Thank you for buying an Egholm product.
The Egholm 2001 is a Danish designed and manufactured product which offers a very flexible way
of maintaining outdoor areas.
Optimal performance of your Egholm Bogie Trailer:
To ensure the optimal performance of your Egholm Bogie Trailer, please read this operator’s manual
carefully before starting to use the machine. Failure to do so can result in personal injury and
damage to the machine.
Safety:
The Bogie Trailer is equipped with various devices to ensure optimal operational safety both for the user
and the surroundings. We therefore ask you to pay particular attention to Section 1.1 Safety. The
machine must only be serviced by professionals.
The Bogie Trailer is designed only for use by professionals. On delivery, the user will receive thorough
instructions in the use of the machine and will thus become a competent operator.
Do not lend the machine to anyone who has not been thoroughly trained and has not read this manual
carefully.
The operator’s manual should be considered as a permanent part of the machine and so must
remain with it if the machine is sold.
Warnings:
Some items in this operator’s manual are marked with this warning symbol.
The warning indicates areas where extra care has to be taken to avoid personal
injury or damage to the machine and its accessories. The warning also shows
what you should pay special attention to.

As it is the Egholm policy to make continuous improvements, we reserve the right to alter the specifi-

or shortcomings in the operator’s manual.

1. General information
The Bogie Trailer is especially well suited for trans-
porting large quantities of topsoil, sand or gravel.
The Bogie Trailer can be unhitched with its full
load of 800 kg, and quickly coupled back on to
the Egholm 2100, so that it is once again an
integral part of the machine.
The Trailer is emptied using a hydraulic tip func-
tion, and loading is simplified by the removable
sides and the drop tailboard.
The Bogie Trailer acts, as well as the tipper trail-
er, as the base for the collecting container of the
Leaf Suction Unit.
Useful tips
Mounting/Dismounting: Always position the
Bogie Trailer on an even surface, so it is easy to
drive up to for mounting.
Remember to release the hydraulic pressure
before removing the couplings, this is your guar-
antee that the trailer is in a locked position. The
Bogie Trailer must be in a locked position when it
is disconnected fully loaded.
The fitting on the rear makes it possible to lie the tail-
board flat when, for example, transporting long tools.
Wipe the snap couplings before fitting, as this
protects the hydraulic system.

Make sure that the helmet lock for the trailer console is
closed and locked before mounting the Bogie Trailer.

2. Instructions for use
2.1 Assembly / Disassembly
Assembly:
If the Egholm 2100 is fitted with a rear lift, this should be
lowered before starting assembly.
1. It is recommended that the hydraulic hoses should
be hung in over the side of the Bogie Trailer to keep
them clear and free from dirt when the Bogie Trailer
is fitted.
2. Reverse the machine right up under the Bogie
Trailer. (Picture 1)
3. Switch off the machine. (See the operator’s manual
for the basic machine, section 2.2)
4. Push lever C, on the left-hand side of the machine,
up and down a couple of times to remove any pres-
sure in the C-connectors. (Picture 2)
5. Fit the hydraulic hoses onto the C-connectors, on
the left-hand side of the rear chassis of the
machine. (Picture 3)
6. Start the machine. (See the operator’s manual for
the basic machine, section 2.2)
7. Raise the Bogie Trailer by pushing lever C on the
left-hand side of the machine down to position 2,
until the trailer clears the machine by about 5 cm.

8. Turn the locking handle on the left-hand side of the
Bogie Trailer so that it points forward. (Picture 4)
9. Lower the Bogie Trailer by pushing lever C on
the left-hand side of the machine down to position 1,
until the trailer begins to rise and there is a “click”.
The Bogie Trailer is now fitted and fastened to the
machine.

2. Instructions for use
Disassembly:
1. Start the machine. (See the operator’s manual for
the basic machine, section 2.2)
2. Turn the locking handle on the left-hand side of the
Bogie Trailer so that it points forward. (Picture 1)
3. Remover the Bogie Trailer by pushing lever C on the
left-hand side of the machine down to position 2
until it rises free of the machine. (Picture 2)
The locking handle is released automatically.
4. Switch off the machine. (See the operator’s manual
for the basic machine, section 2.2)
5. Lower the Bogie Trailer by pushing lever C on
the left-hand side of the machine up to position 1,
and let go when the trailer cannot go any lower. The
Bogie Trailer is now in locked position. (Picture 2)
6. Remove the hydraulic hoses. (Picture 3)
7. Put the protective caps on the snap couplings to
protect them from dirt. (Picture 4)
The Bogie Trailer has now been removed, and the
machine can be driven away from the Bogie Trailer.

2.2 Sides and tailboard
Tailboard:
- The tailboard can be folded right down by opening
the handles on the sides of the tailboard. (Picture 1)
- The tailboard can be locked in horizontal position for
transporting planks, garden tools etc in the trailer.
(Picture 2)
The tailboard is locked by turning the supporting
arm under the Bogie Trailer so that the rubber
stop on the tailboard fits inside the supporting
arm. (Picture 3)
- The tailboard can be completely removed.
The sides:
- The sides are constructed of two sections.
- The upper section can be removed by lifting them
vertically. (Picture 4)
To replace the sides, lower them vertically so the
guide spindle in the rear frame fits into the hole
on the lower part of the sides.
- The lower sections can be folded right down by
opening the handles on the sides. (Picture 1)
- The lower sections of the sides can be completely
removed.
2.3 Start-up
Start the machine. (See the operator’s manual for
the basic machine, section 2.2)

2.4 Emptying the Bogie Trailer
Tipping height: 65 cm.

1. Make sure the machine is level and not “at an angle”
(it must not be turned).
2. Put the brakes of the machine on and open the tail-
board on the trailer.
Note that the tailboard moves downwards when tip-
ping, it can be removed before emptying. (Picture 1)
3. Push lever C, on the left-hand side of the machine,
up to position 1, and the trailer will start to tip.

4. Release lever C when the trailer has fully tipped.
5. Lower the Bogie Trailer by pushing lever C down to
position 2.
6. Close the tailboard.

3. Service and maintenance
3.1 Cleaning
Daily cleaning and maintenance will extend the lifetime
of both the machine and the attachment.
Clean the Bogie Trailer with clean water when it is no
longer required for use.
3.2 Maintenance
It is recommended that you regularly remove any loose
paint and repaint any damaged areas.

4. Conditions

4.1 Warranty
The warranty period for the materials and manu-
facture of this Bogie Trailer is 12 months from
the date of purchase.
In case of errors or defects on the machine with-
in the warranty period, Egholm Maskiner A/S will
carry out the necessary repairs without charge
for materials and working hours in accordance
with the terms and conditions listed below. The
customer is to cover the costs for transportation.
The scope of warranty:
1. The Egholm warranty is only valid on presen-
tation of the original receipt supplied with the
model description, serial number and date of
purchase.
2. Regular checks, adjustments, services and
technical alterations are not covered by
the guarantee.
3. All inquiries concerning the warranty are to
be addressed to the place where the
machine was purchased.
4. This warranty does not cover faults and
defects which cannot be traced back to
defects in material or production errors.
5. Egholm Maskiner A/S reserves the right to
make improvements and design-related
alterations to the machine without being
obliged to modify previously delivered mod-
els in relation hereto.
6. This warranty is valid for persons who have
legally acquired the machine within the war-
ranty period.
The guarantee does not cover:
* Wear and tear, accidents, damage to the
equipment caused by operating errors,
changes to the construction of the machine, or
use of non-Egholm spare parts or implements.
* Machines with illegible serial numbers.
* Damage caused by force majeure such as
lightning, flood, fire, war, civil disturbance
etc. or other causes over which Egholm
Maskiner A/S has no control.

4. Conditions
4.2 Complaint
All inquiries regarding the machine should be made to the distributor from whom the machine was
purchased. This applies to inquiries concerning normal use, service, maintenance and spare parts
as well as to any complaints.
If there are questions that the distributor cannot answer, please do not hesitate to contact Egholm
Maskiner A/S directly. Also feel free to contact us with suggestions or requests for special implements
and/or features for the machine. We wish you many years of safe and satisfied use of your machine.

4.3 Disposal
When – many years from now – your Egholm Bogie Trailer comes to the end of its working life, it
should be disposed of in a responsible manner and conform with the relevant disposal regulations.
1. Used hydraulic oil is to be disposed of at an approved waste disposal facility or site.
2. Remove all plastic and rubber parts and discard in a dustbin.
3. After the parts mentioned have been removed, the Bogie Trailer is ready to be handed over to
one of your local approved scrap merchants.
