PROPER MAINTENANCE
To guarantee your microphone provides years of
performance, follow these guidelines{
d Avoid extreme heat, condensing humidity and dustc
d Rough handling may damage the microphone
capsule even if no visible marks are left.c
d When not mounted to a wireless transmitter keep
the SR3314 in its protective fabric bag.
CLEANING THE SR5314
All cleaning should be done with either alcohol wipes,
or with a small amount of alcohol on a soft cloth. Make
sure any cleaned elements are completely dry before
reassembling.

) Cleaning the External Stainless Screen - unscrew
the external stainless screen.
) Cleaning the Dual Stainless P p Filter - b th sides
can be cleaned, but m st f the dirt will be n the
side facing the external screen.
) Internal Stainless Windscreen - it w uld be
extremely rare if the internal windscreen sh uld
ever need cleaning, but it may be cleaned if the
need arises. As this windscreen is very cl se t the
micr ph ne element, be extra careful that the
windscreen is dry bef re reassembly.

Please note that with Shure Axient and Sennheiser
D6000 handheld transmitters, the SR3314 and the
SR5314 may take a little over 3 seconds to warm up,
starting from the moment the transmitter
is switched on. Since the Sennheiser SKM 6000 and
the Shure Axient AD2 and ADX2 wireless transmitters
power up and start passing audio quicker than this,
we recommend keeping the channel muted during
this short warmup period to prevent distortion and/or
noise being heard.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If you encounter issues while using your Earthworks
Audio microphone, please make sure that
 Your microphone is connected to an active power
supply.
 Phantom power is being supplied to the
microphone.
 Your microphone and XLR cable are well
connected.
 he microphone is positioned at an appropriate
distance from the sound source.
 External noise in your recording environment is
kept to a minimum.
 Your recording space is at room temperature and
free of dust
