CONTENTS OF THE BOX

Download the JANUS application from the iOS and Android store to control the JANUS
alarm system from your smartphone. You can access the application by searching for
Janus from the App Store or Google Play.

Wireless alarm control panel with built-in rechargeable battery and
9V DC adapter
Janus is designed to be a remotely controllable and monitored
device that ensures the security of life and property against theft,
communicates wirelessly, can connect to the internet from Wi-Fi.
Simplicity is at the forefront in the design of the Janus, which has a
structure that can appeal to all types of users. In order to maximize
user interaction, the indicators on the touch screen have been selected
from warm colors and modernized in accordance with the standards.
Developed with a human-centered design approach, Janus can guide
the user between menus in English with voice guidance. Designed
within the same concept, it communicates wirelessly with magnetic
contact, motion detector, external siren, flood detector, smoke
detector and key fob, providing a systemic integrity. With these
features, Janus can be used in any interior from individual security
to corporate security.

Status Key: System status information is displayed when the status key is
pressed. The following indicators, LED colors and status messages are available.
Status LED Indicator: Shows the status of the panel and messages in the system.
Ready LED Indicator: Indicates whether the panel is ready to be armed.
Arm Away Key and the LED Indicator: You can use this key to arm away the area.
Press the armed away button, the panel will ask you to enter your password.
Enter the password and press the conrm button. When pressed the panel will
be armed within the set time. During this time, it beeps to notify you that it is
counting down for setup.
All detectors are active in this setup. The panel will go into alarm if anyone
enters the house from outside or moves inside. If you are staying at home,
do not set up outside!

Press the arm stay button, the panel will ask you to enter your password.
When the password is entered and the conrm button is pressed, the panel
will be armed within the set time. During this time, it beeps to notify you that it
is counting down for setup.
Detectors that are dened in the interior area during the arming process will
not be active. The detectors on the doors and windows that have access to
outside will be active while you are traveling comfortably in your house.
Enter your password and press the conrm button. “Please wait” announcement
will be heard. Do not take any action until you hear the announcement "System
Disarmed". This process takes 5-10 seconds.

By-pass is the process of temporarily excluding any detector from arming.
Even if the detector you by-pass is turned on, it will not prevent you from
setting up the panel. When the system is armed it will ignore the alarms from
this detector. 7
By-Pass Key and the LED Indicator: You can use this function to activate and
deactivate the connected detectors.
Zone Key and the LED Indicator: You can use this function to set up alarm
partially.
After the disarming process is completed, if there is an alarm stored in the
memory, the Alarm LED in memory will flash. You can nd out the zone where
the alarm occurred by listening to the announcement by pressing the status
button.
After this announcement, the Alarm LED in memory will turn off.
Press the zone button, enter the zone you want to arm / disarm and press the
conrm button. After that, you will be asked to enter your password. When you
enter your password and press the Conrm button, the region you want to be
set up will be established.
This type of installation is also used in special conditions. For example, it is
recommended if a single system is used for properties with multiple floors.

*By-pass operation is valid for one-time installation only. It becomes active
again when the system is disabled.
How to Bypass?
Press the by-pass button, enter the device number you want to disable and
conrm. Enter and conrm your password.
By-pass Activation
Press the by-pass button, press the 2 button to arm. Enter the device number
you want to activate and conrm. Enter and conrm your password.
Chime Key and the LED Indicator: You can use this function to turn on the
chime mode of the connected detectors.

Fire Call Key and the LED Indicator: If the alarm panel is connected to the
central monitoring system, the re call message is transmitted.

Medical Call Key and the LED Indicator: If the alarm panel is connected to the
central monitoring system, a medical call message is transmitted.
Emergency Keys
There are 3 different keys on the panel to be used in emergency situations.
By pressing these keys, you can forward your urgent message to the central
monitoring station. These keys are re, ambulance and police respectively.
Keys are activated by pressing, after pressing the relevant key light starts
flashing, when the message is successfully transmitted to the center, the light
stays on. The alarm key is used for police call.
The light is turned off by entering the password on the panel and pressing the
conrm key.

Police Call Key and the LED Indicator: In case the alarm panel is connected
to the central monitoring system, the call message is transmitted when the
alarm key is pressed for police call.

MESSAGES AND DEFINITIONS

BREACH
PIR
Detector
When the PIR detector detects motion in the environment, it sends violation
signal to the control panel.
Magnetic
Contact
When there are any changes in the magnet locations in the magnetic
contact, it sends violation signal to the control panel.
SABOTAGE If the detector is disassembled or its box is opened, a sabotage status signal
is sent to the control panel.
BATTERY ERROR When the battery voltage drops below 2.5V DC, low battery information is
sent to the control panel.
INSPECTION
SIGNAL
Detectors conduct mutual audits with the control panel every 18 minutes.
Failure to detect one of these controls by the control panel will cause the
system to issue an audit error message.

1-2 Background Light Level Service Choose between 1 and 3 background light
levels. 1 for off, 2 for open, 3 for automatic.
1-3 Entry Delay Service Select an entry delay between 10-120s. Press
cancel key to go back.
1-4 Exit Delay Service Select an exit delay between 10-120s. Press
cancel key to go back.
2 Event History User Press 1 for Active Events and 2 for Alarm
Events.
EXPLANATION OF THE MENUS
Message Description
ARM AWAY User arm away when they are out of the territory. If the panel is ready to set, it
will conrm and the arm away will be conrmed.
ARM STAY User arms stay when they are inside of the territory. If the panel is ready to set,
it will conrm and the arm away will be conrmed.
DISARM Disarm takes place if the user password is correct.

Remote control

3-1-3 Change User Password User
Enter user number and conrm. Enter the
password you want to re-dene to the user
and conrm. When you repeat and conrm the
password, the user will be dened.
3-1-4 Enabling Service
Permission User Press 1 to open, 2 to close, press cancel key to
go back.
4 Device Settings Service Press 1 to dene a device, 2 to dene a zone, 3
to delete a device.
4-1 Device Introduction Service Press 1 to start the rst time installation or 2 to
add a new device to the installed system.
4-2 Dene Zone Service Press 1 to dene zone, press 2 to dene the
area number.
4-2-1 Zone Types Service
Press 1 for the instant zone, 2 for the delay
zone, 3 for the follower zone, 4 for the 24-hour
active zone, 5 for the 24-hour silent zone, 6 for
the active zone, 7 for the armed stay passive
zone.

Press 1 to Add User, 2 to Delete User, 3 to

3-1-1 Adding User User
Enter user number and conrm. Enter the
password for the user and conrm. Repeat
password to dene the user.
3-1-2 Deleting a User User
Enter user number and conrm. After this
process, the information regarding the user
number you have entered will be deleted from
the system.

5 Service Settings Service
Press 1 for Wi-Fi discovery and operating mode,
2 to listen to the IP address, 3 for panel tamper,
4 to return to default panel settings, press the
cancel key to go back.
5-1 Wi-Fi and Operating
Mode Service Press 1 to open the Wi-Fi discovery mode, 2 to
open AP mode, 3 to turn on station mode.
5-2 Listening to IP Address Service You can listen to the IP Address from this menu.
Please note this address.
5-3 Panel Tamper Service Press 1 to turn on the panel tamper switch, 2
to turn it off.
6 Tests Service Tests are available for service user.

IMPORTANT

4-2-2 Area Number Service
Enter the device number you want to dene
area number and conrm. When you enter the
area number and conrm it, the device will be
dened in this area.
4-3 Deleting a Device Service Enter the device number you want to delete
and conrm.

*The service permit is valid for 1 hour. After 1 hour, the user has to give
permission to the service user again.
Granting Service Permit
IMPORTANT: The service user must obtain permission from the user in
order to operate on the panel. The user must log in with his own password
and give the service permission from the menu, User Settings - Opening
Service Permission - 3-1-4.
IMPORTANT: If no action is taken, the panel password lock is automatically
activated in 5 minutes.

Recommended mounting conguration, details for xing methods,
prohibited areas, mounting location and location features
The alarm panel should be mounted flat on the wall.
It is recommended to use 3 screws and dowels with the tool that comes out
of the box in the assembly.
It is recommended to be mounted close to the modem.
The alarm panel is designed for indoor use. Please do not install it outside.
Important:

Open the Janus Set cardboard box and check that everything that should be
inside is in place. If you nd something missing, please notify the institution
from which you purchased it.
Write the layout and control plans of all devices in the table in Annex A at the
end of this manual. Collect all devices to be used in the system and number
them according to the layout plan you have created.

After attaching the wall mount, slide the panel on it from top to bottom and
x it.
Screw the xed panel from the top part with the 2.9x19 sheet screw from
the place B. 17
Open the cover part of the panel indicated by the number 7.
Insert the battery to the battery slot.
Make the battery connections.
Close the box of the connected device and screw it in places 7.
Take out the wall mounting apparatus, place it on the wall where it will be
mounted and draw with a pencil.
As shown in Figure 1, assemble with 3 screws and dowels coming out of
the box from 3 points indicated by A point.

Memory Reset Installed Entering the memory reset procedure
The PIR detector should be mounted flat on the wall.
It is recommended to use 4 screws and dowels that come with the box.
It is recommended to be installed at a maximum distance of 20m from the
alarm control panel in closed areas. Detection range is up to 100 meters in
open areas. Furniture and walls reduce the detection range.
The recommended mounting height is 2.25 meters.
Detection distance of the detector at 2.25 meters is shown in Figure 2. 19
