Introduction English
PCI Express is the next generation of I/O interconnection standards to support the high
bandwidth required by PCs, consumer electronics and communication devices. The architecture
is a cost-effective, low-pin count, and point-to-point technology to maximize the bandwidth,
reduce the costs and design complexity and enable smaller form factors. This card is the best
solution for Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express with potential transfer rates of 2.5 Gbps using a
single-lane (or x1) PCI Express link.
This Card is a 10/100/1000M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express Adapter, which is specifically
designed for a desktop computer equipped with x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 PCI Express slots. It
provides Gigabit connections with speeds up to 1000 Mbps (1Gbps) raw bandwidth and which is
s 100 times faster than the original Ethernet, while compatible with existing Ethernet. This
Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express Card equips a high quality Marvell chipset that is optimized for
maximum throughput and low CPU utilization. It also comes with a comprehensive software
driver for all operation systems, including Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Novell Netware.

Package List
Please check if the following items are included and in good condition upon opening your
package. Contact your vendor if any item is damaged or missing.
1. One gigabit Ethernet PCI Express Adapter
2. One Quick Installation Guide
3. One CD-ROM (Including drivers and User’s Quick Installation Guide)

3. Remove the metal bracket on the rear of a free PCI Express slot.
4. Insert the card into one free PCI Express slot and screw it firmly on the bracket side.
5. Place the cover back onto the computer.
6. Insert the plug into the power socket, and turn on PC.

Driver Installation
1. Windows 2000/XP/2003 Driver Installation
Once the Windows 2000, XP and 2003 startup, the system will detect the Gigabit Ethernet PCI
Express Adapter. Follow the procedures to install Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express Adapter driver
under Microsoft Windows XP server pack 2 Operation System
1. Please click "Cancel" to close it, when Found New Hardware Wizard Windows pop-up.
2. Insert the CD shipped along with the Gigabit PCI Express Adapter into your CD-ROM drive.
The Autorun.exe program should be executed automatically. If not, run Autorun.exe manually
from CD-ROM drive’s root directory.

3. The following screen will be displayed. Click “Setup Utility ”.
4. The following screen will be displayed. Please select the driver based on your Windows
XP/2000/2003 Operation System.

The “Gigabit PCI Express Adapter Utilities - InstallShield Wizard” is displayed auto run.
5. Please Click “ Next “

6. Please select “ I accept the terms in the license agreement “ and click “ Next “
7. Please click “ Install “ to install the Gigabit PCI Express adapter utility.

8. The system starts installing the Gigabit PCI Express adapter utility.
9. Click "Finish" to complete Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express Adapter installation.

Hardware Check
Go to “Device Manager” which you can access from the Control Panel. You should see an
"Generic Marvell Yukon Chipset based Gigabit Ethernet Controller" under "Network Adapter"
item.
Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager

Networking Settings
Click "Network Connection" in Control Panel to set your network settings.
2. Right-click the Local Area Connection of Gigabit Ethernet card, then select "Properties" from
menu.
3. Double-click the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" item to set network settings.

4. Right-click the Local Area Connection of the Gigabit Ethernet card, then select "Status" from
the menu to check the network status.

Vista Driver Installation
Once the Windows Vista startup, the system will detect the Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express
Adapter. Follow the procedures to install Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express Adapter driver under
Microsoft Windows XP server pack 2 Operation System
10.Please click "Cancel" to close it, when Found New Hardware Wizard Windows pop-up.
11.Insert the CD shipped along with the Gigabit PCI Express Adapter into your CD-ROM drive.

17.The system starts installing the Gigabit PCI Express adapter utility.
18.Click "Finish" to complete Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express Adapter installation.
