Rogamos lean detenidamente este manual para poder garantizar
una correcta y segura utilización de su bicicleta, así como evitar
averías innecesarias.
El contenido de este manual puede aplicarse a nuestros modelos
Elegance 3 , Urban y Adventure. Rogamos nos disculpen si algunas
partes de este manual no coinciden exactamente con su modelo
Ecobike.
Debido a nuestro afán de superación, Ecobike se reserva el derecho a
introducir mejoras en sus modelos, así como a variar los precios de los
mismos sin previo aviso a sus Clientes.

Sistema de plegado modelo URBAN:
Para plegar el manillar, desenrosque la manivela y plegue el manillar
con cuidado para no pillar los cables de freno.
Para ajustar el sillín, afloje la palanca (1), ajuste el tubo del sillín y
vuelva a apretar hacia abajo la palanca (2). Para quitar la batería siga
los mismos pasos, suba el tubo del sillín hasta que pueda sacarla con
comodidad (2).

Para plegar y desplegar, levante la palanca (1) gírela a la izquierda a
continuación estire esta hacia arriba (2). Plegue el cuadro delantero a
la izquierda.(3)

Para plegar el pedal apriete el gatillo y plegue hacia abajo el pedal.

Normas de utilización :
- Ponga la llave de contacto en la batería, gírela para la puesta
en marcha. Observe que los leds indicadores de carga de la
batería y del puño acelerador se encienden.
- Inicio de la marcha: Pedalear tal como lo haría en una
bicicleta normal. Tras detectar la primera pedaleada se
activará el Sistema de Pedaleo Asistido. Notará que el motor
se pone en marcha (aprox. 0% de la potencia) ofreciéndole
una ayuda al pedalear. Para recibir más ayuda del S.P.A
podrá utilizar el acelerador, obtendrá ayuda extra hasta el
100%.
- Las manetas de freno están equipadas con un sistema de
seguridad que consiste en la desactivación automática del
motor. Al accionar el freno interrumpe el suministro de energía
además de desembragarlo. De este modo la rueda queda
libre y evita que entre en conflicto la frenada con la inercia del
motor. Para activar de nuevo el motor deje de accionar el
freno, pedalee y volverá a ponerse en funcionamiento el
S.P.A .
- La bicicleta viene equipada con cambio de marchas de
velocidades. (El sistema eléctrico es independiente al cambio
de marchas)
- Recomendamos no cambiar las características técnicas de su
bicicleta
- Utilizar únicamente el cargador y la batería suministrada con su
bicicleta.
- El portabultos no está adaptado para el transporte de
pasajeros.
- NO subir el sillín por encima de la marca de seguridad. Puede
significar un riesgo para su seguridad.
- No es recomendable exponer su bicicleta a altas temperaturas
ni a fuertes lluvias durante largos periodos de tiempo
- Su bicicleta se rige por la normativa de bicicletas
convencionales vigente en su ciudad. Es su responsabilidad el
conocimiento y cumplimiento de las mismas.
- La batería es el corazón de su bicicleta, cuídela.

Verificación antes de su utilización:
La bicicleta ha sido revisada por Ecobike y por su distribuidor. No
obstante, recomendamos revisar y verificar los siguientes
componentes antes de su utilización:
- Presión de los neumáticos (2,5 a 3 Kg) - Montaje dirección y potencia
- Frenos delantero y trasero - Cambio de marchas
- Montaje de los pedales - Carga de batería
Mantenimiento y ajustes:
¡¡ Antes de proceder, quite la llave del contacto y retire la batería!!
Ajuste de frenos
El procedimiento del ajuste de frenos es igual que en cualquier
bicicleta convencional.
Una vez ajustados, haga girar suavemente la rueda para asegurarse
que no detecta ningún roce.
Conecte la batería, con la rueda en vacío inicie el S.P.A , compruebe
que accionando cualquiera de las dos manetas de freno, estas
accionen el sensor de frenado interrumpiendo el suministro de energía
al motor .
Sillín
Regule el sillín a su medida mediante el cierre de palanca.
Antes de sentarse asegúrese de que el sillín se encuentra bien fijado.
Engrase
Periódicamente debe limpiar con un producto específico y
posteriormente engrasar con un lubricante apropiado las zonas con
movimiento y fricción (frenos, cadena…). Consulte con su proveedor.
Limpieza
Limpie su bicicleta con una esponja húmeda evitando mojar en
exceso los componentes eléctricos.
Evitar el agua a presión, productos disolventes (aguarrás, gasolina…)
Desconectar la batería y retirarla de la bicicleta siempre a la hora de
limpiarla.

Batería:
Autonomía
Su bicicleta está equipada con una batería de Litio-Pol, de alta
densidad energética, gran capacidad de carga, largo ciclo de vida,
sin efecto memoria y no contaminante (reciclar adecuadamente).
La autonomía está entre 40 y 0 Km .Esta cifra está calculada sobre
un circuito con desniveles no superiores al 4%, utilizando
exclusivamente el Sistema de Pedaleo Asistido, con un máximo de
90Kg de carga y con una batería correctamente cargada.
La utilización del acelerador influye directamente en la autonomía de
la batería, ya que la demanda de energía de éste es del 100%. Se
recomienda usar el acelerador sólo en momentos puntuales para
obtener más velocidad en tramos planos donde considere que la
fuerza del motor no será excesiva (más fuerza del motor = más
consumo = menos autonomía)
También disminuye la autonomía: subidas, hinchado incorrecto de las
ruedas, mal ajuste de los frenos y la bicicleta, arrancadas, peso
excesivo…
En recorridos con un perfil de fuertes desniveles, circulando
normalmente y empleando el acelerador, la autonomía puede verse
reducida hasta un 40% aprox.
Más Fuerza del motor = Más consumo = Menos autonomía
Vida de la batería
Su vida estimada es de 2 – 2,5 años.
Una correcta utilización alargará la vida de su batería.
La batería pierde capacidad con: el paso del tiempo, ciclos de
carga/descarga y altas demandas de energía.
Las baterías se garantizan por un año.
Ya que la vida de éstas, al ser un consumible, está sujeta al modo de
utilización y mantenimiento de la misma.
* Ecobi e dispone de un programa especial de sustitución de baterías
de Litio-ión, (plan Renove), entre el primer y segundo año, para
garantizar un coste anual máximo de la batería (infórmese en su
distribuidor habitual).

Carga de batería
Importante: La batería debe estar completamente cargada antes de
utilizar la bicicleta por primera vez.
- La carga de la batería la puede efectuar directamente con la
batería en la bicicleta o extrayéndola de ella. Para extraer la
batería, utilice la llave para abrir el seguro situado en la parte
inferior de la batería y retírela.
- Utilice únicamente el cargador suministrado por Ecobike
- Conecte la batería al cargador asegurando que el conector
de salida del cargador está firmemente conectado al de la
batería.
- Seguidamente conecte el cargador a la red eléctrica.
Observará que el led indicador del cargador se iluminará, de
color rojo cuando la batería necesite carga y de color verde si
la batería no necesita carga o bien haya completado la
carga.
- Cuando la batería esté completamente cargada efectúe el
procedimiento anterior a la inversa. Desconecte el cargador
de la red…
- En caso de anomalía en el proceso de carga, revise el fusible
de la batería, situado junto al conector de carga.
- Cargar la batería completamente durante 8h. las 3 primeras
veces. Con el propósito de “despertar” la batería.
- Recomendamos realizar una carga completa de batería
cuando queden dos luces encendidas en el marcador de
carga de la propia batería.
- NO cargue la batería durante más de 8 horas
- ¡La batería NUNCA deberá estar totalmente descargada!
Utilización del cargador:
- No ponga nada sobre el cargador.
- No manipule el cargador.
- No enchufe con las manos mojadas ni toque el cargador
durante las tormentas.
- Utilice únicamente el cargador suministrado por Ecobike.
- No utilice el cargador en lugares inestables, sucios o
excesivamente húmedos. Evite los rayos directos del sol y
mantenga una buena ventilación.
- Desenchufe el cargador cuando no esté en proceso de carga.
- En caso de duda, contacte con su proveedor.

Precauciones en el uso de la batería:
- Nunca cortocircuite los terminales de la batería.
- Nunca cargue la batería por los terminales de descarga.
- Manténgala alejada del calor excesivo.
- Nunca la sumerja en agua.
- Evite impactos, agresiones físicas o vibraciones severas.
- Manténgala alejada de los niños.
- Asegúrese de desconectar la batería cuando la introduzca o
saque de la bicicleta y cuando no está en uso.
- Nunca desmonte la batería.
En caso de duda, contacte con su proveedor.
Almacenamiento, mantenimiento y transporte de la
batería y cargador:
- La batería debe guardarse en un lugar limpio, seco y
ventilado; evitando el contacto con sustancias corrosivas y
altas temperaturas.
- Si la batería necesita ser almacenada durante un largo
período de tiempo debe hacerse a un nivel de carga del 100%.
Debido a su descarga natural deberá ser recargada cada 2-3
meses con tal de evitar que la carga esté por debajo del 70%,
a partir del cual incrementa la descarga pudiendo dañar la
batería.
- Debe protegerse contra impactos y otras agresiones físicas.
- El cargador debe estar desconectado totalmente durante el
almacenamiento. El cargador debe almacenarse y
transportarse en las mismas condiciones que la batería.
- Las Baterías de Litio-Pol. no tienen efecto memoria. Se
recomienda que la batería esté el menor tiempo con mínima
carga.
- Si la batería ha sido almacenada durante 1 mes o más,
recomendamos cargarla completamente antes de utilizarla.

Garantía:
Se establece una garantía a través del vendedor y de acuerdo a la Ley 23/2003 del 10
de Julio, de Garantías en la Venta de Bienes de Consumo, de conformidad a la
normativa 1999/44CE.
La garantía de las bicicletas es de 2 años, a excepción de los
consumibles.
La BA ERIA tiene 1 año de garantía. No obstante, pasados los
primeros meses el cliente deberá probar que la avería corresponde a
un defecto de fabricación.
La pérdida de autonomía de la batería como consecuencia del
envejecimiento de la misma, no supone un defecto de fabricación.
La garantía no cubre las partes que sufren un desgaste normal por el
uso de la bicicleta eléctrica (neumáticos, cadena, frenos, cables…)
Ecobike no se responsabilizará y perderá la garantía en caso de:
- Utilización de componentes de otros fabricantes.
- Manipulación indebida.
- Reparación en servicio no oficial.
- No presentación de factura de compra.
- Vencimiento de la garantía.
Las reparaciones de averías en garantía se efectuarán UNICAMEN E

que se encuentra situado en la parte superior de la dirección de su
bicicleta.

Fold and unfold system for URBAN:
To fold and unfold, lift the hook (you should hear a click) and slide
right to open it.
Unscrew and fold the handle. Be careful with the cable brakes.
To adjust the saddle, loosen up the handle, adjust the seat tube and
tighten down on the handlebars. To remove the battery follow the
same steps, raise the seat tube until you can remove it easily.

Rules for use:
- Put the key in the battery and turn it on. Note that LEDs on
battery and grip turn on.
- Start: Pedal as you would do on a normal bicycle. After
detecting your first pedal, your Pedal Assistance System will be
activated. You will notice the engine starts (about 0% of power)
providing assistance when pedalling. To receive more help from the
PAS you can use the accelerator, you will get extra help up to 100%.
- Brake levers are equipped with a safety system that will
automatically deactivate the motor. So you can easily brake the bike.
To turn on the engine again, stop operating the brake and start
pedalling.
- The bicycle is equipped with -speed gear (The electrical system
is independent of changing gears)
- We recommend not changing the technical characteristics of
your bike
- Use only the charger and the battery supplied with your bicycle.
- The rear rack is not suitable for transporting passengers.
- DO NOT raise the seat above the safety mark. It can be
dangerous for your safety.
- Do not expose your bike to high temperatures or heavy rain for
long periods
- Your bike is governed by the rules of conventional bicycles in your
city. It is your responsibility awareness and compliance with them.
- he battery is the heart of your bike, take good care of it.

Check before use:
The bike has been reviewed by Ecobike and by your dealer. However,
we recommend you to check and verify the following components
before use:
- Tire pressure (2.5 to 3 kg) - Setting direction and strength
- Brakes front and rear - Changing gears
- Assembly of pedals - Battery Charge
Maintenance and adjustments:
Before proceeding, take of the key and battery!
Adjust brakes
The brake adjustment procedure is the same as in any conventional
bicycle.
Once tighten up, gently roll the wheel to make sure it does not detect
any friction.
Connect the battery to start the wheel load PAS, verify that activating
the brakes, the brake sensor interrupts the power supply to the engine.
Saddle
Adjust the seat at your measure by closing lever. Before sitting down
make sure the saddle is well established.
Grease
Should be cleaned periodically with a specific product and then stuff
areas with motion and friction (brakes, chain ...) with a suitable
lubricant. Check with your supplier.
Clean
Clean your bike with a damp sponge avoiding water in the electrical
components.
Avoid water pressure, commercial solvents (turpentine, gasoline ...)
Always disconnect and remove the battery when you clean your bike.

Battery:
Range
Your bike is equipped with a lithium polymer battery, with high energy
density, high load capacity, long cycle life, no memory effect and
clean (recycle properly).
Range is between 40 and 0 km. This figure is calculated on a circuit
with no slopes exceeding 4%, using only the pedal assistance system
with a maximum load of 90kg and with a battery properly charged.
The use of the accelerator affects the battery life because the energy
demand of this is 100%. We recommend using the accelerator only at
specific moments to get more speed on flat sections where you think
that engine power will not be excessive. (More engine power = more
consumption = less battery life).
Range is also reduced: up hills, wrong weal pressure, wrong adjustment
of brakes or of the bike, excess weight...
On routes with strong up hills, circulating normally and using the
accelerator, Range can be reduced up to 40% Approx.
More Engine power = More consumption = Less Range
Battery Life
Its expected lifetime is 2 - 2.5 years.
Proper use will extend the life of your battery.
The battery loses capacity: the passage of time, cycles of charge /
discharge and high energy demands.
he batteries are guaranteed for one year.
Life of these, being a consumable, is subject to the way you operate
and maintenance.
* Ecobike has a special program to replace lithium batteries (Renewal
Plan) between the first and second year, to ensure a maximum annual
cost of the battery (check with your usual supplier).

Battery Charge
Important: he battery must be fully charged before using the bike for
the first time.
- Charge of battery can be made directly with the battery on
the bike or extraction from it. To remove the battery, use the
key to open the safe position in the bottom of the battery and
remove it.
- Use only the charger supplied by Ecobike
- Connect the battery to the charger making sure that the
charger output connector is firmly connected to the battery.
- Then connect the charger to the stream. Notice that the
charger LED indicator lights up in red when the battery needs
charging and green when the battery does not need charge
or has completed loading.
- When the battery is fully charged, make the above procedure
in reverse. Unplug the charger from the network ...
- In case of malfunctions in the charging process, check the
battery fuse next to the charging connector.
- Charge the battery completely during 8h. the first 3 times in
order to "wake up" the battery.
- We recommend a full charge of battery after riding when less
than 3 leds are on.
- DO NOT charge the battery for more than 8 hours
- he battery must NEVER be fully discharged!
Use of charger:
- Do not put anything on the charger.
- Do not manipulate the charger.
- Do not plug with wet hands or touch the charger during storms.
- Use only the charger supplied by Ecobike.
- Do not use the charger in unstable, dirty or too wet area.
- Avoid direct sunlight and maintain ventilation.
- Unplug the charger when it is not in use.
- Any doubt, contact your supplier.

Precautions in the use of battery:
Never short the battery terminals.
- Never charge the battery terminals for unloading.
- Keep away from excessive heat.
- Never immerse in water.
- Avoid impacts or strong vibrations.
- Keep away from children.
- Be sure to disconnect the battery when remove or when it is not in use.
- Never take the battery to pieces.
- Any doubt, contact your supplier.
Storage, handling and transportation of the battery and
charger:
- The battery should be stored in a clean, dry and ventilated spot,
avoiding contact with corrosive elements and high temperature.
- If the battery needs to be stored for a long period, we
recommend a 100% load level. Due to its natural discharge it
must be recharged every 2-3 months as to prevent the load is
below 70%. Beyond this it could damage the battery.

the same conditions as the battery.
- The lithium-polymer batteries have no memory effect. Keep
your battery charged!!!

Guarantee:
Guarantee by the seller is established, according to Law 23/2003 of
July 10, of Guarantees in the Sale of Consumer Goods in accordance
With the rules 1999/44CE
The bike´s guarantee is 2 years except consumables pieces.
Batteries guarantee is 1 year. However, after the first months the
client must prove that the damage corresponds to a manufacturing
defect.
The loss of battery Range as a result of aging itself is not considered a
manufacturing defect.
The guarantee does not cover the parts that suffer wear and tear
through use (tires, chain, brakes, cables ...)
Ecobike will not be responsible and customer will loose guarantee if:
- Using components from other manufacturers.
- Tampering.
- Repair out of our official repair services.
- Lose of buying invoice.
- Expiration of guarantee.
Guarantee repairs will be made only presenting the bill-
invoice of sale with the chassis number (found located at the
top of the headset of your bike).
You can also fill out the “Guarantee Form” (see next page) and send it
to us or fill out the same form in our web site.
