaning and Care” chapter!
DANGER – Risk of Electric Shock
■Use and store the device only in closed rooms.
■Do not operate the device in rooms with high humidity.
■Should the base station fall into water, switch offthe power supply immediately. Do
not attempt to pull it out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
Have the base station and the kettle checked in a specialist workshop before using
it again.
■Never touch the base station and the connecting cable with wet hands when the base
station is connected to the mains power.
■Take the kettle offthe base station to fill it, pour water or clean it. Make sure that no
water gets into the contacts on the bottom of the kettle.
■Make sure that the steam which emerges does not come into contact with electrical
devices and equipment containing electrical components.
WARNING – Danger of Fire
■Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable or explosive substances.
■Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible material. Do not place any
combustible materials (e.g. cardboard, paper or plastic) on or in the device.

WARNING – Danger of Injury
■Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
suffocation.
■Danger of scalding from heat, hot steam or condensation!
–Avoid coming into contact with the steam rising up from the pouring spout. Do not
open the lid during the boiling process. Allow the device to cool down before filling
it again!
–Pour out boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the device too quickly.
–Do not move the device during the boiling process.
■Make sure that the connecting cable does not present a trip hazard. The connecting
cable may not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed in order to
prevent the device from being pulled down.
■Make sure that the connecting cable is kept out of the reach of small children and
animals. There is a danger of strangulation!
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property
■The base station should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with.
The socket must be readily accessible so that the connection to the mains can quickly
be isolated. The mains voltage must be the same as that stated in the technical data
for the base station.
■Switch offthe device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket if an error occurs
during operation or before a thunderstorm. When you pull the mains plug out of the
plug socket, always pull on the mains plug and never the mains cable!
■Do not pull or carry the base station by the connecting cable.
■Protect the device from other heat sources, naked flames, sub-zero temperatures
and impacts. Also protect the base station from persistent moisture and wet condi-
tions.
■Allow the kettle to cool down before it is filled with cold water to prevent glass breakage.
■Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it is not squashed or bent and does not
come into contact with hot surfaces (also applies to the hot surfaces of the device!).
■Never place heavy objects on the base station or the connecting cable.
■Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there
is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid possible
damage.

Before Initial Use
1. Clean the device as described in the “Cleaning and Care” chapter.
2. To remove any possible production residues, fill the kettle (5) up to the MAX marking
with drinking water before you first use it and let it boil up (see chapter “Use”). Pour
away this water, do not drink it!
3. Repeat this process twice.
The kettle is now ready for operation!
Use
PLEASE NOTE!
■Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising
steam could cause damage to them!
■Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach
the Min marking. If this does happen, the device switches offautomatically. In this
case, allow the device to cool down before cold water is poured in and the device is
switched on.
1. Wind up or unwind the connecting cable on the bottom of the base station (3) to the
length you want and then place it in the slot which is provided for it on the edge of
the base station.
2. Always set up the device with a clear space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and clear
space above it (at least 30 cm) on the kitchen worktop or another flat, solid and
heat-resistant surface that is resistant to splashing.
3. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
4. Pull the lid’s (8) latch towards the handle (2) und simultaneously open the lid.
5. Fill the kettle (5) with at least 0.5 litres (MIN marking) and max. 1.7 litres (MAX mark-
ing) of water. Insufficient water will cause the device to switch offprematurely. If the
MAX marking (6) is exceeded, water could splash out during the boiling process.

6. Pull the latch towards the handle and close the lid.
7. Place the kettle on the base station.
8. Set the On/Offswitch (1) to position I(ON). The device will turn on and the LED
lighting (4) is lit constantly blue.
You can interrupt the boiling process at any time by setting the On/Offswitch to
position 0(OFF).
The device automatically deactivates once the water has boiled. The On/Offswitch
sets automatically to position 0(OFF) and the LED lighting switches off.
9. Take the kettle offthe base station and carefully pour the water into a vessel. Keep
the lid closed when pouring out the water.
Cleaning and Care
PLEASE NOTE!
■Regularly descale the device.
■The device is not dishwasher-safe.
■Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to
clean the device. These can damage the surface.
1. Completely empty the kettle (5).
2. Rinse out the kettle with a little mild detergent and clear water. Make sure that no
water gets into the contacts on the bottom of the kettle! Do not immerse the
kettle in water! This could cause a short circuit.
3. Dry the kettle thoroughly.
4. If necessary, wipe down the base station (3) with a dry cloth.
5. Keep the device ready to operate. Remove limescale deposits with a descaling agent.
Follow the instructions on how to use the descaling agent.
6. Store the device and all accessories in a dry, clean, frost-free place that is protected
from direct sunlight and cannot be accessed by children or animals. Please note:
The kettle can be stored on the base station when it is not being used. In this case,
pull the mains plug from the plug socket as the kettle is in stand-by mode while it is
connected to the mains power.

Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the cus-
tomer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!

■La station de base doit toujours être débranchée du secteur
lorsqu’elle n’est pas sous surveillance et avant d’être nettoyée.
■Ne plongez jamais la bouilloire, la station de base et le cor-
don de raccordement dans l’eau ou tout autre liquide et assu-
rez-vous qu’ils ne risquent pas de tomber dans l’eau.
■Utilisez la bouilloire uniquement avec la station de base fournie.
N’utilisez pas la station de base pour d’autres appareils.
■Ne dépassez jamais la quantité de remplissage maximale (ob-
servez le repère MAX sur l’indicateur du niveau d’eau). Si la
bouilloire est trop remplie, de l’eau bouillante pourrait s’échap-
per du bec.
■Ne procédez à aucune modification sur l’appareil. De même,
ne remplacez pas le cordon de raccordement vous-même. Si la
bouilloire, la station de base ou le cordon de raccordement sont
endommagés, c’est au fabricant, au service après-vente ou à
un atelier agréé qu’il revient de les remplacer ou de les réparer
afin d’éviter tout danger.
■L’appareil n’est pas conçu pour une utilisation avec une minu-
terie externe ou un système de commande à distance séparé.
■Veuillez observer les consignes de nettoyage données au para-
graphe « Nettoyage et entretien » !
DANGER – Risque d’électrocution
■Utilisez et entreposez l’appareil uniquement dans des pièces fermées.
■Ne faites pas fonctionner l’appareil dans des pièces à fort taux d’humidité.
■Si la station de base devait tomber à l’eau, coupez immédiatement l’alimentation
électrique. N’essayez pas de l’extraire de l’eau tant qu’elle est encore raccordée au
réseau électrique ! Faites vérifier la station de base et la bouilloire dans un atelier
spécialisé avant de les remettre en marche.
■Ne saisissez jamais la station de base ni le cordon de raccordement à mains humides
lorsque la station de base est raccordée au réseau électrique.
■Pour remplir, vider ou nettoyer la bouilloire, vous devez la retirer de sa station de
base. Prenez cependant soin à ne pas faire pénétrer d’eau au niveau des contacts
en face inférieure de la bouilloire.
■Veiller à ce que la vapeur qui se dégage ne puisse pas entrer en contact avec des
appareils électriques ou des installations comportant des composants électriques.
