followed during installation, operation, and
maintenance of the product.

General Safety
Risk of burns. Do
not touch an operating motor. Motors are
designed to operate at high temperatures.
To avoid burns when servicing pump,
allow it to cool for 20 minutes after shut-
down before handling.
Do not allow pump or any system compo-
nent to freeze. To do so will void warranty.
Pump water only with this pump.
Periodically inspect pump and system
components.
Wear safety glasses at all times when
working on pumps.
Risk of explosion.
Pump body may explode if used as a
booster pump.
LIMITATIONS
This pump is suitable to pump water and also can be used both for permanent and temporary
installation. This pump is NOT submersible. This pump is not designed to handle liquids with solids sizes
in excess of 1/8” diameter.

Do not work on pump until power
is unplugged.
Do not cut off ground pin or use

Do not use an extension cord.
The pump power cord should be connected to
a grounded line with a minimum capacity of 15
amps.
1. Before installing or servicing this pump, be
certain power source is disconnected.
2. Installation and electrical wiring must adhere
to state and local codes and must be
completed before priming pump. Check
appropriate community agencies, or contact
local electrical and pump professionals.
3. Call an electrician when in doubt.
Note that plugging into existing outlets may
cause low voltage at motor. This could cause
blown fuses, tripping of motor overload or
burned out motor.
4. For maximum safety, connect pump to a
circuit equipped with a Ground Fault Circuit
Interrupter (GFCI).
5. Voltage of power supply must match the
voltage of the pump.

1. Lubricate inlet side of pump (indicated on pump body) with vegetable oil
2. Attach suction hose to inlet side of pump. It is recommended to use a stiff, heavy walled hose to
reduce the risk of the suction hose collapsing under the vacuum created by the pump suction.
3. Attach the suction strainer if there is any chance of debris being present in the water to be pumped.
Attach a hose to the discharge port of the pump.
4. Place the suction strainer in the deepest point in the water to be pumped.
5. Plug pump in to GFCI protected outlet
6. Pump will take several seconds to prime, as water is pulled to the suction inlet. This is normal.
The previously placed vegetable oil protects the impeller from running dry during this period. This

7. Monitor the pumping process and stop the pump when pumping is complete to prevent dry-running.
6. Before installing pump, clear any debris or
sediment from the water to be pumped.
7. The following may cause severe damage to
pump and will void the warranty.
(a) Using an extension cord.
(b) Cutting off the ground pin or using an
 DGDSWHUÀWWLQJ
(c) Working on pump or switch while
plugged in.
(d) Removing motor housing, unscrewing
impeller, or otherwise removing
impeller seal.
(e) Running the pump continuously.
(f) Pumping chemicals or corrosive
liquids, other than motor oil.

(h) All piping must be clean and free of all
foreign matter to prevent clogging.
(l) Pump will be inadequate if suspension
liquids contain solid particles larger than 1/4”.
Keep pump equipment out of the reach of children! Failure to follow the
directions given could cause serious risk to individuals, objects and/or the
pump equipment.

This pump series has a built in thermal protection switch. The pump stops if an overload
condition occurs. The motor restarts automatically after it has cooled down.

5. Connect pump electrical connection clamps to the appropriate terminals of a 12V Deep Cycle battery.
Connect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal post
of the battery.
6. Pump will take several seconds to prime, as water is pulled to the suction inlet. This is normal.

POSSIBLE CAUSES/SOLUTIONS
• Impeller is obstructed with debris and locked-up. Remove and clean
impeller.
• Low Voltage condition. Check voltage from mains power or 12V battery
depending on pump model.
• If all of the above are OK, then the motor could be malfunctioning.
• Impeller or volute openings are fully or partially clogged.
Remove hoses and clean inlet and discharge. Be sure entire hoses are
clear. Remove impeller and clean between vanes and behind impeller.
• Suction hose is collapsing under vacuum. Use hose with stiff walls.
• Pump is failing to prime. Ensure there are no leaks in suction hose
connection or in the hose itself. Even a pin-hole leak will allow air to
enter the system and prevent priming.
• Vertical pumping distance is too high. Reduce discharge height
• Vertical pumping distance is too high. Reduce distance.
• Impeller or volute openings are fully or partially clogged.
Remove pump and clean.
• Suction strainer is clogged. Clean the strainer inlet openings.
• Pump impeller is partially clogged causing motor to run slow and
overload. Remove pump and clean.
• Motor stator may be defective.
• Battery may be depleted. Recharge or replace battery as necessary.

Limited Warranty
Manufacturer warrants to the original consumer purchaser (“Purchaser” or “You”) that its products are free from defects in
material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of the original consumer purchase. If, within
twelve (12) months from the original consumer purchase, any such product shall prove to be defective, it shall be repaired

applies to manufacturing defects only and not to ordinary wear and tear. All mechanical devices need periodic parts and
service to perform well. This limited warranty does not cover repair when normal use has exhausted the life of a part or
the equipment.
The original purchase receipt and product warranty information label are required to determine warranty eligibility. Eligibil-
ity is based on purchase date or original product – not the date of replacement under warranty. The warranty is limited to
repair or replacement of original purchased product only, not replacement product (i.e. one warranty replacement allowed
per purchase).
Purchaser pays all removal, installation, labor, shipping, and incidental charges.
Claims made under this warranty shall be made by returning the product to the retail outlet where it was purchased or to
the factory immediately after the discovery or any alleged defect. Manufacturer will subsequently take corrective action as
promptly as reasonably possible. No requests for service will be accepted if received more than 30 days after the warranty
expires. Warranty is not transferable and does not apply to products used in commercial/rental applications.

You must pay all labor and shipping charges necessary to replace product covered by this warranty. This warranty does
