INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
How to install the bicycle out of the box
1. Unpack the bicycle from the box an cut all the ties that hel the bicycle together uring
shipping.
2. Install the han le bar by inserting the han lebar stem into the hea tube. An Allen key is
supplie to install the han le bar stem.
3. A just the han lebar by loosening the nut hol ing the han lebar an then re-tightening it with
the inclu e allen wrench.
4. ! WARNING: Do NOT over tighten nut against the fork; for you will risk amaging your
suspension fork.
5. The front an rear LED/reflector Lamp runs on regular AA or AAA batteries. The Front LED is
turne on/off by clicking on the button on top of the lamp. The rear LED lamp switch in un er
the rear LED. Remove the plastic tabs in the battery to start using them.
6. Install the pe als to the bike. Each of the pe als has a letter in icating which si e it nee s to
be installe to. R=Right an L=Left. Install them using the provi e wrench.
7. ! WARNING: Before ri ing the bicycle ensure the main Li-on battery is properly installe an
locke in before ri ing the bicycle. If the Battery is not firmly locke onto the hol er. it may sli e
out an cause amage to the battery.
8. Insert the battery into the battery hol er by aligning the si e tabs an then lock in your battery
with provi e key. Ensure that the rails/tabs are properly aligne below the battery. Ensure that
the battery is locke in by lightly tugging on the battery upwar to ensure it will not sli e out.

How to operate the Electric Bicycle
The Electric bicycle can be operate in 3 ifferent mo es:
1. Manual Mode –
Make sure the Battery Meter/power meter on the center of the han lebar is “OFF” an then,
pe al the bicycle normally as you woul any bicycle.
2a. Pedal Assist Mode (Level 1, 2 and 3) –
Turn on the electrical system to the electric bike by epressing the power button on the
battery. Ri e the bicycle normally as you woul any bicycle.
The motor will stop if the brake lever is epresse even if you are still pe aling the bicycle.
The motor will stop when you stop pe aling in this mo e.
To put your bike in pe al assist mo e 1, 2 or 3, turn on your bike's electrical system an
then use the up/ own button on the left han lebar control to pick the esire pe al assist
level.
In Pe al assist mo e level 1, the system will provi e you with the most “miles per charge”
with the battery in use among the pe al assist mo es. This is the most power efficient way
to ri e your ebike with the motor switche on.
In Pe al assist mo e level 2, the system will provi e you with mo erate to high “miles per
charge” of battery power use among the pe al assist mo es. This is the secon most
power efficient way to ri e your ebike with the motor switche on.
In Pe al assist mo e level 3, the system will provi e you with mo erate “miles per charge”
of battery power use among the pe al assist mo es. This is the thir most power efficient
way to ri e your ebike with the motor switche on.
2b.Pedal Assist Mode (Level and 5) –
Turn on the electrical system to the electric bike by epressing the power button on the
battery. Ri e the bicycle normally as you woul any bicycle.
The motor will stop if the brake lever is epresse even if you are still pe aling the bicycle.
The motor will stop when you stop pe aling in this mo e.
To put your bike in pe al assist mo e 4 or 5, turn on your bike's electrical system an then
use the up/ own button on the left han lebar control to pick the esire pe al assist level.
! CAUTION: This mo e is esigne to achieve a spee of >20 MPH. User iscretion is
a vise
In Pe al assist mo e level 4, the system will provi e you with the low amount of “miles per
charge” with the battery in use among the pe al assist mo es. This mo e will provi e you
with spee s on pe al assist over 20mph. User
In Pe al assist mo e level 5, the system will provi e you with the least amount of “miles per
charge” with the battery in use among the pe al assist mo es. This mo e will provi e you
with the maximum spee on pe al assist over 20mph, as fast as the motor can turn.
2c. Pedal Assist Mode (Level 0)
Turn on the electrical system to the electric bike by epressing the power button on the
battery. Ri e the bicycle normally as you woul any bicycle.
The motor will stop if the brake lever is epresse even if you are still pe aling the bicycle.
The motor will stop when you stop pe aling in this mo e.
To put your bike in pe al assist mo e 0, turn on your bike's electrical system an then use
the up/ own button on the left han lebar control to pick the pe al assist level 0.

In this mo e, the motor will only function with the use of the throttle.
The Pe al assist will not function in this mo e.
! CAUTION: This mo e can achieve a spee of up to 20 MPH. User iscretion is a vise
The motor will stop if the brake lever is epresse even if you are have the throttle
epresse /engage .
This mo e will give you a Me ium to low “miles per charge” of battery power use among
the pe al assist mo es, epen ing on your throttle use
To switch back to pe al assist mo es, use the up/ own irection button on the han lebar
control to pick the esire pe al assist mo e levels.
3. Fully Electric Mode –
Turn on the electrical system to the electric bike by epressing the power button on the
battery. Ri e the bicycle normally as you woul any bicycle.
The motor will stop if the brake lever is epresse even if you are still pe aling the bicycle.
The motor will stop when you stop pe aling in this mo e.
Turn on the bike's electrical system an then use the up/ own button on the left han lebar
control to pick the esire pe al assist level. While the thumb throttle is engage , the pe al
assist mo e is not active an has no effect on the spee or power of the electric motor.
Depress the thumb throttle in any increments of power you esire to power the motor of the
bicycle an it will take off.
This mo e can be use in conjunction with any of the above mo es as the amount of motor
power supplie while twisting the thumb throttle overri es whatever pe al assist mo e
level.
You can engage this mo e whenever you want as long as the system is turne “ON”.
While pe aling will lighten the loa eman on the electric motor, you o NOT nee to
pe al in this mo e of operation.
! CAUTION: This mo e is esigne to achieve a spee of up to 20 MPH. User iscretion is
a vise
The motor will NOT stop when you stop pe aling while the thumb throttle is engage .
The motor will stop if the brake lever is epresse even if the thumb throttle is engage .
! CAUTION: Remember to let go of the thumb throttle when getting on or off the bike
weather or not the brake levers are engage .
In this mo e, the electric bike will use the as much if not more amount of battery power
than in pe al assist mo es 4 or 5.
This mo e will give you the low “miles per charge” compare to most of the above pe al
assist mo es of operation
About the Brake Safety Feature on all our Electric Bikes.
ALL our electric bikes make use of a wire brake lever kill switch for safety purposes. When
the brake lever is engage , it sen s a kill signal to the controller to isable the motor un er
all circumstances an con ition. This will ensure the motor oes not continue to spin when
you nee the bicycle to stop.

How to read the Battery Meters and about the Li-on battery
There are 2 Battery meters on your bike. 1 is locate conveniently on the Han lebar LCD. The other
Battery meter is locate on the battery showing the current capacity of the battery in various states of
ischarge. To check the battery capacity on the LCD simply install the battery an turn on the
electrical system. To check the battery capacity on the battery, turn on the battery an then epress
the battery meter button.
As with any Lithium-ion batteries, there are a limite number of times a battery can be charge . While
priming Lithium-ion batteries are not necessary (which means it may be charge whenever you want
without affecting its charge capacity), the number of times it is charge oes affect the overall
longevity of the battery life.
To conserve battery power, switch off the electrical system by pressing the “ON/OFF” button on the
battery, when the electric power is not nee e .
! NOTE: You can remove the keys from the bike after locking the battery onto the rack. You o not
nee to leave the key inserte on the bike to operate the electrical system of this bicycle.
! WARNING: Please keep your keys to your electric bicycle in a safe place. Each set of keys are
unique to your particular electric bicycle an unfortunately we o not keep a copy of your keys on file.
Nor woul we have a way of repro ucing them.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Battery
!WARNING:
Never short circuit the charge or ischarge battery terminals.
Never charge the battery by the ischarge terminals or ischarge the battery by the charge
terminals.
Keep the battery away from excessive heat an or open flames.
Never pour on or submerge the battery in water.
To avoi amage to the battery, never subject the battery to intense physical impact, shock or
severe vibration.
Protect the battery from water or moisture at all times.
Protect the ischarge an charge terminals of the battery from rain or water logging.
Keep the battery away from chil ren.
When the battery is not in use for an exten e perio of time, remove the battery from the
battery hol er for storage.
Never isassemble the battery. The battery oes not contain serviceable parts.
Do not sit on or place any object on or over the battery.
Use only the supplie charger to charge the battery.

Storage, Maintenance and transport
Battery
If the battery nee s to be store for an exten e perio of time, it shoul be kept at aroun
50% charge capacity (or charge the battery for about 2-3hours from empty) an shoul be
place in a ry an well ventilate place.
To maintain battery life expectancy, the battery nee s to be charge at least once for 2-3 hours
every two months.
The battery an charger shoul be kept in storage in a clean, ry an well ventilate place.
Avoi contact with corrosive substances an keep the battery away from excessive heat an
or open flames.
Shoul the battery nee to be transporte , pack it in a box, an ensure that it is always
protecte from intense physical impact, shock, severe vibrations, irect sunlight, or water
logging. The battery may be transporte in a vehicle such as an automobile, train, ship,
airplane an etc. Please check your local rules an regulations regar ing such transportation.

Charger
The charger shoul be isconnecte from the battery when it is kept in storage.
Shoul the charger nee to be transporte , pack it into a box an ensure that it is always
protecte from intense physical shock, severe vibrations, impact, irect sunlight, or water
logging. The battery may be transporte in a vehicle such as an automobile, train, ship,
airplane an etc. Please check your local rules an regulations regar ing such transportation.

Charging the Battery
Connect the battery to the charger; ensure the output terminal of the charger an the input
terminal of the battery are firmly connecte .
When the charger is plugge into a wall outlet, the charger LED in icator will turn RED to
in icate that the battery is charging
The LED in icator on the charger will turn GREEN when the battery is fully charge .
Disconnect the charger from the wall outlet before isconnecting the charger from the battery.
To ensure long battery life, fully charge the battery for at least twelve (12) hours uring the first
initial three charges an charge the battery at least once for 2-3 hours every 2 months
! NOTE: Only charge the battery pack using the supplie charger.
! NOTE: Always plug the charger onto the Battery pack before plugging the charger to the wall
socket.
! WARNING: Do NOT charge the battery for more than 24hrs for risk of amaging the battery.
Repair and Service
!WARNING:
Inspect the bicycle frequently. Failure to inspect the bicycle an to make repairs or
a justments, as necessary, can result in injury to the ri er or to others. Make sure all parts are
correctly assemble an a juste as written in the owner’s manual.
Imme iately replace any amage , missing, or worn parts.
Make sure all fasteners are correctly tightene as written in the owner’s manual
Parts that are not properly tightene can be lost or operate poorly.
Do not over tighten parts, as over-tightening may amage the part.
Make sure any replacement fasteners are of the correct type an size.
Your bike uses an Aluminum Alloy frame. Ensure that the bicycle frame is carefully an
frequently inspecte ; as Aluminum frames can evelop micro fractures from stress, severe
impact an shocks. If you see these micro fractures or cracks, stop ri ing the bicycle
imme iately.

In case of micro fractures, have the bicycle frame repaire an inspecte by a qualifie
professional before ri ing the bicycle again.
NOTE: Have a bicycle service shop make any repairs or a justments for which you o not have the
correct tools to or if you o not sufficiently un erstan the instructions set forth in this electric bicycle’s
manual supplement or the bicycle owner’s manual.
Inspection of the Bearings Maintenance
1. Frequently check the bearings of the bicycle. Have a bicycle service shop lubricate the bearing
once a year or any time they o not pass the tests as note in the Bicycle owner’s manual.
Serial Numbers to your EG Electric Bike
1. There are 3 serial numbers that are of importance on your EG Electric Bike. They are the
Frame serial number, the Motor serial number an the Battery pack serial number. All the serial
numbers except for the battery's can be foun on the outsi e of the box the bicycle was
shippe in.
2. The Bike Frame Serial number to your EG Electric Bike is locate on the un ersi e of the bike
below the bottom bracket on the frame.
3. The Motor serial number is locate on the si e of the motor.
4. The Battery serial number is locate neat the output posts of the Battery pack.
How to detach the rear wheel of the Electric bike
1. ! WARNING: We o not con one mo ifying the EG Electric Bicycle in any way shape or form.
Mo ifying the bike in any way, will voi your Warranty. The instructions below are written only
for the maintenance or repair of the bike.
2. To etach the rear wheel, first unhook the connector near the rear wheel on the right han si e
of the bike.
3. Remove the plastic covers over the screws on the rear axle.
4. Unscrew the nuts on both si es of the rear axle an the wheel shoul come right off.
5. Unhook the chains from the rear freewheel (gears)
6. To install it back on, please note an reverse all the etachment instructions.
