Introducon
Thank you for choosing the SmartDhome temperature
and humidity sensor. This module is a Z-Wave enabled
device and is fully compable with MyVirtuoso Home
network.

Product descripon and specicaon
The Temperature and humidity sensor (with mul sen-
sor input) is a baery operated temperature sensor
which is able to measure temperature and humidity
and deliver the informaon to the MyVirtuoso Home
gateway (mains powered version is also available
Pt No: 01335-7055-00).
Depending on the temperature data received, the
MyVirtuoso Home gateway can acvate a command
as required. The result is a building with intelligent
systems providing opmal control of comfort and
energy consumpon. Considerable savings can be
achieved by intelligent control of power and heang
consumpon.
The Temperature & Humidity sensor can support ei-
ther 1 external NTC sensor (01335-1857-00), or 1 Pipe
and tank sensor with 4m length cable (01335-1861-00)
or up to 4 Pipe and tank sensors with 1m length cable
(01335-1859-00).
For indoor use, unless using the special external tem-
perature sensor (not included).

Protocol: Z-Wave.
Frequency range: 868.42 MHz.
Operang range: 30 m uninterrupted.

Mounng
1. Remove the wall plate from the rear. The wall
plate can be released by pressing the spring clips
on the boom of the wall plate (picture a). While
pressing spring clips, swing the wall plate out and
down to remove (picture b).

2. Choose the posion where the unit is to be
mounted (refer to the following layout).
Avoid locaons alongside or behind large metal
surfaces that could interfere with the low power radio
signals between the unit and MyVirtuoso Home gate-

way. The sensor should be mounted on an internal
wall, approximately 1.5 metres (5 feet) above oor
level and away from draughts, direct heat sources and
sunlight.
Make sure that there is sucient space around the
unit to allow easy access to the two retaining spring
clips on the base of the wall plate.
It may be necessary to move the sensor around to
ensure good communicaon.
Note: Do not aempt to mount it on the wall unl it
has been included on the network.
Installaon
1. Fit the two supplied AA baeries. The baery
compartment is marked with a plus and minus

sign (mains powered version also available Pt No:
01335-7055-00).
2. For Inclusion: Put MyVirtuoso Home gateway into
“inclusion” mode and press the inclusion/exclu-
sion buon of the device once (Press for at least
one second).
For Exclusion: Put MyVirtuoso Home gateway
into “exclusion” mode and press the inclusion/
exclusion buon of the device once (Press forat
least one second).
Note: On successful inclusion the LED will ash 2 mes.
If the LED ashes 4-mes this means that the inclusion
process has failed, so try to repeat the Inclusion steps.
If the inclusion process fails again, exclude the device
(even if you haven’t included it), then try to include
again.

Note: During the inclusion/exclusion phase, the device
should be within 1 meter of MyVirtuoso Home gateway.
Operaon
Aer including into the gateway, the temperature and
humidity sensor sends the measured informaon.
Warning
Do not dispose of electrical appliances along with gen-
eral waste, use separate collecon facilies.
Contact your local council for informaon regarding
the collecon systems available.
If electrical appliances are disposed of in landlls or
dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the ground-
water damaging the environment and human health.
When replacing old appliances with new ones, the re-
tailer is legally obligated to take back your old appli-
ance for disposal free of charge.
