100PIprovidesunprecedentedlevelsofimmunityagainstvisiblelight.TheDetectoroffersanexceptionallevel
ofdetection capabilityand stabilityforeverysecurityinstallation.TheLC-100PIissuppliedwithWideAngle
lens.
The LC-100PIprovidesPetimmunityup to25Kg(55 lbs).Forbetterimmunityavoidinstallation inareaswherepets
can reachupwards.

Selectmounting location
Choosealocation mostlikelytointerceptan intruder.See detection pattern(Fig.5).The Quadhigh qualitysensordetectsmotion crossing
the beam;itisless sensitivedetecting motion towardsthe detector.The LC-100PIperformsbestwhen provided withaconstantand
stableenvironment.
Avoidthefollowing locations
*Facing directsunlight. *Facing areassubjecttorapidtemperaturechanges.*Areaswithairductsorsubstantialairflows.
MOUNTING THEDETECTOR
1.Toremovethe frontcover(Fig.4),unscrewthe holding screw(Fig.4-11)and gentlyraisethe frontcover.
2.Toremovethe PCboard,carefullyunscrewthe holding screw(Fig.4-9)located on the PCboard(Fig.4-10).
3.Breakoutthe desired holes(Fig.2-BorC)forproperinstallation (flatorcorner).
4.Thecircularandrectangularindentationsatthe bottombasearetheknockoutholes(Fig.2-D)forwireentry.You mayalsousemounting
holesthatarenotinuseforrunning the wiring intothe detector.(Foroption withbracket(Fig.1&3)(Fig.4-7),lead wirethrough the
bracket)
5.Mountthe detectorbasetothe wall,cornerorceiling.(Foroptionswithbracketinstall bracket).
6.Reinstall the PCboardbyfullytightening the holding screw.Connectwiretoterminalblock.
7.Replacethe coverbyinserting itback inthe appropriateclosing pinsand screwinthe holding screw.

Terminals1&2-MarkedT2and T1(TAMPER)If aTamperfunction isrequired connecttheseterminalstoa24-hournormallyclosed
protectivezone inthe controlunit. If the frontcoverofthe detectorisopened,an immediatealarm signalwill be senttothe controlunit.
Terminals3&4-MarkedNC and C(RELAY)Thesearethe outputrelaycontactsofthe detector.Connecttoanormallyclosed zone in
the controlpanel.
Terminal5-Marked“EOL”End ofline option.
Terminal6-Marked“-”(GND)Connecttothe negativeVoltage outputorground ofthe controlpanel.
Terminal7-Marked“+”(+12V)ConnecttoapositiveVoltage outputof8.2-16Vdcsource(usuallyfromthe alarm controlunit).

Usethe potentiometertoadjustthe detection range between 68%and 100%
(factorysetto84%).Rotatethe potentiometerclockwisetoincreaserange,
counter-clockwisetodecreaserange.
Wiresizerequirements
Use#22 AWG(0.5mm) orwireswithalargerdiameter.Usethe following
tabletodetermine required wiregauge(diameter) and lengthofwirebetween
the detectorand the controlpanel.

TESTING
Testprocedures
Waitone minute-warm up timeafterapplying 12 Vdcpower.
Conducttesting withthe protected area cleared ofall people.
Walktest
1.Removefrontcover.The pulsejumpermustbe inposition 1.The LEDmustbe enabled.2.Replacethe frontcover.
3.Startwalking slowlyacross the detection zone.4.Observethatthe detector’sLEDlightswhenevermotion isdetected.
5.Allow5sec.between eachtestforthe detectortostabilize.6.Afterthe walktestiscompleted,the LEDmaybe disabled.
Note:Walktestsshouldbe conducted,atleastonceayear,toconfirm properoperation and coverage ofthe detector.

provide volumetricarea protection.Theyhavemultiplebeamsofdetection and motion can onlybe detected inunobstructed areascovered bythesebeams.Theycannotdetectmotion whichoccursbehind walls,ceilings,
floor,closed doors,glass partitions,glass doorsorwindows.Any
type oftampering whetherintentionalorunintentionalsuchasmasking ,painting,orspraying ofanymaterialon the lenses,mirrors,windowsoranyotherpartofthe detection systemwill impairitsproperoperation.
Passiveinfrared motion detectorsoperatebysensing changesintemperature.Howevertheireffectiveness can be reduced when the ambienttemperaturerisesnearorabovebodytemperatureorifthereareintentional
orunintentionalsourcesofheatinornearthe detection area.Someoftheseheatsourcescouldbe heaters,radiators,stoves,barbeques,fireplaces,sunlight, steamvents,lighting and soon.
